And here is another model of a sweater for a boy. Now for a 2 year old. Look how fabulous nice outfit. But in addition to beauty, it is also very practical. Well, in cold winter weather, such clothes will warm your baby.

Of the materials for work, you will need 250 grams of acrylic yarn with viscose. Color at your discretion, in the presented model - blue-beige-cream scale. You will also need fifty grams of cream-colored yarn. Knitting needles number 3.5 and hook number 4.5.

Bomber, pullover, cardigan, sweatshirt... How not to get lost in terms of a warm knitted sweater familiar from childhood? The most familiar and close option is a sweater.

Pullover- this is clothes knitted from warm yarn, without fasteners. This word came from the English dialect: "sweater" from the verb "to sweat" - to sweat.

If you decide to knit a sweater for a baby, you need to decide on a few points:

Compound. For a children's sweater, yarn of a natural composition is suitable, it can be cotton threads, woolen or yarn that has linen in its composition. It is not recommended to give preference to acrylic, synthetic and viscose compositions.

You need to choose a knitting pattern.

Pay attention to a simple pattern that is not oversaturated with complex patterns and ornate weaves.

Alternating columns with and without crochets, diluted with air loops, is suitable.

Colors for a boy

The color scheme for a boy extends far beyond the standard blue.

The following combinations look most advantageous on sweaters: yellow-gray, gray-blue, brown-blue, yellow-green.

These shades of the natural range harmoniously fit into any style of children's wardrobe.

Trendy shades 2018-2019

Stick to a calm tone, avoiding "acid" colors.

Important! The main thing is to choose what to focus on, whether it will be a harmonious combination of colors in one key or a game of “bright-light” contrasts.

Pattern for knitting a children's sweater

If you do not have experience as a cutter, you can simplify this item, and take an existing t-shirt or sweater of the child, and knit a shelf and back focusing on it.

A simple pattern for a turtleneck sweater for a boy

For a more accurate hit “in size”, you should understand the algorithm for taking measurements and constructing a pattern.

Arm yourself with a measuring tape, a notepad for notes, as well as a sheet of drawing paper on which you will build a pattern for a boy.

For a starting point, tie a ribbon or string around your baby's waist.

  • Chest girth - measured 10-12 centimeters below the armpit.
  • Waist: over the drawstring.
  • The length of the front shelf: from the top of the shoulder through the protruding point on the chest to the desired length.
  • Back length: from the seventh cervical vertebra of the desired length.
  • Shoulder length: from the base of the neck to the shoulder.
  • Sleeve length: slightly bending the child's arm, we measure from the shoulder, through the elbow to the wrist.
  • Upper arm circumference: around the widest part of the arm.
  • Neck circumference: at the base of the boy's neck.

The obtained measurements are transferred to paper, building three parts: front shelf, back, sleeve.

For the first knitted work, it is better to knit the sleeves with a rectangular cloth, based on calculations, in this case, and when knitting shelves, you won’t have to be particularly “wise” and knit an armhole, as a result, the sleeves in the work will turn out to be slightly deflated.

Important! In order to calculate how many loops you need, you need to knit an example. To do this, we take the selected yarn and knitting pattern, according to which we will knit. We collect a chain of air loops, about 10 centimeters long. Next, we begin to knit a pattern, and knit 10-15 centimeters.

We take a centimeter ruler and measure how many centimeters the drawing turned out from beginning to end, that is, until the next repetition (rapport).

We divide this figure by the number of rapports, add a couple of edge posts and here we get the desired result, it is this number of loops that you should dial when choosing a specific yarn and a specific pattern.

Stages of work

For beginner craftswomen, it is better to take the most simple patterns. Working according to the scheme is much easier than reading the description in text.

The most pleasant thing remains - the process of knitting parts. For the first work, the following pattern is perfect: st.sn., 4 ch., 2 st.sn., 4 ch., 1 st.sn., 4 ch., 2st.sn., 2 in. p., 2 st.sn., 4 v.p. Do the required number of repetitions.

Having knitted the fabric from the bottom to the required height, you need to knit the neck. To do this, we find the center of the product, and set aside a quarter of the measurement of the neck circumference from it, make a mark (you can stab a pin).

We start knitting a row, we reach the pin and turn the knitted fabric and knit in the opposite direction, focusing on the pattern.

In the next row, when you get to the pin, you need to make a decrease, how sharp it will be, depends on which neckline.

Crochet is notable for its maneuverability, and even if the neckline is too sharp, you can tie it in several rows and make it more rounded. We act similarly with the second side.

Attention! When crocheting a sweater, it is better to knit the elastic on the cuffs and on the bottom of the product with knitting needles, so it will be more plastic and will not stretch.

After all the details are ready, you need to rinse them in cool water, dry them in a horizontal position on a large towel and you can collect the sweater. We fold the details according to the scheme: in front with a back, sleeves in half, we tie them along the edges with single crochets.

Important! Sweater details can be sewn with a large needle and strong thread, so the seam will be less rough.

Then we sew the sleeves to the armholes, that is, starting from the top of the knitted fabrics: back and front shelves. We hem the elastic to the cuffs and along the bottom of the product and you can try on a little fashionista!

I really liked this blouse for a 4 year old boy. She knits with a crochet. Nothing more, as they say. Although, there can be nothing superfluous in knitting for children. Every detail is very nice. But this is for us parents. But when a child plays, then all these little things, as a rule, can come off. Especially if it's a smart kid. In a word, the model is practical and convenient.
