Fur snood. Do-it-yourself snood from fabric, an old sweater and fur Do-it-yourself fur collar

Do-it-yourself snood from fabric, an old sweater and fur.

It's autumn and the first cold weather, which means it's time for scarves. And if you are friends with a sewing machine, then you can easily sew an original accessory for yourself - snood. There are a lot of options from what fabric to sew it. It can be knitwear, and cotton, and fleece. Everything depends on the season. Use any fabric, the main thing is that they are delicate, not stiff and not very dense. You can also sew a snood with your own hands and from an old sweater.

In order to sew a snood with our own hands, we will need: an old sweater, a piece of fabric and a strip of knitted fur. Also scissors and a sewing machine.

Everything is done very simply. To begin with, a snood pattern is just a rectangle of the size we need. Cut off the bottom of the sweater. Choose the width as you wish, what you want to get snood.

As a result, you will get a "pipe".

From the fabric we cut out and sew the second "pipe".

As a result, we get two "pipes" and a strip of fur.

Fold the fur strip in half.

And we place it between knitwear and fabric.

And then we sweep everything away.

And we sew all the layers together along the perimeter of the edge on a sewing machine.

It is difficult to do without a sewing machine on the farm. When buying it, pay attention to Astralux brand sewing machines. The Astralux machine is a popular sewing machine that has earned the recognition of buyers from different countries over the 40 years of its existence. Both a beginner and a professional can choose this sewing machine for themselves. Because in the line of models there are both simple electromechanical machines and computerized ones capable of performing hundreds of operations. Well, the price is quite reasonable.

Then turn everything right side out.

And hem the lining fabric to the jersey.

That's all! Agree, all this is sewn very simply and easily.

It's cold weather, so it's time to warm up!
Today's article is devoted to sewing a "warm fleece snood" and I decorated it with an owl appliqué made of felt.
A little earlier, I sewed a fleece hat and to make a set, we will sew snood from the rest of the fabric.
Such a snood can be sewn not only from fleece, but also from any knitted fabric, for example: footer, ribbed, coolers or any other suitable stretch fabric.
I will sew for my daughter, but the principle of cutting and sewing is also suitable for an adult, only you need to take a larger size.
I chose a fitted model for sewing, so that the child’s throat would be well covered, and in cold weather, even the nose.

What is required for tailoring:
Textile- for such a model, you need a length equal to the circumference of the head along the circumference + 2 cm, an increase in the seam, well, you can add a little more + 2 cm for a little freedom. For example, the circumference of the head along the circumference is 54 cm. And here we add about 4 cm. 58 cm
Width 40 cm + 2 cm per seam = 42 cm.
Scissors
sewing machine
Threads to match
Sewing pins
Well, creative mood)

We cut off the required size of the fabric, in width we fold this cut in half with the front side inward. For convenience, we cut off our workpiece with pins along the entire length or we sweep it with threads by hand.

We sew along the edge of the length with a regular straight stitch.

Now turn it over to the front. (I sewed the application in advance).

Straighten and smooth with your hands.

Now we fold the length of the snood in half and cut off the two sides together in two layers (not four.) around the circumference to the limit, while this is possible.

from a different angle

Now we sew on a typewriter, we sew while it is being sewn, to the limit, while it turns out.

Now turn inside out

Such a hole is left, which we sew with a blind seam by hand.

That's all our snood is ready. Now we are ready for a snowy winter)

Later I will try to post photos of how it will look on my daughter.
So bookmark this page so you don't miss it.

Snood with a hat is a ready-made set.

And this is how snood looks in life.
In general, I like it, but it turned out to be a bit wide in my opinion, so then I took it in a little, but it’s impossible to photograph everything. Therefore, I put on display for now the first option.

This season, designers offer fur snood scarves from both natural and faux fur. But, of course, fashionistas prefer natural products more. In any case, a fur accessory will be an interesting and stylish addition to the bow.

Most often, girls choose a fur snood from a red fox, silver fox, raccoon. It is these furs that are quite affordable, but look expensive and stylish. The most unusual models are represented by products made of rabbit and wolf fur. Such fur styles are easy to tint, so the choice of these models is the richest. However, mink fur snood cannot be ignored. The fur of this animal has always been valued above all else. Mink emphasizes financial position, independence and self-sufficiency in the image. That is why fashionistas love products made from this fur so much.

Fur snood looks best with elegant coats. This look in any style will emphasize sophistication and femininity, and a stylish fur addition will add originality and femininity. Also, a snood fur scarf is beautifully combined with a leather wardrobe. But in this case, you should pay attention that the model of the jacket, raincoat or coat should be fitted or tight-fitting. Unisex and oversized styles are not suitable for a fashionable bow with a fur snood. In the warmer season, a beautiful accessory can be worn with an elongated cardigan or jacket. You should not wear fur snood with a fur coat. In this image, there will be a bust with fur, and the accessory will simply be lost against the background of outerwear.

Snood with fur trim

For those who want to be in trend, but are limited financially, designers offer trendy snoods with fur trim. Most often, such models are represented by knitted products with fur decor. But you can also find dense knitted snoods trimmed along the edge with artificial or natural trim.
