From this moment we begin to knit in rotary rows.

Our pattern consists of braids for 12 loops and between braids 6 loops (2 facial loops, 2 purl, 2 facial).

We have 120 loops on the knitting needles. 24 loops need to be set aside on the chin, 96 loops remain, and in order to get a pattern, there should be 108 loops (6 braids of 12 loops = 72 loops, plus 5 gaps of 6 loops = 30 loops, plus 2 purl and 1 edge on each side = 6 loops, total 108 loops), i.e. we need to get 12 loops.

These 12 loops will be added in the first row. Since we turned the knitting, the first row will be purl. I consider it an auxiliary row and do not take it into account in further calculations.

So 1 row: 1 edge, 2 facial, 3 purl, 1 loop add, 4 purl, 1 loop add, 3 purl, 2 facial, 2 purl, 2 facial, 3 purl, 1 loop add, 4 purl, 1 loop add, 3 purl, 2 facial, 2 purl, 2 facial, 3 purl, 1 loop add, 4 purl, 1 loop add, 3 purl, 2 facial, 2 purl, 2 facial, 3 purl, 1 loop add, 4 purl, 1 loop add, 3 purl, 2 facial, 2 purl, 2 facial, 3 purl, 1 loop add, 4 purl, 1 loop add, 3 purl, 2 facial, 2 purl, 2 facial, 3 purl, 1 loop add, 4 purl, Add 1 loop, purl 3, knit 2, hem 1.

We turn knitting to the front side and knit according to the scheme

Crossing the braid is done like this:
Cross 6 loops to the right (remove 3 loops on the auxiliary knitting needle and leave FOR work, knit 3 loops from the main knitting needle, then knit 3 loops from the auxiliary knitting needle); Cross 6 loops to the left (remove 3 loops on the auxiliary knitting needle and leave BEFORE work, knit 3 loops from the main knitting needle, then knit 3 loops from the auxiliary knitting needle)

After about 12 cm (we count together with the elastic), we begin to form the back of the head. We divide the knitting into three parts and knit according to the principle of the heel of the sock. To get a pigtail at the junction of the middle and side parts, front side We knit 2 loops together with the front one behind the back wall, and on the wrong side we knit 2 loops together with the wrong side. After turning the knitting, we remove the first loop without knitting.
And one more small nuance. When knitting the back of the head, you usually knit together one loop of the middle part, one loop of the side. I also knitted, but 12 loops of the braid that came up on the side, I knitted 2 loops together. That is, one loop of the middle part and 2 loops of the braid.

If the braid is knitted in one loop, it turns out to be a very loose shape.

After we finished knitting the back of the head, 36 loops remained on the needles. Let's move on to circular needles.
We will knit a shirt-front with an elastic band 2x2. In order for the elastic pattern not to go astray, we decrease 4 loops, 2 loops in each braid.
We collect 18 loops on each side of the hem, we include in knitting the loops set aside on the chin and again we close the knitting in a circle. In total, we should get 92 loops on the knitting needles.

We knit 10 rows with an elastic band 2x2 straight, then we mark the ragged lines (there should be 4 of them) and in every second circular row on both sides of the ragged lines we add 1 loop, including them in the elastic pattern.

Thus, we knit a shirt-front to the required length. We close the loops according to the drawing.
We knit a lace, insert it into a double elastic band, simply spreading the loops of the elastic band, we make and sew on pompoms.
