Simple patchwork knitting techniques and detailed patterns. All about crocheted and knitting Patchwork: we update the interior and wardrobe! Patchwork crochet pattern pattern

Good afternoon

Outside the window is warm autumn, and at home ... almost winter.

Until the heating is turned on, it is cold and uncomfortable, and you just want to wrap yourself in a warm blanket.

It’s probably not for nothing that I’ve been met in the networks lately beautiful plaids knitted in patchwork style.

These are plaids from crocheted motifs, but not from the center, as we are usually used to, but from the corner.

If you have never knitted like this, let's try to master this technique.

Plaids in patchwork style.
Crochet from the corner

Let's start with the selection of yarn. Choose any one you like. Can be used if there are a lot of them. It is only necessary that they be of the same thickness and match well in color. Properly chosen colors are the main key to the success of patchwork plaids.

On a blanket measuring 2000x1800 cm, about 2 - 2.5 kg of yarn is usually consumed.

It is better to use yarn of medium thickness, it can be a wool mixture or acrylic.

We will consider three options for knitting from the corner - three patterns for knitting blankets.

Plaid crochet in patchwork style. Diagram of a simple motif associated with an angle

Such a beautiful plaid, and knits quite simply.

Knitting pattern for a plaid motif

We start knitting a plaid motif with a ring of 4 air loops.

2nd row: columns with one crochet in each column of the previous row, and in the corner of the motive above the arch of air loops: 2C1H, 2VP, 2C1H.

To assemble a patchwork crochet plaid, we tie all the finished square motifs around on four sides with single crochets of yarn of the same color. In this case, black.

You can, of course, connect motifs to each other in the process of knitting. But for a large product, this is not always convenient.

I like to sew all the motifs already connected with a needle and thread, or crochet.

Knitted plaid in the style of a patchwork granny square pattern from the corner

This plaid uses the scheme of the well-known, maybe even boring, but nevertheless popular and always fashionable pattern "".

And the highlight of the plaid is the knitting of such a square from the corner.

In the first two rows, we knit a small square in a circle.

1st row: 3VP, 2S1N, 3VP, * 3S1N, 3VP * - repeat two more times. We connect the first and last loops.

2nd row: in each arch of air loops we knit 3S1N, 3VP, 3S1N.

From the 3rd row, we knit in reverse rows only on two sides of the square motif: three double crochets each, introducing a hook between the groups of columns of the previous row. There are three air loops in the corners.

Having connected the motif to the desired size, we knit the last row already round on four sides.

Knitting a plaid in the style of a patchwork in reverse rows

As you already understood, knitting motifs of patchwork plaids is done in reverse rows.

The plaid shown in the next photo is made according to the same knitting principle on both sides alternately: first from above and to the right, then from below and to the left.

This is a photo from a foreign magazine, without a knitting pattern. Let's figure out together how to knit such a beautiful plaid.

For clarity, I enlarged the fragment of the plaid.

It uses knitting with double crochets, it seems to me, and

First, we knit a small orange square.

Then we knit from the left and bottom a row with single crochets with white yarn, two rows with double crochets and another row with single crochets.

We attach the brown melange yarn and also tie it with single crochet and double crochet on the right side and on top.

Again, knitting from the left-bottom with white yarn with a “knob” pattern.

Then a bump pattern with burgundy yarn on top and on the right.

With beige yarn, we knit three rows with double crochets on the left and bottom.

And the last stage is brown yarn on top and on the right with a “knob” pattern.

We collect a crochet blanket from squares.

Patchwork baby blanket

Another patchwork plaid I really liked. Although here knitting does not start from the corner, but from the middle, but further, according to the principle described above, we knit alternately from different sides with different yarns in reverse rows.

Such bright juicy colors are perfect for.

Knitting a flower motif for blankets from the corner

Another interesting pattern for patchwork blankets, knitting on which starts from the corner. In the corner of this motif there is a small flower, let it be a chamomile.

First we knit a chamomile:

1st row: * C1H, 2VP * - 8 times.

2nd row: over the arches of the air loops we knit 5 C1H, between them - 5VP.

The 3rd and 4th rows of the motif according to this scheme are knitted in a circular fashion in a spiral, here one row passes into another.

And from the 5th row we knit in reverse rows on both sides of the square motif.

I connected the motif with a granny square pattern with a chamomile in the corner.

By connecting the motifs, you can also knit a fun cushion cover for the kit.

It will look something like this in my photoshop:

As you can see, patchwork style blankets are very interesting to knit. And how beautiful it turns out and original to the same.

The ideas of all the blankets of our blog are collected in this video:

An interesting knitting technique is crocheted patchwork, with which you can create a beautiful knitted fabric. The patchwork technique consists in knitting a fabric from individual squares. Each row of squares has the opposite direction, thereby revealing the original geometric pattern due to the play of light and shadows.

The crochet technique for this pattern is quite simple and consists of knitting squares alternately from the bottom to the top row without breaking the thread.

Crochet Patchwork Pattern Workshop:

You can determine the size of the squares in the pattern yourself, for example, the width of the square is 20 loops. To start knitting, you need to dial a chain of air loops for the width of the product (for example, for three squares) + 1 loop for the corner + 20 loops for the height of the square + 1 lifting air loop \u003d 82 air loops.

First row for the first square: knit 19 sts in a chain / n, the next 3 sts in a chain knit together with one top, thereby forming the corner of the square, 19 sts in a / n.

2nd row of the square: Knit in the opposite direction along the previous row of columns, here and further, insert the hook only for the back half loop, to obtain a relief pattern in the rib.

Cast on one air lifting loop, 18 st b / n, 3 st b / n together, 18 st b / n.

3rd row of the square: 1 air p. lift, 17 st b / n, 3 st b / n together, 17 st b / n.

4th row: 1 air p., 16 st b / n, 3 st b / n together, 16 st b / n. Next, knit a square until you knit the last 3 stitches together.

To start knitting the second square, knit the first row first along the side of the first square 19 st b / n, 3 st b / n together in the corner, then along the chain 19 st b / n. Next, knit as the first square from the 2nd row.

Continue knitting the squares, working the next as the previous one in turn for the width of the desired fabric, which you calculated by casting on the initial chain of loops.

To move on to knitting the second row of squares in height from the corner of the last square, dial a chain of 21 air. p. (20 loops square width + 1 air p. lifting) and knit the first row for the square.

1st row: 19 sts b / n in the air chain, 3 sts b / n together (insert the hook into the remaining air chain, into the corner of the last square, along the side of the square, knit the elongated loops together at a time) , then 19 st b / n along the upper side of the last square. Continue knitting the square as all the previous ones from the 2nd row, gradually reducing the number of loops.

Next square, work the first row along the side of the last square 19 sts in / n, 3 sts in / n together at the corner, 19 sts in the bottom square.

Knit all subsequent squares, like the previous one, to the width of the canvas. In this row, the decreases that form the corner are directed in the other direction, thereby shading the pattern.

Friends, today I want to invite you to do patchwork knitting. Let's crochet a patchwork square, as in the photo above ...

Knitting in the patchwork style is easy and quite interesting ... The products turn out great - bright and joyful.

In addition, patchwork knitting is probably the best way to put stale yarn leftovers into action ....

Be sure to try to crochet such a patchwork square with me, it is quite possible that it will be the beginning of your big project ... Maybe you want to crochet a pillow or even a bedspread in this style.

The patchwork square that we will crochet with you today, although it looks like a multi-part construction, is not knitting from separate parts. We will not need to separately knit multi-colored stripes, and then sew them together. Such a square is knitted with a single piece of fabric ... True, the thread still has to be torn off and tied sometimes. But no hassle with the connection of "spare parts"

Materials, techniques and symbols in the text

For knitting, prepare the remains of yarn of three to four (as many as possible))) colors approximately equal in thickness and a hook suitable for the threads.

In fact, when you master this type of patchwork knitting, you can use yarn of completely different qualities for your masterpieces, creating knitted fabrics that are interesting in texture. But that's in the future. For now, let's get down to business

I will knit with four colors of yarn:

  • White (1)
  • Salad (2)
  • Green (3)
  • And the colors of the sea wave, the so-called moray eel (4)

We will crochet a patchwork square pattern. In the text, I will refer to them as RLS. We also need - VP - that's the whole set of knitting techniques ...

How to crochet a patchwork square - diagrams and description

The knitting pattern for such a square in patchwork style is as follows In the center is a small square, tied on all sides with multi-colored stripes. Each strip consists of 4 rows of single crochets.

We start knitting from the center, i.e. First we knit the central square:

With yarn No. 1, dial a chain of 8 air loops.

1 row - we begin to knit single crochets from the second loop from the hook to the end of the row (7СБН). Turning knitting

2-8 rows - 1 lifting VP, 7 RLS
We cut the thread. Change yarn color to #2.

Note! When knitting a square using the patchwork technique, in this case, the lifting loop is not counted as a column.

First and second lanes

Yarn number 2. 1 lifting VP, 7СБН (column in each loop of the lower row) we knit 4 rows. DO NOT cut the thread!
We do VP lifting. Rotate work 90 degrees and work 12 sc along the long side of the center square (see photo below)
We knit in this way with turning rows of only 4 rows.
We cut the thread, fasten it and go to yarn No. 3

And we continue...

Third and fourth lanes

Yarn number 3 must be attached on the other side of the central square. Those. in the 8th loop of the chain of air loops (see photo below)
Knit 4 rows of sc along the edge of the square, 12 sc each, starting the row with a lifting loop
We knit the fourth strip by analogy with the second. Turn the knitting 90 degrees and again knit 4 rows without a crochet, starting each row with an air lifting loop, along the side of the central square that has not been tied up to this point (16 RLS)

We fasten and attach the yarn of another color No. 4 to the opposite corner, where we will again knit first the strip on one side, and then on the other side of the square

I think the principle of knitting in the patchwork style should be clear to you. But to fix the material, we will knit a few more strips.

Fifth and sixth lanes

We attach yarn No. 4 to the last loop of the second strip and knit 4 rows of 16 sc along the edge of the part, not forgetting to do the lifting VP before the start of each row. We do not cut the thread.
We turn knitting 90 degrees and knit the sixth strip along the other edge according to the principle and similarity described above (18 RLS)
In this way, you can knit indefinitely ... or up to the desired size of the motif
Or you can crochet more than one patchwork square, but several, subsequently connecting them into some large product ...

By the way, according to this principle, you can try to knit a square with knitting needles ...

So what is patchwork or knitted patchwork?

Actually, in my opinion, the concept of patchwork refers exclusively to sewing ...

Patchwork, patchwork technique, patchwork mosaic, textile mosaic (also patchwork, from the English patchwork - “a blanket, a bedspread, a product made of multi-colored patches”) is a type of needlework in which, according to the mosaic principle, a whole product is sewn from pieces of fabric (patchwork). In the process of work, a canvas is created with a new color scheme, pattern, and sometimes texture. Modern masters also perform volumetric-spatial compositions using the patchwork technique.

It seems that everything is suitable for knitting ... and the fabric is sewn according to the mosaic principle and there are new color schemes ... there is only one problem: a new fabric in the patchwork technique, by definition, is created from pieces of fabric - shreds, and these are just leftovers from any sewn things or something ripped into squares and triangles - they do not need to be woven before being sewn into a new product ...

With patchwork knitting, it is more and more time consuming))) because. before connecting certain motives, they must first be connected ...

And then, how can knitting be patchwork at all?

FLAP, flap, pl. patches, patches, and patches, patches.

1 . An excerpt or piece (matter, paper, leather, - not a whole piece or sheet; in many rags - about larger

I love to crochet, but my relationship with large-format products has never worked out. Either patience was not enough, or skill and could only sigh, looking at pictures from knitting magazines, especially those that depicted crocheted bedspreads, pillowcases or curtains.

The word "home" evokes a variety of associations, for some it is the aroma of mother's pies and buns, for some it is the smell of perfect cleanliness, and for people like me, it is something tangible, with a special play of texture, shape and color.

Patchwork- a special style, it can be simple and refined, and as practice shows, even something jewelry. You can simply sew the patches at random, or you can make a real picturesque and mosaic masterpiece out of this multicolor. The achieved effect depends not only on the quality of the materials, but primarily on the technique of execution.

If you are using materials Handmade Runet and ours, then most likely they noticed, we discovered not only for ourselves, but also for you from a very unexpected side, and all thanks to a creative tandem with - a real enthusiast crochet patchwork.

Patchwork knitting technology developed by Irina No, allows you to introduce threads of any color "flush" into the fabric, thanks to this knitting technology, the color transitions in the fabric are smooth, imperceptible and without sharp borders. If you try hard, your crocheted patchwork will become works of art.

Our forum has already opened many secrets for many needlewomen patchwork in crochet technique. Now it's time for the next stage.

Today we are starting a series of publications that will help you learn more one of the patchwork options, which is based on squares connected from the corner.

I suggest starting with the right selection of materials. In principle, you can knit with anything in terms of the quality and color of the yarn, and the thickness of the hook, but if your experience in crocheting is not too great, Irina Net advises you to purchase well, but not too tightly twisted yarn, which will be dominated by cotton. For example, this one:

To tie the sample qualitatively, you, like me, will have to tie some parts of the square several times (a little later, you will understand why, I say so).

I liked knitting with this yarn, because it practically does not deform. For work, we need yarn of three colors (my purchase did not exceed 300 rubles).

Hooks for knitting are different - wooden, plastic, metal, bone. Since I crochet with beads, my personal favorite is metal crochet hooks.

Any yarn glides over them without problems and does not fray. For the motif knitted from the corner, I chose two hooks, one in strict accordance with the instructions on the yarn - 3 mm, and the other, a little thinner - 2.5 mm. After several attempts, I finally settled on the second one.

Hooks are melamine (special alloy), coated with a matte paint of a special composition, which resembles a mixture of paint and varnish. The hook is smooth, without notches and very light. It does not slip in the hand, the canvas is embossed, all the details are clearly visible and easy to read.

Before we start knitting, I will add a few more important points that you will have to keep in mind all the time.

Throughout the knitting process, you need to count the loops. This is a guarantee that the sides of the square will be the same. To make the square even and beautiful, the number of rows must be even.

Keep in mind that counting the loops will not save you from having to tie-tie something again, or even two or three. In this case, quantity is a guarantee of quality. This I have tested on my own experience.

When moving to the next row, the lifting loop is NOT knitted, the single crochet is knitted directly into the last column of the previous row. The main knitting element of the square fabric is a single crochet. We will use a scheme where the single crochet (RLS) is denoted as follows:

In the process of knitting, make sure that the tension of the working thread, the height of the columns and the length of the pulled and knitted loops are the same. A single crochet (RLS) is always knitted for both segments of the pigtail ("hat" of the column) of the previous row.

Prepare yarn and hooks, be patient. Tomorrow we start knitting!

Knitting scales.
_____________

Intarsia, knitted patchwork, modular knitting - the names are different, but the essence is the same; the canvas is assembled from separately connected pieces. If you know how to knit facial and purl, then everything else is not at all difficult.

We collect loops on the knitting needles for one scale. It is advisable to knit one trial for the correct calculation of the number of loops, because the lower part of the scale will arch in the process of knitting and its length will become shorter due to this. We calculate the length by measuring from one lower corner to the other, in a straight line. I cast on 45 loops (any odd number is possible) per scale (yarn 50g - 135m) at the rate of 3 scales in length on the back and one and a half on the shelves.

Garter knit (all rows are knit). Nobody interferes with knitting with any patterns, but my threads are melange and the emphasis is on color.
We knit: 1 row - we remove the hem, 43 front, we knit the hem with the wrong side.
2nd row - remove the hem, 2 together front, 41 front, 2 together front, knit the hem with the wrong side.
So we continue to knit two loops together, next to the edge ones in each row, and we knit all the middle loops with facial loops until 3 loops remain on the knitting needle. We knit them together with the front. We do not cut the thread, we leave the skein along with the scale.

In the same way, we knit the second scale (new skein / ball).

Looks like a swimsuit bra in the photo :)

We knit the second row of scales from the upper edge loops of the lower rows in a checkerboard pattern. To get 45 loops again, we knit the loops from the front and back walls.

The side half-flake is knitted in the same way (we collect half the loops, I have 23), only the loops are not removed in front of the hem on the side to get a smooth vertical edge.

So we collect all the canvas. We do not break the threads, but we begin to knit each subsequent scale from the previous thread.
