From a new book. Flamingo in earflaps Kolya is going to his school

The academic year has begun. Already bought notebooks, pencil cases, knapsacks and, of course, uniforms. But it is with the form that parents most often have questions: is it possible to buy a pink blouse for my daughter? Would a purple skirt be considered business attire? And can a first grader do without an uncomfortable jacket? When I gathered my third-grader daughter to school and shared my experience with readers, a heated discussion began on the site. Some argued that the business style is a black jacket and trousers, the second advocated that the child's clothes should be more democratic, bright and stylish (read more "To get the child to school, I spent two million!") So can it go a child to class in a white suit and a purple blouse? This is what we tried to find out from the head of the department of general secondary education, Yuri Gladkov. To begin with, we discussed the form that I chose for my daughter.

Option number 1.

Yuri Gladkov's comment:

This pink sweater is more appropriate for participation in general events, it can also be worn on the street, in an after-hours group, but this is not a business style. You look at how children are dressed in European schools - there is nothing like that, everything is very strict and restrained.

Some teachers go to work in light green suits. Then why is a pink blouse considered a walking option?

The design of clothes is important, how it looks. The style of this blouse does not allow us to say that it can be attributed to business.

Option number 2.

Yuri Gladkov's comment:

This is a festive option, but not a business one. In this suit, you can come on September 1, but do not sit in it at the lessons. Moreover, the child will quickly get dirty. To be honest, in this outfit your daughter will look like a black sheep. And pay attention to the blouse: the girl has bare shoulders, and this is not combined with a business style. There is such a thing as a dress code.

Judging by the fact that the stores sell mostly black and gray suits, one gets the impression that the business style involves only dark colors.

The main thing is that the clothes should not be defiant. A child can come to school in both a green suit and a blue one. It is important that the mother who collects it has a taste. There is enough choice in our stores, and it is impossible to imagine that parents find it difficult to find business clothes for a schoolchild.

Option number 3.

Yuri Gladkov's comment:

Yes, you can go to school that way.

Option number 4.

Yuri Gladkov's comment:

This suit is quite suitable for school, but it is better to replace the cape with a jacket or vest.

“If you don’t like the clothes, offer the factories your own version!”

So what is business style? After all, each parent is different. Some people think that a red sundress and pink tights are the perfect clothes for a child, while others buy only black dresses.

On the Bellegprom website, parents can see the collections produced by our manufacturers. Their show is organized annually, where both adults and schoolchildren come.

But many models are outdated. And sundresses, as they sewed 10 years ago, are sewn.

It only seems to you that sundresses are bad, while others do not think so. Have you done statistical research?

- I am not an official to see them off, but a mother who has her own opinion.

We have more than ten factories that sew clothes for schoolchildren. We believe that you can choose something. If you are not satisfied with the current models, then develop your own, offer them to Bellegprom. Perhaps they will like it, and they will start releasing other sundresses. In this regard, we are very democratic and do not impose our opinion on anyone. You only offer!

- So I have already dressed the child to my taste and it seems to me that it is beautiful.

To be honest, it's not pretty.

Parents of first-graders often wonder why a 6-year-old kid has to walk all day in an uncomfortable jacket and shirt. After all, at a break he wants to jump and run. Why don't adults adapt to children and develop more comfortable clothes?

I don’t like jackets - you can put on a vest, and replace the shirt with golf. No one is forcing you to wear only suits.

But readers on our site complain that in practice it looks different. A child in golfiki came to school - and he was immediately sent home to change clothes.

This is wrong, in the provision that is on the website of the Ministry of Education, it is indicated that knee-highs and vests also belong to the business style. By the way, when I was at school, there was a compulsory school uniform: girls wore brown dresses and white (black) aprons, and boys wore suits. It was a very nice shape.

RESPONSE ON THE SITE

“Which of us is more businesslike: mom-boss or a child?”

Ellie:

And in our gymnasium, not just a "dark" suit is allowed, but ONLY black. Well, what to do? The clothes in which I, for example, as the head of the department, can go to work, are recognized as business style. And my child in similar things cannot come to school. So which of us is more "businesslike"? I persuade my daughter to put on something "out of costume", and she cries that the director will swear. In this "business style", of course, the deep meaning of education is hidden.

Natalia:

In general, business style, it seems to me, was invented by people of retirement age. After all, it is very important for a child to at least move during breaks. And how to do it in woolen jackets? Or even worse - in synthetics? This is very bad for children's health. But not all parents can afford high-quality costumes for children. Many save and buy synthetics, I have seen this more than once. Last year, with great difficulty, I found trousers and a jacket for my son, 80 percent of stores hang synthetics. And after all, they buy it ... Who should control it?

Strict teacher:

There is no business style in any of the photos!

Mommy:

Katerina, I really liked how you dressed the child for school. It is very stylish and beautiful. And for those who cannot imagine that this is business style, you need to watch "Fashion Sentence", they constantly say that business style is not black and gray things! I remember my childhood, when we didn’t have much money and they couldn’t dress me beautifully - I wore everything after my sisters ... Now I will dress my daughter beautifully so that she feels confident, no worse than others. Of course, not everyone can spend so much money, this is a completely different question. But I will dress my child according to the same principle as the author of the article.

Marina:

I have two schoolgirls. At the eldest school, only dark plain clothes are allowed. The stripe on the golf course creates problems for the child. I myself, after four years of her studies, black became hated. The youngest in the first grade also constantly received comments about the non-business style of dress, even at the meeting I got a little hit, although the child was wearing gray trousers and a white blouse.

Dear, why is there so much noise about gray and black suits? We, when we walked in a brown synthetic school uniform with black aprons, no one thought to be indignant - well, we go and we go, and now there are so many discussions that my mother is ... A school uniform is put, which means it’s put, I, for example, for , and also let them introduce, as before, the same for everyone - and there would be no discussion.

After the summer holidays, the children have been at their desks for a long time, and I remembered that I had started writing a note earlier on how to prepare for school. I always liked the time on the eve of a wonderful holiday, when all the children go to school after their summer holidays. And as many mothers think about how to choose clothes for their children. Since my children's school does not even have a school uniform rule, but a certain dress code, all students from the first to the eleventh grade adhere to it.

Why did I remember this note? Today I was talking with a friend and we discussed outerwear for our schoolchildren. She sent me this link, there is a cashmere coat that she bought for the fall for her twin girls, and now she is looking for something for the winter, the cold is coming very soon. And we could not help but touch the school clothes. We discussed the importance and needs, and after the conversation, I remembered this note. I thought that if I do not publish it now, then it will simply be lost among other notes. And the topic is relevant - how to properly dress a schoolchild so that his outfit not only meets the school rules, but also likes the child himself? This is what we'll talk about today.

What to wear for a girl

1. School uniform

The school costume of a young lady must comply not only with the rules of the dress code, but also with the canons of femininity. Clothing should be sewn from high-quality fabric, ideally fit the girl in size and style, taking into account all the features of the figure. An excess of guipure, lace, velvet and satin, variegated colors are inappropriate in a school uniform.

A strict school suit can be transformed by choosing an unusual blouse, bolero or tie, matching the color and texture of the fabric.

2. School sundress

A school sundress, like a school uniform, can look interesting and fashionable. To do this, you can experiment with golfs and blouses, which can be decorated with stripes of lace, bows, rivets or zippers.

In addition, the image can be supplemented with a tie, knitted cardigan or sweater in the cold season.

In addition to school sundresses and suits, a girl can also dilute her wardrobe with a couple of beautiful dresses. For a school dress code, dresses in black, gray, dark green, burgundy or purple are suitable. Dresses in a cage, small polka dots or vertical stripes look no less interesting. They look quite strict, but at the same time, such a pattern is always in fashion.

4. Girls' accessories

Every schoolgirl should have a lot of jewelry and accessories in stock: bows, detachable collars, ties, elastic bands, hairpins, etc. Such elements will help to diversify even the most unattractive school uniform.

An integral element of any image are tights or stockings. Golfs look beautiful on schoolgirls right up to graduation. In high school, they can be combined with a pleated skirt, as Japanese schoolgirls do.

Another important detail of the image of a schoolgirl is a hairstyle. Hairstyles of primary school students should be easy to perform and not take up much time in the morning when the girl is going to school. The most successful hairstyles for primary school girls: high ponytail, fishtail braid, French braid.

What to wear for a boy

1. Formal suit

The first thing that should be in the wardrobe of every student is a school uniform. It is not at all necessary to buy a suit consisting of five or six items. Enough trousers and a jacket of the same style and color, which can be combined with different shirts, vests, ties, etc.

2. Shirts

At least five pieces of different colors for different seasons, with short and long sleeves. They should be combined with any variation of a formal suit and ties, if the boy wears them.

A tie of almost any color will suit a white or gray shirt: from classic black to dark green or burgundy. No less popular shirts are blue, brown and dark green. In the last academic year, checkered shirts have gained particular popularity: black and white, black and red, blue or green.

3. Half-sleeves, cardigans and vests

These wardrobe items are especially good in winter: they are warm, soft, comfortable and fit both the school dress code and modern fashion. In addition, they can be combined with classic trousers and dark jeans. Both options will look fashionable and grown-up.

4. Accessories

No less important detail of a student's wardrobe are accessories and a school bag / briefcase.

For a boy, “adult” watches, the presence of several bow ties, warm scarves in winter, gloves and belts will be wonderful accessories. These "little things" do not distract the attention of other children in the classroom, but create a unique fashionable image.

How to diversify a student's outfit

Interesting color combinations: dark blue and beige, dark green and red, purple, striped gray. There are a lot of colors that match the dress code, so feel free to experiment.

A variety of fabrics, consisting of: viscose, wool, cotton nitron, lavsan, polyester.

Interesting patterns and colors: cage, small polka dots, stripes, "speckled" colors. Of course, it is not worth using clothes with flowers, stars and bright patterns in the basic wardrobe of a student, which will distract the kids from the educational process. But patterns of muted colors will not only help make the student's outfit more interesting, but will also not contradict the established dress code.

Do not forget the main rule: clothes should be not only comfortable and strict, but also fashionable. And with our simple tips, choosing an outfit for a schoolboy will not be difficult for you.

And so - with the addition, dad - a skyscraper.

Children can sail the sea as captains,

To treat colds with doctor's drops,

Manage obedient tower cranes -

Childhood begins with grandfather's gate,

From the Christmas tree, from the very first words.

Chorus: I like to look out the window in the evenings,

Even if it's already dark, I believe:

A new day will begin!

The sun will wake up, mom will smile,

A new day will begin!

In childhood, the light of a distant star seems close,

Near the windows of a flock of clouds.

From the threshold why the roads run into the distance

And big rivers are the children of springs.

Chorus.

37 student. We read, we wrote, we counted.

Running, jumping, drawing,

And I like being in the garden.

You can play ball
Shout with friends together
Sleep and walk.
You can sing whenever you want
And tease the girls
I don't want to go to school
I will go to kindergarten!

I'll tell you a secret:
I don't want to go to first grade
I don't want to learn lessons
I want to play all day!

Chorus.

You can sing whenever you want
And tease the girls
I don't want to go to school
I will go to kindergarten

Chapter 1

In Kolya's house there was a fluffy New Year tree, which was decorated with wooden toys, gingerbread and nuts wrapped in gold foil. A silver star glittered at the top of the tree.

Kolya's naughty curls the color of forest honey pressed a red cap, Kolya himself, together with his mother and grandfather, sat at the festive table. The clock was about to strike 12. Kolya loved the New Year more than his birthday, because on his birthday gifts were given only to him, and he was truly happy alone, and on New Year's Eve he also gave gifts to everyone, so everyone was happy .

Without waiting for the night, Kolya presented gifts to his parents and grandfather on the morning of December 31, and now he was eager to receive his own.
- Santa Claus is about to come, but dad is still gone ... - said Kolya.
- Does Santa Claus know what to give you? - asked the grandfather.
- Certainly! I sent him 7 emails: 2 in the summer, 2 in the fall, and 3 more just before the new year.

In the letters, Kolya asked Santa Claus to give him a costume of a famous superhero, a magic wand from a book about sorcerers, a prefabricated model of a starship traveling between galaxies, and a ring of omnipotence from a story about hobbits.
All this was to become exhibits of his Museum of Miracles, for which Kolya had already designed the corner of his room. Kolya considered all super-heroes and wizards, star warriors and knights to be his friends. But Santa Claus was Kolya's best friend.

Heavy footsteps were heard in the corridor. Kolya took a breath. Grandfather Frost squeezed through the doorway, tall, in a red caftan and with a long gray beard. He brushed the snow off his shoulders and threw a large bag on the floor, groaned, and then told the story of his long journey on a reindeer team from the North Pole, and finally reached into the bag for gifts for Kolya. Mom and grandfather laughed and clapped, but Kolya's face remained gloomy. When Santa Claus gave Kolya the last gift, mother asked her son:
- Kolya, what should I say to Grandfather Frost?
- Santa Claus, why do you have the same glasses as my dad? Kolya asked.

There was silence.
- And why do you have his shoes? And the clock? And the same voice...

Kolya suddenly guessed everything.
- Dad, take off your suit and sit down at the table, you want to eat.

Chapter 2

The next day, Kolya sat in his room and leafed through a comic book with a bored look.
- There are no superheroes. Surely these are just someone's fathers in disguise ...

He put the comic in the corner, where his New Year's gifts were piled up. He no longer wanted to open the Miracle Museum.

Mom looked to Kolya:
- Would you like to come with us?

Kolya shook his head and his mother left him alone. That evening, the whole town gathered in the main square to watch what happens only once every 10 years: a rocket takes off from the spaceport nearby, and before it disappears into the sky, you can get a good look at its shiny body.

Kolya's school friends, with whom he had been waiting for this event for a year, did not let up:
- It's a real miracle! The rocket will fly to other galaxies, astronauts will see aliens and meet star warriors!

But after Kolya found out that Santa Claus was his father, he stopped believing in miracles:
- This is not a miracle - just science, - said Kolya, - and there are no star warriors - these are actors in costumes that you are like little ones ...

Everyone left, and Kolya was left alone. He took a saucer, poured cherry and apricot jam into it, and sat down with refreshments by the window. The sunset slowly spread across the sky, as if on a plate: pink foam clouds rolled on the transparent amber horizon. A low hum was heard. It was a rocket. But Kolya could not see her from the window.

It’s a miracle for me too ... A rocket is like an airplane, only without wings and with a very powerful engine ... - Kolya said and spat out a cherry stone out the window. And at that moment, something equally pink flew out of the pink cloud, rushed to the ground at high speed and flopped into a snowdrift that looked like a big pillow.

Kolya jumped into his boots and ran out into the street. In the snow, curled up into a ball, sat a bird of extraordinary beauty. She seemed to have bathed in cherry jam, because from her beak to her tail she was pink. It was a flamingo. Kolya carefully took it and carried it home. In the corner of his room, where the Museum of Miracles was to open, he spread a blanket and planted a chilled bird there, and then covered it with a woolen sweater that his grandfather had knitted for him. The flamingo hid its beak under its wing and fell asleep.

“Wow,” Kolya thought, “flamingos are in our area. And how good it is that I didn’t go to look at this rocket!”

Chapter 3

The front door creaked. From the corridor came the excited voices of the parents discussing the flight of the rocket. She flew so low that someone from the crowd saw the astronaut in the porthole, waving to them. But as soon as mom and dad went into Kolya's room and saw their guest, all impressions of the rocket were forgotten.

Dad praised Kolya for the nest he made out of blankets, and mom went to the kitchen to find food for the bird. But the flamingo refused everything that was offered to him.

Apparently, flamingos eat something else, - said dad.
- We need to urgently call the grandfather! Kolya decided.

Grandpa immediately said that flamingos are loved the most:
- Shrimps! Pink shrimp!

Kolya ran to the store and brought shrimp. As soon as the flamingo smelled the sea, his appetite woke up, and he began to click shrimps like seeds.

And grandfather and Kolya laid out a map of the world on the table and began to think about how this heat-loving bird ended up in their snowy lands.
- From here, - grandfather put his finger on northern Kazakhstan, - flocks of flamingos fly here for the winter, - he moved his finger and circled Africa and Spain.
- But because of the strong wind, this flamingo lost its way and ended up with us.

Kolya and grandfather looked at the flamingos. With a serious look, he continued to eat shrimp, folding their shells into a neat slide on a plate.
- How will you address him, - grandfather asked Kolya?

Kohl thought. Flamingo was a resident of the southern countries, which means ...
- Santiago. His name is Santiago.
- Beautiful name! I think when he hatched from the egg, mom and dad named him the same.

Chapter 4. Santiago Reads Books

Kolya spent all his free time with Santiago. He fed him from his hands, talked to him, and when Kolya read books aloud to him, Santiago cheered up and listened attentively. But soon something amazing happened. As soon as Kolya finished reading the fairy tale about the Golden Fish and said the name of the next one, Santiago opened his beak, took the book from Kolya and placed it in front of him. It was a fairy tale about the Firebird. Kolya decided that Santiago was looking at a colorful picture, but then he noticed that the flamingo's eyes were running along the lines. Then Santiago turned the page. Then another, and another, and so on until the very end of the book. There was no doubt that he was reading.

Yes, yes, in front of Kolya sat a flamingo who could read.

Santiago was still weak, and to pass the long hours in his blanket nest, he read books. First I read all the comics that were stacked in the corner. After reading the comics, he switched to books from Kolya's top shelf - adventure stories, encyclopedias and even school textbooks. Then it came to the parent library. Dad was surprised: Santiago read the most serious adult books, handling them very carefully.

What a scientist flamingo flew to us, - said dad.

Waking up one morning, Kolya noticed that Santiago was standing in the well-known flamingo position - on one leg. Kolya jumped out from under the covers and performed a dance of joy. After all, this meant that Santiago was on the mend. At school, Kolya barely made it to the last lesson. Hearing the bell, he jumped out of the classroom like a bullet and rushed home. He was impatient to walk with Santiago.

But at home, an empty room and an open window awaited him. Santiago is gone...

Chapter 5

Kolya looked out into the street and saw a pink silhouette gliding against the blue snow. Each flap of the wings was given to Santiago with great difficulty, he sank lower and lower, and, exhausted, landed on the playground of the neighboring yard.

Kolya once again saved him from the cold and brought him home. To prevent Santiago from catching a cold, Kolya gave him freshly boiled hot shrimp with honey. But on this day, he did not read books to him, as usual, and did not offer to play. He didn't approach Santiago at all. Kolya was offended by him. And only in the evening Kolya decided that it was time to put up.
- Well, why did you decide to fly away? Did we not feed you well? Or are the books in our library uninteresting? Stay and wait out the winter with us, and in the spring you will fly to Kazakhstan again.

Flamingo shook his head. Kolya knew that he understood everything. And Kolya also knew that although Santiago understood everything, he could not say anything. But Santiago knows the alphabet! Kolya put a board in front of him with magnetic letters and figurines of various animals.
- Tell me why you want to fly away now. Just make words out of letters...

Santiago looked at the board. Then he stretched out his long neck, took a magnet with his beak and placed it in the center of the board. But it was not a letter, as Kolya had hoped, but a figurine of a flamingo.
- Yes, it's you!

Santiago stretched out his neck again and placed a second exactly the same in front of the first figurine. And to this pair I added two more flamingos, only small ones.
- So you have a family there, - Kolya guessed everything, - why didn’t you tell me right away!

Now Kolya understood why Santiago was in such a hurry to fly away.
- I have a plan. You'll see, very soon we'll put you on the wing again.

And that same evening, Kolya wrote a training program for Santiago, which will strengthen his wings and prepare him for a long flight.

The next morning, Kolya raced across the field on skis, and Santiago flew alongside - so friends competed in speed. Santiago was wearing a hat with earflaps, which Kolya wore when he was very small, now it fit on the bird's head.
The ski run was long. Snow-covered fields with traces of hares rushed past, an ice-covered river that looked like a lurking snake, and an amusement park that fell asleep under the snow. In the middle of the way, Santiago pulled ahead, but then his wings got tired and Kolya came first to the finish line.

Then the friends had an agility exercise. They stood far away from each other, Kolya threw a flying saucer frisbee, and Santiago had to catch it with his beak. The saucer flew either to the right or to the left, and sometimes Kolya launched it high into the sky. And although Santiago spent most of his life on the beaches, he played this beach game for the first time. Often he could not catch a slippery plate, and then he had to fish it out of deep snowdrifts.

Santiago really liked the games, and in the air he performed a beautiful dance, and Kolya looked at him and sang songs that he composed on the go.

Chapter 6

Due to training and games with Santiago, Kolya had no time left for homework. And after a lesson in natural science, a figure of a flamingo was drawn in his diary with a red pen - a big deuce. Kolya was upset because the natural science teacher, Galochkin, was very strict, and in order to correct his grade, it was necessary to prepare a report on the topic of the surrounding nature. Santiago approached him and hugged him with his wing. Now he decided to help Kolya.

The lesson has come. Kolya went to the blackboard. Galochkin walked past him.

How will you surprise us, Kolya? To correct the grade, you need to get an A, - said Galochkin.

With a long pointer, he scratched his huge red ears. Kolya began to talk about what he had recently found out everything about - about flamingos. His classmates learned that flamingos create a family and live together all their lives, and in one flock there can be thousands and thousands of families. They spend time near salt lakes and rivers, where they feed on crustaceans and shrimps, and because the crustaceans are pink, flamingo feathers also turn pink when the bird is three years old. They have four toes on each foot, and in order to wash the salt off their feet, flamingos fly to bodies of fresh water. And in different seasons, flamingos live in Africa, Spain, the Caucasus and even Siberia.

Two to you, Kolya! Deuce! - Galochkin waved a pointer in front of the boy's face - there are no flamingos in Siberia!
- And you open the window - asked Kolya.
- Why is that?
- You wanted to be surprised.

Galochkin grumbled, but nevertheless went to the window. As soon as he moved the latch, a whirlwind of pink feathers and snowflakes burst into the classroom. It was Santiago. He flew up to Kolya and stood next to him.

The guys jumped up from their seats and ran to Santiago with a cheerful roar. They examined and stroked the amazing bird. Children from neighboring classes ran to the noise, and the headmaster came after them.
- This is Santiago, - Kolya said to the children, - let's feed him.

Kolya gave the guys a bag of shrimp, and they started hand-feeding Santiago. But this infuriated Galochkin. He ran up to Santiago and began to chase him away.
- Get out of here! There are no flamingos in Siberia! Rush, rumble!

But instead of flying away, Santiago bit Galochkin's big red ear because it looked exactly like a boiled shrimp.

Ay! - shouted Galochkin and grabbed his ear, - deuce to you, Kolya, deuce! Get out of here with your bird!

Galochkin spun in place, and Santiago continued to pinch his ears. The children laughed for a long time, but the principal laughed the loudest. And for such a wonderful lesson, he himself gave Kolya a five.

Chapter 7

After Santiago visited the school, the whole city knew about him. People began to come to Kolya to see and get acquainted with flamingos. Everyone brought some food or a book with them. Santiago was very glad that he had many friends, he met them in his corner, where Kolya was once going to open the Museum of Miracles.

One day, Galochkin and his old mother came to visit Kolya and Santiago. He stopped sulking at Santiago and brought him a bowl of the biggest shrimp. The flamingo and the teacher became friends. But before leaving, Galochkin whispered in his mother's ear - the same big and red:
- I'm sure that Kolya took it and painted an ordinary bird pink. Well, flamingos are not found in Siberia!

Now Kolya and Santiago went out for a walk and, together with the rest of the guys, went sledding down a long hill. Each time, Santiago, who was sitting behind everyone, opened his big pink wings, and it seemed as if the sled with the children was about to take off like a hang glider.

At night, friends had the same dream, as if Kolya had grown wings, and he and Santiago were flying over the seas, where electric stingrays glided in the waters and mysterious jellyfish flickered, over high mountains, where leopards polished rocks with wool, over tropical forests, where lianas stretched under the weight of gibbons, and over deserts in which monitor lizards count grains of sand.

Chapter 8

The next morning, Kolya woke up because Santiago pulled the covers off him. Skis were already waiting for Kolya in front of the bed. Santiago offered to race again.
- And let's call grandpa with us this time! Kolya said.

Grandpa didn't have to be persuaded. And within half an hour all three were on the track. Kolya raced at the speed of a reindeer, but this time Santiago was faster and came to the finish line even before his grandfather.

Santiago's wings became strong again. Friends returned home tired and satisfied. In the evening, when Colin's dad sat with a mug of bitter coffee and watched the news on TV, Santiago settled himself on the sofa next to him. He was interested in the weather forecast. The winds and snowfalls in Siberia were over, calm clear days lay ahead.

Santiago returned to his corner and stood on one leg. Kolya understood everything - his friend is going on the road again. Kolya was glad, because soon Santiago would meet his family. But along with this, Kolya became sad, because he did not want to part with his friend at all.

Kolya took a sheet of paper, brushes, paints and drew himself along with Santiago.
- This is our common portrait, - said Kolya and showed a picture of Santiago.

Santiago dipped his paw into pink paint and left his imprint on the sheet.
“Now we both had a hand in this drawing,” Kolya was delighted.

Kolya hung the drawing on the wall next to the blanket nest. And then he began to collect a travel backpack for Santiago.

This is so that you do not get hungry, - and Kolya put shrimp in his backpack.
- This is - so as not to get lost, - Kolya put a map of the world in his backpack.
- And this is to write emails to me, - Kolya put a piece of paper with his email address in his backpack pocket.

Santiago looked at Kolya with surprise.

Yes, I know, I know that flamingos can't write and send emails. But when you stop by someone along the way, ask them to send me a letter from you.

Kolya put a cap with earflaps on Santiago's head, and then wrapped his long pink flamingo neck around Kolya's neck. Friends stood for a long time, embracing.

And then Santiago flew away. In the evening of this day, the sunset sky was again painted in amber and pink colors, as on the day when Santiago fell into a snowdrift. Kolya mixed peach and cherry jam and ate it until nightfall, sitting by the window.

Chapter 9

Several days passed before he received word from Santiago. There were boxes in the room where Kolya put comics, toys and other things that he once intended to exhibit in his Museum of Wonders.
And then an email came to him. It was from a boy in Uzbekistan that Santiago stopped by on the way. The letter contained photographs of a flamingo against the backdrop of the same pink desert sands. Kolya danced a dance of joy, and then printed out a photograph and hung it in the corner where Santiago slept.
A day later, another letter arrived - this time from Georgia. There, above Santiago, a granite mountain with a snowy peak rose. Then another and another came, letters came every day - from Turkey, from Greece, Italy and, finally, from Africa. Kolya saw half the world through the eyes of his friend.

Once, my mother looked into Kolya's room. In the corner where the nest had once been, all the photographs of Santiago were hung.

This is the real Museum of Wonders! Mom said.

Memoirs of Vera Grigorievna Lukina (Shemetova), a resident of the village of Most. 1927 year of birth.
I am from Upper Kulta. My maiden name is Shemetova. Our village is small, in the village there is a chapel, a well, the river Kulta flows. Kulta flows into Onega. We celebrated the church holiday of the Assumption in the village, it is celebrated on August 28th. I lived in this village during the war.
I was left by my mother of six years, and my brother remained of three years. We lived with my aunt and worked on the collective farm from childhood. Our collective farm was called "The New Life of the North".

She did all kinds of work. For two years she carried hay six kilometers away, stinging rye, knitting sheaves. It was necessary to rob 52 grandmas, to rob the entire area. Until the brigadier came, it was impossible to go home. And the rye was so good that I didn’t even take a sickle. On the day it was necessary to squeeze three acres. In winter I went with cows and calves. Cows and calves were in the same yard. Summons came from the village council, they sent us to the ditch. I went for three summers to the boat. They doused the forest in Mastaliga. I lived with an old lady. Her daughters studied with her, they were not at home. She kept a cow, which means there was food. Then I was sent from the village council to logging. This is 10 kilometers from Mastaliga towards Mezhdudvorye, I lived there for the winter. I just came home, and almost immediately they sent me to the ditching of the forest.

Dad was at the front. He came back from the war alive. Father came from the war not to us, but to his stepmother in Konevo. My father got me a job in Konev. Arranged to work in the district committee. Helped me get my passport. Already from the organization I was sent to the ditch to the Bridge. There were few rooms. Slept on the floor.
Nikolai Grigoryevich, my future husband, was already working there, unloading tractor sledges with timber. We met at the logging site. Six guys were sent from Most to study as tractor drivers in Obozerskaya. Let's go: Petrunin Fyodor, Sasha Sgibnev, Stanka Yemelyanov (brother of Oktyabrina Lukina), Ivan Lukin and Nikolai. There was also a sixth guy, but I don’t remember his last name. After the course, Nikolai drove timber on a tractor. His brother Ivan Grigoryevich Lukin also trained as a tractor driver and drove timber. Ivan Grigorievich at the Bridge married Oktyabrina Yakovlevna. She comes from Chazhengi, Emelyanova nee. Oktyabrina Yakovlevna came to her brother for the May holidays to the Bridge. Here they met, began to live in Rychkov barracks.
Nikolai and I lived for two years in the Zuev barracks, and then they gave us a switchboard house. He was the last in line. At that time there was no hostel at the Bridge. Pre-conscripts were brought only in the spring, for rafting. They lived in a club. They made bunk beds.

In the mornings, pre-conscripts were driven out to exercise, then they had breakfast and went to work. To the dining room, she was at Zakatov barracks, sheds were attached, long tables were placed under them and food was served through the window. They started dipping from Upper Ola, because its banks are higher, and then from Upper Lelma. From Moshi they were already driving timber to Onega. Stacks along the Ola lay on both banks, about two kilometers from Ukhab. They were rolled by hand, there were no tractors then. On Lelma, piles lay, starting from the bridge and down the river. All the banks were littered with forest.
On the okatka, another incident happened to me. Oktyabrina Lukina and I did the rounds. I don’t know how, but I rolled down all the logs into the water. And I can't swim. I scream, but no one comes to me. Then Venya Supakov gave me a hook, he was even before the army.
We have lived near the Bridge since 1951. Kolya, our eldest son, was born on May 7, 1953, Vitya, the middle son, was born on April 25, 1955, and Sasha, our youngest son, was born on April 20, 1957. Nikolai, my husband, was born on May 9, 1925. He comes from Zadnaya Dubrova. Their house is now destroyed.
After marriage, I visited my village twice. Once I went to the Assumption, and the second time brother Ivanushko drove me on a motorcycle. There were other villages near our village - Khrulevo, Okulovskaya, Balabanovo, Bersenikha. There was a collective farm office in Okulovskaya. And then there is already a bush of villages Archangelo.
Shura Ushakova (Kharina) was from Bersenikha. Shura had sons Zhenya and Volodya. Pavel Dmitrienko looked after her well. He worked hard and helped her a lot. Shura worked in the forest, went to Ust-Khanba to work, Zhenya carried little Zhenya with her to work. We only agreed with Nikolai, we were on the mound, a neighbor brought a goat: "You hold it." So we kept the goat since then. I called the goats all sticky. Oh, how I felt sorry for all the goats. The goats did not have a shepherd, they themselves grazed. She also kept sheep, she brought a bag of wool back to Konevo.
I did everything myself - spun, combed. Lace, pendants, curtains - I knitted everything myself, but now I don’t do anything, my eyes don’t see. Who taught me, I don't know. I'll see how women do it, I'll repeat it right there. And how many towels she embroidered! She was able to do everything. I didn't mate with anyone at Most.
My husband was all hurt. A splinter in the head, a dent in the neck. How he survived, I don't know. He lived well. He never swore at all. One day, I fell into a dump with a measure. I was barely pulled out. I then spent two months in the hospital. While I was in the hospital, Nikolai did not smoke with me, and he began to drink very little. Scared. His surgeon scared him that his wife would be disabled. He was very afraid for the children.
We lived with Nikolai for 43 years. What a garden we had near the Bridge! They dug up a hundred buckets of potatoes. Two ridges of huge onions grew. I have grown a lot of onions. Rutabaga, turnips - everything was grown, only cabbage did not grow. There was a hostel nearby, but no one had ever taken a potato without asking. Then they made a good hole. Bulk. The water never came in. A barn and a bathhouse were built. Everything was fine, but the work was hard.

I love cleanliness. The floors were then unpainted. I had to shake everything up. Everything was shaking. Kolya, our eldest son, had Anna Ivanovna Neustroeva as a teacher. She was so responsible! While the parents are at work, no one will be released from the school. They sit in checkers, play chess under supervision. She also went from apartment to apartment, looking to see if the students had everything for studying. She said: “You don’t teach them m-a, m-a. We will teach. And you buy them everything they need to study. And prepare a place where to prepare lessons. So that one of the guys came to school with a torn off button - this did not happen with her. The inspectors arrived, and the children are all neat and well-groomed. They did not believe, they say, prepared for our arrival. She answered them: "Come, at least every day." Kolya needs to go to school, but there is no suit. I went to Zoya Antipovna Petrova, and she made a suit for Kolya. He's used to being careful. Then, when I already went to the Konev school, people say that your Kolya rides standing all the way. I asked him: “Why don’t you sit in the car?” And he replies: “Mom, am I going to the lessons in crumpled trousers?”
Kolya went to the women's bath until the 4th grade. Anna Ivanovna Neustroyeva rubbed him. Once, Lyudmila Dmitrievna told him: “You, Kolya, are already big, you need to go to the bathhouse with your dad.” Kolya and my teacher were lucky. Then Zhenya Zakatova worked as a teacher in the kindergarten. She was very good with children. One day I come for him, and she says to me: “Today, Kolya didn’t go to bed at a quiet hour, we all talked with him.”
I didn’t go to the cinema, I didn’t have time for everything. I had to keep everything in order. Kolya comes once and persuades me: "Mom, go to the cinema, today there is a two-episode Indian movie." I went, I really liked it. Kolya loved to watch movies. Then he helped projectionist Tolya Bykov, stood in control at the club.

At the Bridge, berries were nearby, mushrooms were growing nearby, but I had to leave. There is nothing close to Konev. After we went for mushrooms to the Kruglisky bridge, it is on the floor - the road to Chazhenga.
I live, I have my own corner. How we would live well now if grandfather was alive. Sometimes I don’t sleep, I remember everything, I think I could write a whole book, I remember so many things.
