Envelope knitted for a newborn scheme. Winter knitted envelope for newborns. The principle of knitting and assembling an envelope

Size - from 0 to 3 months.
You will need 450 grams of yarn with a thread thickness of 150 meters per 100 grams. . knitting needles No. 3 or No. 4
Description: Cast on 61 stitches or 36 cm on the needles and knit with a VOLUME RIBBON pattern 8 rows or 3-4 cm.
Close the back of the hood along the middle 3 patterns.
Pick up loops along the bottom of the hood and knit an elastic band 1x1 3-4 cm.
Calculate the raglan line as shown in the video and knit making increases along the raglan lines in each front row, two raglan loops. Knit to armhole line 12 cm or 7 patterns.
Sleeves: we start knitting on the front side - knit the first 10 loops to the first raglan line and remove them on an additional knitting needle. Then knit only the sleeve, decreasing 1 loop on each side after 4-6 rows. We knit to the desired length - I have 9 patterns from the armhole or 15-16 cm. Finish the sleeve with an elastic band. Similarly we knit the second sleeve.
The lower part of the envelope: we collect all the loops on one knitting needle and knit the bottom of the envelope for a length equal to the height of the child. Yours may be a different size. But I have 52 cm or 24 patterns.
Then we move on to knitting the front part - close 7 loops on both sides at once and then knit to the armhole. Leave 5 strap loops around the edges. On the slats, it will be necessary to make buttonholes on both sides through 16 rows.
As soon as we reach the armhole, we begin to knit decreasing loops in each front row, 1 loop on both sides and knit to the elastic line along the neck.
Finish knitting with an elastic band.

The birth of a child is a great event not only for young parents, but also for all their friends and acquaintances. If young mom and dad are busy only with their baby, then relatives need to choose a gift for the first acquaintance with the baby.

In your search, you should opt for something simple and functional. A knitted envelope is perfect for a gift. The scheme can be absolutely any, the main thing is that it be warm and soft, pleasant to the delicate skin of the child.

purple envelope

In order to properly tie such a warm accessory, a newborn envelope must be drawn up. For calculations, you need to know the height of the baby or make a calculation with a margin. If the envelope is a little larger, it's not scary at all. In such an envelope, it will be possible to pry off a warm jumpsuit or suit for the baby.

Length calculation

Most babies are born with a height of 52-56 cm. Assuming that the height is 56 cm, you need to add half the height to this parameter. Total: 56 + 56 + (56/2) = 140 cm. This is done so that the envelope covers the back of the child well. Now the height of the hood is calculated. For this, the full length of the child's body is taken, which is 56 cm. The total length of the envelope blank: 140 + 56 = 196 cm. Let the initially large figure not scare the needlewomen. Folded in half due to the seams and fit of the figure, the envelope will fit the child.

Circuit Description

The pattern of knitting an envelope is simple and understandable even for novice craftswomen.

Knitting an envelope starts from the bottom. The first 3 cm of the fabric are knitted in garter stitch: a row of front loops in the wrong side - again a row of front ones. So - until the required height is reached.

When 3 cm is worked, work as follows: 10 garter sts, then 1 x 1 English Rib (knit/purl, repeat to end of row). The last 10 loops, not counting the hem, are also knitted in a garter stitch.

In the purl row, knitting goes as the loops look. Where there was, knitting continues with a garter stitch.

5 cm of fabric are knitted in this pattern. Then 3 cm is knitted with a garter. Then the pattern is repeated: 10 garter loops, 10 garter loops, edging.

So they knit until the length of the envelope reaches 137 cm. The last 3 cm are knitted with a garter stitch.

Now they start knitting the hood into an envelope. The pattern can be continued from the main fabric, or you can make it simple and easy - knit the entire length with a garter stitch.

It is desirable to tie the last 3 cm with an elastic band 1 x 1 (front / back). Then the envelope will cover your head well.

Product assembly

The considered scheme of a knitted envelope for a newborn does not involve assembling a large number of parts. The resulting fabric is turned inside out and with a knitted seam (the needle is inserted into each loop of the edge, without gaps), first the right and then the left halves of the envelope are sewn together to a height of 130 cm. A small area remains, which is located between the hood and the pocket of the envelope. This part is necessary so that the hood "sits" well on the baby's head and can cover him even in a warm hat. To form the hood, the upper part of the canvas must be folded. To do this, the right and left corners are lowered down, forming a triangle. The sides are sewn with the same knitted seam.

The resulting bag is turned inside out. For decoration, large multi-colored buttons are sewn on the sides. It is desirable that they be bright. You can choose any material - plastic or wood, leather or knitted buttons. Using circular knitting needles of large length, the edge can be tied with a 1 x 1 elastic band. For this, the hem edge is used as a type-setting, the knitting needle is inserted into the gap between the loops of the closed row and displayed on the front side, as in normal knitting. It is recommended to tie the edge only when it does not interfere with the pattern. If the pattern used is voluminous and focuses attention on itself, then it is better not to do the strapping.

Envelope "spikelets"

An envelope turns out to be interesting, the knitting pattern consists of a spikelet pattern. Outwardly, the pattern is very reminiscent of pigtails or spikelets of wheat. The pattern is voluminous, dense, great for a warm envelope for the cold season.

Pattern Description

Rapport is 22 x 40 (22 loops for 40 rows). The elements are repeated in a checkerboard pattern. The pattern is complex only visually, in practice it is easy to tie an envelope, the scheme of which is explained in detail.

The diagram shows only the front rows. All purl rows are knitted according to the pattern. The loops that are marked with black dots are always purl, both in the front and in the wrong row.

Braids are formed by crossed loops.

The calculation of the loops should take into account that one block of the pattern is equal to 22 loops + 2 edge loops.

1 (this is how the 7th, 13th and 19th rows fit): * 2 out. loops, 2 persons. loops, 3 out. loops, intercept from four persons. tilted to the right, intercept from four persons. with a slope to the left, 3 out. loops, 2 persons. loops, 2 out. loops *. Repeat until the end of the row.

2, as well as all even: * 4 out. loops, 3 persons. loops, 8 purl loops, 3 persons. loops, 4 out. loops *. Repeat until the end.

3 (so fit 5 and 9, 11 and 15, 17 rows): * 2 out. loops, 2 persons. loops, 3 out. loops, 8 persons. loops, 3 out. loops, 2 persons. loops, 2 out. loops*. Repeat until the end.

21 (this is how the 27th, 33rd and 39th rows are knitted): * intercept from four persons. with a slope to the left, 3 out. loops, 2 persons. loops, 4 out. loops, 2 persons. loops, 3 out. loops, intercept from four persons. tilted to the right *. Repeat until the end of the row.

23 (this is how 25 and 29, 31, 35 and 37 rows fit): * 4 persons. loops, 3 out. loops, 2 persons. loops, 4 out. loops, 2 persons. loops, 3 out. loops, 4 persons. loops.

Conventions

 • an empty square - the loops are knitted according to the pattern (front in the front, purl - in the purl);
 • an empty square with an empty exact inside - knit in the opposite way to how the loops look (wrong side in the front row, front row - in the wrong side);
 • an empty square with a full (black) exact inside - the loop is always knitted on the wrong side;
 • the arrow through 4 squares shows from left to right - to intercept from 4 facial ones with an inclination to the right with an inclination to the right. 1 and 2 loops are removed at the same time on an additional knitting needle, leaving it to work. First, 3 and 4 loops are knitted, only then loops from an additional knitting needle;
 • the arrow through 4 squares shows from right to left - they intercept from 4 facial ones with an inclination to the left. 1 and 2 loops are removed before work, 3 and 4 are knitted, then - loops from an additional knitting needle.

Envelope Assembly

The envelope is sewn on the sides, then, as in the variant above, the hood is sewn. The envelope turns out. To decorate the envelope, you can tie a tassel and sew it to the hood.

Envelope insulation

To make a warm envelope with knitting needles, patterns are used only for knitting the outer part of the envelope. For interior decoration, it is better to use a simple or garter stitch. You can also sew a warm fleece lining. To do this, a rectangle is cut out of the fleece in the same dimensions as the envelope itself was knitted. The lining is sewn, turned inside out and hand-sewn to the knitted shell.

Envelope for beginners

To knit the simplest envelope without a hood, you will need soft wool blend yarn, circular knitting needles, and a piece of fleece.

First, a pattern is made. A fleece lining is cut out according to the pattern.

With an English elastic band 1 x 1 (1 front loop alternates with 1 purl), the entire fabric is knitted.

In order to know the length and width of the canvas, you need to know the height of the child and the circumference of the head. 20 cm is added to these parameters. In total, a long envelope is knitted, the pattern of which does not require special knitting skills.

You can also use garter stitch for knitting. In this case, all rows are knitted with one purl loops. Assembly is carried out in a standard way - if there is a hood, then it is formed from the upper corner, if there is no hood, then the side parts are sewn together and a small lining remains under the child's head.

The finished fabric is sewn together with the lining. To do this, the lining is first stitched to the knitted cover, then it is sewn from the wrong side using a sewing machine. The envelope is turned inside out and trimmed with lace or braid. The band is measured according to the length of the perimeter of the envelope + the front bar. You can sew by hand, or you can tie a crochet.

When knitting an envelope for newborns, it is necessary to get acquainted with the description and diagrams at the very first stages. An important point in the work is the right choice of yarn. The skin of a small child is very delicate, so it is necessary to choose those threads that do not cause allergies, will not prick and fluff. A thread with angora or a high content of wool is also poorly suited for knitting an envelope for a child - fluffy villi will interfere with the child.

Yarn: for the main part “Svetlana” 250 m / 100 g; for lining “Olga” 392 m / 100 g. Wool 50%, acrylic 50%. production "Semenovskaya Yarn".
Yarn consumption: “Svetlana” - 350 g, “Olga” - 100 g.
Tools: knitting needles No. 3 (for the main part), knitting needles No. 2.5 (for lining), hook No. 2.5, sewing needle.
Knitting density: for the main part Pg = 3.16 loops in 1cm; for lining Pg = 3.1 cm.

A beautiful knitted envelope is a great gift for a newborn. Knit an envelope from soft baby yarn and the baby will be warm and cozy. The envelope is compact, fits well in a stroller.

The finished envelope is a rectangle measuring 125 x 40 cm. One of the short sides is sewn together and forms a hood. The hood is 25 cm, the rest, which is folded in half, is 100 cm. Depending on the pattern repeat, the size of the envelope can be slightly larger or smaller.

Loop calculation

First we need to determine the size of the main canvas in width. Along the edge of the envelope there is a finishing strip connected. The width of the bar is 4 cm. So you need to knit the main fabric with a width of 40 - (4 x 2) = 32 cm. Now we determine the density of knitting horizontally (see). We got 3.16 loops in 1 cm, so you need to dial 3.16 x 32 = 101 loops. But we need the pattern on the envelope to fit nicely. Therefore, it is necessary to make an adjustment taking into account the rapport and symmetry of the pattern. The repeat pattern we chose for the envelope is 22 stitches. It turned out that we need to dial the number of loops equal to 4 full rapports (22 x 4 = 88), plus 8 loops for the symmetry of the pattern (4 loops each at the beginning and end of knitting), plus two edge loops, total 98 loops.

The figure below is a knitting pattern. Edge loops are not specified.

In order to make it more convenient to knit the bar in the future,.

Sequence of work

You can start knitting from the bottom of the envelope (perhaps this method will be easier for you). First, tie a 4 cm bar with an elastic band and then knit with the main pattern for approximately 120 cm - the length of the envelope minus the width of the bar. Then sew the seam of the hood. Pay attention at the same time that the pattern closes beautifully along the connection line. It is better not to close the loops and connect them. If you decide to close the loops - use .

I knitted the envelope in a different way, from the top (from the hood) down. I used it, which allows you to knit in both directions at once and you no longer need to sew the part. The loops with this method are cast on two knitting needles at once and we need to dial 49 loops on each knitting needle (98: 2 = 49). After the set, we start knitting from the 15th row and further according to the scheme. Having connected the fabric of the desired length, we knit another 4 cm with an elastic band and. You can close the loops in the classic way, knitting the loops according to the pattern, or you can use a kettle seam.

Knitting from the top, from the hood

plank

As you can see, knitting the main part of the envelope is easy. And now we turn to, perhaps, the most difficult part of the work - knitting the bar. To do this, we need knitting needles on a fishing line. The longer the line, the better. The difficulty in knitting the slats is to correctly calculate the number of loops that need to be raised for the slat from the main part. Raise too little - the edge will turn out to be tight, and too much - wavy. In order not to be mistaken, it is necessary to tie the sample with an elastic band and count. It turned out that the knitting density is 3.1 loops per cm. This means that in the area of the main part, equal to 10 cm, we need to raise 31 loops for the bar. In this case, the loops are distributed as evenly as possible.

Having connected half the width of the bar (2 cm), we mark the location of the loops for the fastener with markers. Loops can be knitted in different ways. One of the neatest, in which the loops do not stretch, is presented below.

Loops marked with markers

We first knit the loops for the hole with an auxiliary thread, then return these loops to the left knitting needle and knit again with the main thread. Next, we knit the bar to the end.

We knit a loop with an auxiliary thread.

We remove the auxiliary thread and transfer the loops to two knitting needles.

Transfer stitches to knitting needles

Crochet open loops with half-columns. We tie the free ends of the threads and hide.

Crochet open loops with single crochets

tassel

You can decorate the hood with a brush. Tassel dimensions: round part 2.5 cm, tassel itself 6 cm. Twisted cord in 4 additions, 10 cm long. We attach the tassel to the hood until it is connected to the lining. See master classes: "" and "". You can also use a chain of crocheted air loops as a cord.

Lining

The lining can be made from soft cotton fabric, or can be knitted. We knitted a lining with yarn of the same color as the envelope, but thinner. The lining is shorter than the envelope - it is located only on the hood and mattress. Envelope blanket without lining. We knit the lining in the same way as the envelope from the hood down, we finish knitting with an elastic band, 4 cm wide. Before connecting to the main part

An envelope for a newborn with your own hands is a very simple and very pleasant job. There are several options for making envelopes, the most common are fastened baby envelope and a baby blanket in which the baby is wrapped. Today we will consider both of these options: a do-it-yourself knitted envelope and a blanket with a detailed description and photo.

Step by step knitting an envelope with buttons

Such a knitted children's envelope is perfect for a newborn in the winter. The braid pattern is easy to knit, and the buttons make it easy and quick to hide the baby. The dimensions of the envelope are 125 cm x 40 cm with a hood, without it - 100 cm.
To tie an envelope, you will need the following materials and tools:

 • the yarn is half wool, half acrylic for the upper part and a little thinner for the lining;
 • knitting needles No. 3 and 2.5;
 • knitting needles with fishing line No. 3;
 • hook number 2.5;
 • buttons - 10 pcs;
 • needle.

The knitted envelope will consist of two parts: the top part and the lining. Let's start with the top part.

Then we proceed to edging the main part with a plank.

The corner of the hood can be decorated with a brush.

Now the upper part of the winter overalls is ready and it is necessary to tie the lining. For the lining, you will need a slightly thinner yarn of the same color. Its dimensions are smaller and are determined by measuring from the top of the hood without taking into account the strap and to the place of the fold at the bottom of the envelope. Width is measured only by the width of the pattern, excluding edging.

 1. An elastic band is knitted at the bottom, as well as on the upper part, 4 cm.
 2. Then comes the usual knitting: front surface or garter stitch. The set number of loops is determined by the density of knitting and the selected knitting method.
 3. According to the measured distance, a lining is made, its top is sewn by analogy into a hood.

The finished product is moistened, dried and sewn to the main product with a needle and thread.

It remains only to sew on the buttons and the knitted winter envelope for the newborn is ready.

Here is such a winter envelope for a newborn.

Knitting a warm winter blanket for kids

An excellent alternative to a baby blanket and a wonderful element of baby bedding will be a soft warm blanket for a newborn made of squares. A plaid is knitted with knitting needles and crocheted, or rather, the main elements are knitted with knitting needles, and they are connected to each other and crocheted.
For work you will need:

 • yarn "pompom";
 • thin threads for tying;
 • knitting needles number 4;
 • hook number 2.5;
 • ribbon for decoration - 4 meters.

The dimensions of the square blanket will be 75 cm x 75 cm. We begin to knit the first element.

The result is such a blanket for a newborn.
To complete the image, you need to knit the edging of the entire blanket.

The result is such a creation - a plaid with knitting needles and a crochet.
Such a do-it-yourself blanket is suitable for discharge from the hospital, for baptism, and just as bed linen for newborns.
