Knitting for women mesh pullover. Beautiful mesh jumper with openwork inserts. Description of knitting a mesh pullover

Hello, dear friends!

I bring to your attention a mesh knitted women's jumper with openwork inserts. I saw this elegant openwork jumper while flipping through the Sabrina magazine.

The description of the openwork jumper is given for SIZES: 36/38 and 40, translated into ours - 42/44 and 46 (the last size is indicated in parentheses).

Knitting a women's jumper

To knit a mesh jumper with openwork inserts you will need:

  • 450 (500) g of Fiorino yarn in camel color (100% merino wool, 120 m/50 g);
  • knitting needles No. 4.

Of course, in the absence of this particular yarn, you can choose some other one, the main thing is that it matches KNITTING DENSITY, and here she is like this:

  • average density: 21 loops and 26, 5 rows - 10 x 10 cm;
  • “Mesh” pattern: 21, 5 loops and 28 rows - 10 x 10 cm.

Description "Mesh" pattern, used to knit this jumper, is located.

The diagram of the openwork pattern with leaves is below. In addition to these patterns, when knitting an openwork jumper with knitting needles, the front stitch is used (on the front side you need to knit with facial loops, on the back side with purl stitches).

Knitting pattern “Strip of leaves”

"A strip of leaves" can be used either in combination with other openwork patterns or as a stand-alone pattern (it has a beautiful jagged edge).

To knit a sample of this pattern, you need to cast on the number of loops that are a multiple of 19 and add 2 more edge loops. Next we will knit according to the pattern.

Scheme of the pattern “Strip of leaves”

The diagram shows only the front rows, in the purl rows we will knit all the loops and yarn overs purl, only 2 We will knit yarn overs in a row like this: 1 purl and 1 purl crossed, as in the “Mesh” pattern.

Knitting back and front

cast on 93 (101) loops and knit after the edge like this:

  • 1 front, 1916 (20) loops with a “Mesh” pattern,
  • 19 loops with the “Strip of Leaves” pattern,16 (20) loops with a “Mesh” pattern,
  • 19 loops with the “Strip of Leaves” pattern, 1 front, edge.

Having knitted 40 (38.5 cm), or 106 (102 rows) from the beginning of knitting, we will close 4 loops for the armholes on both sides and then decrease 1 loop 5 times in each 2nd row.

After 58 cm (154 rows) from the beginning of knitting, we will close off the remaining 75 (83) loops. In this case, the middle 51 loops form the neckline, and the outer 12 (16) loops on each side form the shoulders.

Knitting sleeves

We cast on 54 (62) loops in a crosswise manner and knit with a “Mesh” pattern of 37 cm (104 rows).

  • in every 2nd row - 3 times 1 loop;
  • in every 4th row - 7 times 1 loop;
  • in every 2nd row - 2 times 1 loop, 1 time 2 loops and 1 time 3 loops.

After 53 cm (148 rows) from the beginning of knitting, we will close off the remaining 14 (22) loops.

Product assembly

We will sew the shoulder seams, sew in the sleeves, sew the side seams and sleeve seams.

Knitting density: 10 p. x 16 r. = 10 x 10 cm. Knitted in a mesh pattern using knitting needles No. 10.

Attention: The product is knitted in 2 threads.

Back: With a double thread, cast on 70 (74-78) sts on needles No. 6 and knit with an elastic band, starting from the purl row: edge .. 1 knit .. 2 purl .. finish the row symmetrically. After 4 cm = 11 r. from the beginning row 2 p. knit with knitting needles No. 10. then in the 1st r. evenly decrease 10 stitches. To do this, knit 2 stitches together = 60 (64-68) stitches on knitting needles. Continue working with a mesh pattern. After 40 cm = 64 r. from the elastic make on both sides for armholes according to the mark. Continue knitting at a height of 20 (21-22) cm = 32 (34-36) r. from the marks, close the middle 28 (30-32) stitches for the neckline and finish both sides separately. To round the neckline, close from the inner edge in every 2nd r. 2 more times, 1 p. At a height of 68 (69 - 70) cm from the bottom edge, bind off the remaining 14 (15-16) p. shoulder. Finish the second side symmetrically.

Before: 5 cm shorter and 4 cm wider than the back. Therefore, in the finished product, the shoulder seams are shifted toward the front, and the side seams toward the back.

Using a double thread, cast on 74 (78 -82) sts on needles No. 6 and knit with an elastic band, starting from the purl row: knit 1, purl 2, finish the row symmetrically. After 4 cm = 11 r. from the beginning row 2 p. knit with knitting needles No. 10. at the same time in the 1st r. evenly decrease 10 stitches. To do this, knit 2 stitches together = 64 (68-72) stitches on knitting needles. Continue working with a mesh pattern. After 40 cm = 64 r. from the elastic make on both sides for armholes according to the mark. Continue knitting at a height of 13 (14-15) cm = 20 (22-24) r. from the marks, close the middle 28 (30-32) stitches for the neckline and finish both sides separately. To round the neckline, close from the inner edge in every 2nd r. 1 more time 2 sts and 2 times 1 st. At a height of 63 (64-65) cm from the bottom edge, bind off the remaining 14 (15-16) sts of the shoulder. Finish the second side symmetrically.

Sleeves: cast on needles No. 6 with a double thread of 32 stitches and knit with an elastic band, starting from the purl row: edge, k1, purl 2, finish the row symmetrically. After 3 cm = 7 r. from the beginning row 2 p. knit with knitting needles No. 10. at the same time in the 1st r. decrease 10 sts evenly. Continue working in a mesh pattern. B10 (10 - 8th) r. from the elastic band, add 1 st for bevels on both sides, then in every 10 (8-8th) p. another 5 (6-7) times 1 p. = on knitting needles 44 (46-48) p. After 43 cm = 68 r. From the elastic band, close all the loops in one row. Knit the second sleeve in the same way.

Assembly: Pin the details onto the pattern, moisten and leave until dry. Sew shoulder seams. Using short circular needles No. 6, cast on 76 (80-84) stitches along the edge of the neckline and knit 6 rows in the round. with an elastic band. Then close the loops. Sew side seams and sleeve seams. Sew in the sleeves, placing them slightly at the top of the collar.

Openwork knitting boasts innumerable and inexhaustible variety. There are so many patterns and variations nowhere else. It is impossible to remember all the patterns. It would seem, how can you diversify the appearance of the grid? The grid is just that: a grid. But that was not the case, there are many options for the mesh pattern and each has its own nuances. Change the scheme a little, and before your eyes there is already a completely different openwork mesh - for example, a dense mesh, or a large lattice. Every craftswoman must know several patterns of openwork knitting, because what kind of openwork you choose will ultimately determine how exactly the knitted pullover or sweater will look.

Original pullover

The originality of a pullover begins with the knitting method. It should not be knitted from bottom to top, but from sleeve to sleeve. The sleeves are very wide, which gives a regal look to the wearer of the pullover.

For knitting you will need:

  • 6 r: yarn over, knit two together.

The front and back are knitted the same way:

Cast on the number of loops so that the width is 35 cm and knit 140 cm with the main pattern.

Knit the upper and lower cuffs with a 2×2 elastic band.

  • upper cuff (length - 50 cm, width - 8 cm);
  • lower cuff (62 cm and 10 cm).
  • cuffs can be knitted directly with the main fabric or knitted separately and connected to the main product

Openwork knitting is always fashionable and will remain so. Suitable for any age. Always relevant because things look feminine and elegant.
