Knitting a bat sweater with thin knitting needles. Bat sweater will emphasize the beauty of the figure. Description of knitting pullover bat

Instruction

Start knitting from the left sleeve. To do this, tie an elastic band, about ten to fifteen centimeters. Then knit the required number of rows of the sleeve with a stitch or other pattern, gradually adding a few loops on each side.

Go to the middle of the sweater and finish knitting symmetrically, while the decreases become additions and vice versa. Knit the remaining rows. After that, it is necessary to reduce the required number of loops, and tie ten centimeters of elastic on the remaining loops, then close all the loops.

Dial the required number of loops along the bottom edge of the front and back and knit with an elastic band for about sixteen centimeters. Then close all loops.

Connect the parts of the product, while doing the side seams and the seams of the sleeves. Work the neckline by purling one row and bind off all loops. Not so knit a bat sweater. Lay out your product and gently iron it through a damp cloth. Now you can knit a lot of different shapes and colors with an original and unusual sleeve.

Instruction

Having not tied a little to the middle of the shoulder, close the loops on the neck. Find the middle of knitting and somehow mark it or just remember. Set aside 1/4 of the neck circumference or neckline size that you would like to get in the end. Mark these points too.

Start a row with one of the sleeves, knit to the first mark and cast off the loops intended for the neck on one side of the middle and on the other. Remember their number. Knit a row along the second sleeve. If you closed the neckline strictly along the midline of the shoulder, pick up the loops in the next row. From the beginning of the sleeve, knit to the neck, make a set of loops and continue the row along the second sleeve.

Decrease the loops on the sleeves in the same order in which you added them. That is, if the sleeve is straight, knit quietly to the bottom of the armhole, and then immediately close the loops on both sides so that only those of which you will knit the shelf remain on the knitting needles. In the second case, close the loops gradually, not forgetting to try on new sections of the sleeves to the existing ones.

A product with a batwing sleeve does not necessarily have a straight horizontal cut. It can be with a fastener, and with a V-shaped neck. In this case, it is more convenient to start with the part that does not have a fastener. Until the neckline, knit in the same way as in the previous method. But after that, you will first have to tie one half to the end of the fastener, and then the other.

Or you can start knitting a "bat" sweater from the cuff. First knit the cuff itself, then knit the sleeve, gradually adding loops on both sides. You can expand it right away. The main thing is to remember how you did it, because you need to lower the loops on the second sleeve in the same order.

Knit to the side seam. Add loops at the same time from the side of the shelf and back. Knit in a straight line to the neck, then divide the work. Remove one part of the loops on a thread, and continue to knit the second to the end of the neck. Then return to the second part, knit them to the second edge of the neck and connect the parts. When you get to the second side seam, decrease the loops in the same order as you added them. Try to be as symmetrical as possible.

Description of knitting pullover bat

Attention! The pullover is knitted in one piece.

For the lower edge of the front part, on knitting needles No. 6.5, dial 52 (56) loops, tie 2 rows of garter stitch and knit with a patent mesh.

After 14 cm from the beginning of work, add 1 loop on both sides for side bevels, then in each 8th row 7 times 1 loop, we got 68 (72) loops.

Then dial on both sides for the sleeves in each 2nd row 4 times 1 loop, 7 times 2 loops, 3 times 4 loops and 2 times 5 loops, got 148 (152) loops.

Added loops include in the pattern.

After 48 cm from the beginning of work, loosely close the middle 8 loops of the neckline and knit further separately, closing along the edges of the neckline in each 2nd row 6 times 1 loop, we got 64 (66) loops.

After 56 cm from the start of work, mark the line of the shoulders.

To cut the neckline of the back, dial 20 loops between the shelves and knit on all 148 (152) loops symmetrically.

Assembly: for the cuffs, dial 34 loops along the edges of the sleeves on knitting needles No. 5.5 and knit with an elastic band, starting in the 1st purl row with an edge, 1 facial, 2 purl, ending with 2 purl, 1 facial, hem.

After 12 cm close the loops.

For the collar, cast on 60 sts on circular needle on the edge of the neckline and knit 20 cm with an elastic band, then cast off the sts loosely.

Sew side seams and sew sleeves.

Facial surface: knitting needles 6 ½ knit in persons. ranks of persons. loops, in out. rows - purl, in a circle only faces.

Pattern in rows:
First row - front: hem, * remove 1 loop from inside, thread at the back of work, 1 loop of front, 1 yarn over, stretch the removed loop over the knitted one and yarn over *, repeat to the end of the row, edge loop.
Second row - purl: hem loop, knit all loops purl, at the end hem.
Third row: hem, 1 person., * Remove 1 loop from the inside, thread at the back of the work, 1 person., 1 yarn over, stretch the removed loop over the knitted one and yarn over *, repeat to the end of the row, 1 person, edge.
Fourth row: edge, knit all loops out., edge.
Run 4 rows, then repeat them.

Pattern on circular needles: knitting needles No. 6 ½ knit on an even number of loops.
The first circle is a sample: * slip 1 loop outward, thread behind the work, 1 loop of faces., 1 yarn over, stretch the removed loop over the knitted one and yarn over *, repeat until the end of the circle.
The second circle is intermediate: all loops knit faces.
Third circle: 1 person, * slip 1 loop outward, thread behind the work, 1 face loop., 1 yarn over, stretch the removed loop over the knitted one and yarn over *, repeat to the end of the circle, 1 person.
Fourth round: all loops knit faces.
Complete 4 circles, then repeat them.

Reducing loops: edge loop, 2 front stitch, then knit 3 together with a slope = 1 loop is removed as a front., knit the next 2 loops together and stretch the removed over the knitted one.
Before the last three loops, knit 3 loops together faces., 2 faces. satin stitch and one edge.
Thus, 2 loops will decrease on both sides.

Knitting density: with knitting needles No. 5, perform 17 loops x 24 rows of elastic band = 10x10 cm, with knitting needles No. 6 ½ knit 17.5 loops x 20 rows of pattern = 10x10 cm.

Knitting bat pullover, description:

Back: on knitting needles No. 5, cast on 86/94 loops.
To get a high elastic band, work 12 cm = 29 rows, starting from the inside. row.
In the first out. row after the edge loop knit 1 out., at the end of the row before the edge loop also goes 1 out.
Then switch to needles number 4 ½. At a height of 10 cm = 24 rows after changing knitting needles 1 persons. knit a row, while evenly cast on 24/16 loops from the transverse thread and knit them crossed = 110 loops.
Then 1 out. row to perform purl loops.
Spokes No. 6 ½ knit a pattern. To give the pullover a special shape (bat) on both sides in each second row, cast on an additional * 2 times 1 loop and 1 time 2 *, repeat 3 times, then another 12 times 1 = 166 loops.
The loops typed on both sides are sequentially included in the pattern.
At a height of 27 cm = 54 rows from the beginning of the pattern, make marks and to bevel the sleeves, decrease 2 loops on both sides, then in each second row, decrease 13 times 2 loops = 110 loops.
Leave 3 loops for shoulder seams on each side and knit a pattern on the remaining 104 loops, at the end of the edge loop.
At the same time, on both sides, to bevel the shoulders, close 3 loops, then in every second row 1 time for 5, 1 time for 6 and 2 times for 8 loops.
Set aside the remaining 44 loops for knitting a collar.

Before: knit in the same way as the back.

Sleeves: On needles No. 4 ½, dial 44/48 loops.
Knit an elastic band, starting from purl. row.
In this row, after the edge loop, go 2 out. loops.
At the end of the row in front of the hem - 2 out. loops.
On both sides for mowing in the twenty-first row from the beginning, cast on 1 loop, then in every tenth row 3 times 1 = 52/56 loops.
Add the cast-on loops sequentially to the pattern.
At a height of 15 cm = 36 rows from the beginning of the set, change the knitting needles to No. 5 and continue working.
At a height of 30 cm = 72 rows of loops close as they are seen.

Assembly: parts stretch, moisturize and leave to dry.
Run the side seams, not reaching 13/12 cm to the end of the elastic, then leave open 14/15 cm between the marks, according to the pattern.
Sew the seams of one-piece sleeves up to the deferred loops and sew the seams of free-standing sleeves.
On needles No. 6 ½ on the right side of the product, dial 6 delayed loops (3 back, 3 front). On both sides, get 1 out. and 1 edge loop = 10 loops.
Then the loops in each row are knitted as they are seen, while in the first row 2 middle loops are knitted together. = 9 loops and knit a strip of 18 cm.

Probably any woman loves comfortable and loose pullovers, but for many beginner knitters it is difficult to assemble the model, and sewing on the sleeves is especially difficult, then a bat-style knitted sweater is just what you might like.

In this article we will learn:

  1. How to make a whole pattern
  2. What are the pattern options
  3. How to cast on bat sleeve loops
  4. In what sequence to knit the product

This master class was taken from the magazine "Sandra"

1. How to make a whole pattern

Consider first the pattern drawing shown here. solid lines correspond to the contours of the parts, the dotted lines indicate that in these areas the part is made with one canvas.
Arrows show the direction of knitting. For models with batwing sleeves, as a rule, 1/4 of the knitted product pattern is given. To make a whole pattern, proceed as follows:
a) translate half of the front onto tracing paper, for this put tracing paper on the pattern drawing from the magazine and draw the corresponding lines.
Attention: draw a front neckline on the tracing paper. Make the inscription “1/2 front” on this drawing, mark the middle of the front and the left shoulder line (Fig. 1).

b) Rotate the tracing paper. aligning the shoulder line of your drawing with the shoulder line of the pattern drawing from the magazine. Draw half of the back. Don't forget to draw the neckline here too. Make an inscription on your drawing "1/2 back" and indicate the middle of the back (Fig. 2).

c) Turn the tracing paper so that the middle of the back of your drawing coincides with the middle of the front of the drawing from the magazine. Draw the second half of the back. Thus, 3/4 of the pattern drawing is ready and you can inscribe this part and mark the right shoulder line (Fig. 3).

d) Turn the tracing paper again so that the middle of the front and the line of the shoulder of your drawing coincide with the corresponding lines of the drawing of the pattern from the magazine and draw the second half of the front. Make the inscription "1/2 front". A complete drawing of the pattern has been received (Fig. 4) and you can start knitting according to the instructions.

2. What are the options for patterns on the site

Knitting models with bat sleeves usually start from the bottom edge of the front, respectively, the back, or from the cuff of the sleeve. The knitting sequence is indicated in the instructions, the direction of knitting is shown by the arrows on the pattern drawing.
Often models are made of 2 parts with shoulder seams, which is shown in the pattern drawing with a solid line (Fig. 5).

The front and back with one-piece knitted sleeves are performed separately and, after finishing the work, the shoulder edges and the upper edges of the sleeves are sewn together. A batwing jacket can be started, for example, from the sleeve. Having finished the 1st shelf, the loops are closed and re-typed at the beginning of the 2nd shelf (Fig. 6). If the jacket starts from the back, then both sticks are knitted separately from the neckline (Fig. 7).

3. How to cast on loops for batwing sleeves

Passing from the front, acc. backs, to the sleeves (or vice versa), you should dial several loops in one row.
These loops can be added by knitting each subsequent loop from the previous one.
At the end of the row, before increasing, make a crossed yarn over and turn the work.
* Insert the right needle into the yarn over, knit the front loop and leave it on the knitting needle (fig. 8).

With the left knitting needle, remove the crossed loop, for this, insert it into the loop from right to left (Fig. 9).

Repeat knitting from * until the number of loops necessary for work is typed on the needle, then continue knitting on all loops (Fig. 10).

4. In what sequence to knit the product

If you are doing a model with bat sleeves, then it is important to know the knitting sequence of individual sections, this is usually indicated in the instructions. Let's give two examples.
If pullover starts from the bottom edge of the front(Fig. 11), then first they knit in front with sleeves to the neck of the front (red section), then separately each side to the neck of the back (yellow and green sections), then the back is made (blue section) and finished with sleeve cuffs (purple section).

If the jacket starts from the sleeve(Fig. 12), then first they knit the sleeve to the beginning of the neck (red section) and then the back to the end of the neck (yellow section), then finish the 1st shelf (green section), start the 2nd shelf and knit it to the end of the neck (blue section), finish the product with a sleeve cuff (lilac section). Then the elastic bands of the shelves and back are tied (orange section).
