After 19.5 cm = 48 p. (23 cm = 56 p.) 26 cm = 64 p. from the initial row close the remaining 22 (26) 30 p.

Girls, hello everyone!
I knitted this tunic 3 years ago, but recently updated it with sleeves and knitted a cole to it, so I decided to show you here in the topic.
At the time when I knitted it, I was 48-50 sizes, and size M sat well for me. Now I'm 10kg less, but I think it sits fine too, so it's not scary to tie it loosely :)
I showed the tunic for the first time.
And today's version
to photo hosting → to photo hosting → to photo hosting →

The loops were cast on, as written for size M, only very tightly and with thin knitting needles, because you also need to expect that the neck will stretch down under the weight of the product. The neckline turned out to be square, but there are short rows in the description, so the neckline sits comfortably. It seems to me that for those who want a higher neckline, one could simply start not with an elastic band, but immediately with the main part, and then tie the elastic band to the desired height.
Well, when pocket increases begin, it seems that it will be too loose in the hips, just a disaster! but when the pockets are ready and tucked in, everything falls into place. In my subjective opinion, when these pockets are close-fitting on the hips, it doesn’t look very good ... well, again, it depends on how you are going to wear this tunic - if it’s like a dress, then you can wear pantyhose, but I actually I wear it with jeans, so jeans pockets and a belt do not stand out under a free silhouette.

A dress is not a dress, a jumper is not a jumper, but a practical and comfortable tunic with pockets, knitted with raglan needles on top. It can be knitted on knitting needles, or on a knitting machine. The approach will be somewhat different, since you cannot place such a number of loops on the machine. And you have to divide into details: back, front, details of pockets and sleeves.

But on the needles, you can knit it on top according to the description below. This model is suitable for ladies of different builds. Due to the cut and pocket lines, even a pregnant tummy will not be so noticeable. At first it seems that it is difficult to understand this number of transfers and decreases-increases. However, you only need to link it once according to the description and adjust it for yourself, and everything will turn out to be simple and easy. The only inconvenience is a large number of loops on the knitting needles. But you can get used to it too.

The tunic has the author's name Still light Tunic By Veera Valimaki. This article is a translation from a foreign resource. We also call it a tunic with pockets. They knit and wear it with pleasure. How to knit it with knitting needles, see below.

Note

If you knit it on a machine, then it is clear that you will need patterns for details. Separate back, separate sleeves and special attention to the front. It consists of four stages: first, one pocket with burlap is untied together, then the other.

Next, we knit the lower part of the front and hang the details of the pockets on both sides. Knitting continues upwards as usual before. With ruffled or knitted armholes, depending on the model. All the details of the tunic with pockets on the car come from below - knitting from above did not justify itself.

Tunic one size fits all. According to the above calculations, from 44 to 48-50 Russian size is suitable. In addition, the tunic looks great on almost any figure: slender and tall; short and stocky. You can use this idea any time you want. It is enough to add jacquards along the hem and sleeves, make the neckline smaller or even untie it from the golf collars, like a sweater, and there will be different models. Whether for going out or for home. Very cozy thing.

Playing with length, we get a tunic, jumper or dress. Depends on the yarn, desire and skill of the needlewoman. Warm winter, office, light summer - the base can be used for things for various purposes.

You just need to understand the technology and not be afraid of a large number of facial loops on the knitting needles. For this there are knitting needles on the fishing line, so the trouble is quite fixable.

  • Knit the second sleeve in the same way.

Pockets

Knit pockets from the outside of the tunic, then turn inside out and close the loops.

Right pocket

  • From the right side, place the loops of the right pocket from the loop holder on the stocking needles and dial 10 (13; 16; 19; 23) loops from the cast-on edge.
  • Join in a round and work in stockinette stitch until pocket pouch measures 15 cm deep.
  • Turn the pocket pouch inside out of the tunic (the front side is now exposed) and bind off from the wrong side using the third needle knitting method:
  • Divide the stitches evenly over two stocking needles and start casting off the stitches from the side seams of the torso.

Left pocket

From RS, cast on 10 (13; 16; 19; 23) sts from cast on edge and place sts from left pocket holder on stocking needles. Join in a round and work in stockinette stitch until pocket pouch measures 15 cm deep.

Turn the pocket pouch inside out on the inside of the tunic (the front side is now exposed) and cast off from the wrong side using the third needle cast off method: divide the stitches evenly over two stocking needles and start cast off from the side seams of the torso.

Assembly

Carefully sew the pocket pouch with the edge closed with the third needle to the tunic with a few stitches (this will prevent the pockets from turning outward when wearing the tunic). Hide all the ends and sew a button to the neckline on the back. Steam the tunic.
