Women are not allowed. But when it comes to close people, etiquette may not be observed. If your friend appreciates good wines, why not give her such a gift?

If alcohol is sold in a box, it is packaged as standard. How to pack a bottle without a box? After all, you want the present to look original and festive. Let's look at some interesting solutions.

Wrap in paper

Lush bottle packaging

You will need a square or round sheet of paper, as well as ribbons and possibly tape. The paper size is approximately this:

  • if it is a square, then its side is equal to the height of the bottle multiplied by 2
  • if it is a circle, then its diameter is equal to the height of the bottle multiplied by 2

We lay out the sheet on the table, place the bottle in the center, lift the edges of the paper up, collect it and secure it with a ribbon. For reliability, you can use tape.

How to beautifully package a bottle as a gift?

To make the packaging look even more magnificent, you need to take not one, but two or three types of paper at once, placing them one on top of the other: for example, one is a bright accent one, the other is translucent, the third is transparent. You can “play” with the edges of the paper, making them curly.

If desired, additional decor can be applied: for example, small Christmas balls, sweets, flowers, beads, etc.

Instead of paper, elegant fabric is also suitable for lush packaging.

The packaging for the bottle is laconic

We will need:

  • thick wrapping paper
  • double sided tape
  • scissors
  • neat bow

1. Place the wrapping paper wrong side up.

2. Place the bottle on top and wrap it in paper, making two turns.

3. Cut off the excess.

4. On one of the long sides we make a bend of 1-2 cm (“we bend the face” towards the wrong side).

5. Glue double-sided tape to this edge.

6. Wrap the bottle, starting from the edge opposite the adhesive edge. Leave a few free centimeters of paper at the bottom of the bottle - this will be the bottom of the package.

7. Having reached the adhesive edge, gently press it, fixing the resulting tube.

8-9. We decorate the bottom of the package: carefully tuck in the paper and seal it with double-sided tape.

10-11. Place the bottle vertically. Squeeze the free top edge of the package. Leave 6-8 cm of paper above the neck of the bottle and cut off the rest.

12. Wrap the top edge twice, centimeter-wise, and secure with double-sided tape. Glue a small bow to the front of the package.

Japanese style paper packaging

1. We take two types of paper: red and white. The paper should be soft, but hold the fold line well. The size of the sheets depends on the bottle (the length and width are approximately twice the height of the bottle). The papers lie one on top of the other.

2. Make folds on the paper in one direction, pressing and smoothing the folds. The size of one fold is approximately 2-2.5 cm. Fold until you get a narrow strip. The edge, if it differs from the rest of the folds, is cut off. Unfold and separate the sheets. Before us is paper with clear parallel fold lines.

3. We pleat the sheets. Take the lowest fold line and fold it towards you by about half a centimeter. Press and smooth the fold. We do this with each fold line, moving higher and higher.

4. Secure the pleated with tape, gluing it to the wrong side of the sheet. We do this with both sheets.

5. We connect the sheets using double-sided tape, making sure that the folds on them are directed in one direction.

6. Turn the sheet inside out. Place the bottle diagonally in the bottom corner and wrap it. Secure the end with double-sided tape.

7. We decorate the bottom of the package. We cut off the excess and wrap the paper, securing it with tape.

8. Take cardboard or a thick card and cut out a circle to fit the bottom of the bottle. Glue the circle to the bottom of the package for stability.

9. Decorate the packaged bottle with ribbon and/or other decorative elements.

Japanese-style bottle packaging: option two

This is an extremely simple method with a very aesthetic result.

We will need paper that holds the fold line well. The sheet should be square. The length of the side is approximately twice the height of the bottle.

1. Fold the sheet in half diagonally. We get a triangle. If the paper is double-sided, you can fold it not quite in half - so that the edges of the two sides of the triangle differ in color.

2. Fold the triangle in half and smooth it to mark the center line.

3. Starting from one of the bottom corners, fold the paper into a fan until we reach the center fold line. Each fold is 1-1.5 cm.

4. Place the bottle in the corner of the smooth half. We glue the corner to the bottle with double-sided tape. We wrap the bottle to the center line and again fix the structure with adhesive tape.

5. We do not wrap the corrugated side around the bottle, but press it in one place and secure it with a tie (ribbon, braid, etc.).

Paper packaging with pompom or “curls”

The bottle is wrapped in the same way as described above in the instructions “Lactic packaging” (up to point 9). However, the upper free edge is not cut off, but cut into strips. Each strip must be pulled between your finger and scissors. As a result, the top of the package will become “curly.”

Packed in fabric

Furoshiki

This is a Japanese packaging technique. You can use elegant fabric, and if the gift is intended for a woman, a beautiful scarf will do (this is both packaging and an additional gift). Everything is done easily according to the scheme.

With pompom

Everything here is the same as with paper. We wrap it in 2-3 turns, fasten the structure with tape or seams. We tie a ribbon on top, and cut the free edge into strips, turning it into a cute pompom.

Paper bottle packaging with serpentine fringe

The standard version of packaging a bottle in paper can be varied with long curls on the neck of the bottle. This wrapper will look harmonious as a gift for the New Year holidays, as the twisted fringe resembles a serpentine.

In principle, you can skip this step by making the top in the form of an envelope or bag. Wrap the paper around the bottle and secure the side with small pieces of tape.
