Summer men's fingerless gloves. Knitting gloves without fingers Crochet gloves with short fingers

The New Year holidays have passed, but February 23 and March 8 are approaching, which means that you need to prepare gifts for relatives and friends. And if you don’t have a lot of finances or want to pleasantly surprise, then the best way is to make a gift with your own hands. For example, a wonderful woolen scarf or mittens knitted by your own hands. It is not difficult, and the gift will definitely not lie idle.

How to crochet simple mittens?

Mittens can also be knitted, but crochet will come out much faster. For beginners, it is better to use step-by-step instructions so as not to get confused in the loops and not ruin the craft.

Designations:

 • V.P. - air loops
 • CT. - column
 • S.C.N. - double crochet
 • C.B.N. - single crochet
 • W.L.C.C.N. - convex front column with a crochet
 • V.I.C.C.N. - convex purl double crochet

First, we take and collect a long chain of VP, the length corresponding to the distance from the tip of the phalanx of the middle finger to the wrists. The chain is wrapped around with a CCH thread.

Then you need to unscrew the canvas and make S.B.N., and then turn it over and throw S.S.N. again. For a round corner, you need to make 11 columns. Thus we made half of the mittens.

The mitten consists of two halves tied with S.B.N. Be sure to make a hole for your finger!

Scheme and description for knitting mittens

In order to sew a nice cuff on a mitten, you need to make S.B.N. every 23 V.P. Further 3 V.P.P., S.S.N., in the last. P. 7 S.S.N., S.S.N. to the end of R. - S.S.N.

V.P.P., S.B.N. 2 S.B.N. * 6 in ST. past R. - Lush S.T. V.P.P., S.B.N. 2 S.B.N. * 6 in ST. past R. for rounding in ST., close to the top, 2 S.S.N. * 6. - "crawl step"

In the slot for the finger, make a strapping S.B.N, from the inside: U.B, 1P., int. P.R, and so in every new R.

So, when you have knitted to the desired length, you can fasten and cut the thread. You can also sew a chain of V.P between the mittens so that they do not get lost. Very convenient for children.

The drawings give a detailed diagram of the process of making mittens, and if you follow it, you will end up with excellent mittens in which any frost is not terrible.

Crochet mittens master class for girls

Another interesting way to knit beautiful mittens for a child 1.5-2 years old. It is winter outside now and you should definitely make sure that the hands of the kids are warm, because they get sick much faster and like to grab all sorts of nasty things on a walk.

Mittens have a definite plus over gloves: they are wool and keep all fingers close, creating additional warmth. And these mittens are also knitted from two layers, which makes them ideal for a child.

Let's start by taking the approximate dimensions of the child's wrist (12 cm), the length of the palm to the end of the longest phalanx of the finger (10 cm) and measuring the width of the palm (7 cm). We also need about 100 g of gray and white yarn, a hook.

We make a long chain of 37 VP, close the loops in a ring and continue knitting in a circle. First we go from the elastic - 3 loops in the rise, 2 - convex S.S.N, 2 sinking S.S.N and so on alternating to the end of the entire row. An elastic band is required a certain length, for our sizes - 5 cm.

Where the thumb is - we knit a chain of 3 V.P, then we continue to do according to the scheme. The next row we knit a new loop over each loop of the chain and continue to take to the length we have determined. In this product - 11 cm.

We sew the same ends with each other, from the front side you need to tie S.B.N. The length of the finger in our product is 5 cm. When making a finger, the loops do not need to be cut to the end, just tie to the length we need, turn out and sew.

Next we knit the lining. Where there is an elastic band, we attach a thread and tie a mirror image of the mittens, but we knit without a C.S.N pattern, we sew the ends of the lining and tuck into the mitten.

Mittens are ready! If you want, they can be decorated with additional ornaments.

If it’s too difficult for you to knit mittens according to the pattern, you may be able to sign up for a simple master class on mittens in order to try to make your own version of mittens in practice under an experienced eye. But first, be sure to try it yourself, there is nothing complicated in knitting and you will enjoy the process if you take up this business yourself.

You can also try to teach your child to knit mittens, this will teach him perseverance and also make nice gifts to others with your own hands.

You can use threads of any color and achieve amazing results!

How to knit mittens with your own hands

 • First of all, be patient, the knitting process is quite painstaking. It's not difficult, but haste can ruin the result. It will be a shame to redo everything anew, making a mistake in one loop.
 • Prepare a free evening, turn on pleasant music, take a crochet hook and beautiful woolen threads.
 • Prepare your workspace for knitting. After that, get to work.

Let your work be productive, and the resulting mittens be strong and neat.

Knitting density 2.7 stitches per cm.

The girth of the hand is 20 cm.

There are different ways to knit gloves with knitting needles, here we will tell you how to knit gloves in the classic way: on five knitting needles in a circle, starting from the wrist. Gloves can be knitted with openwork, jacquard, embossed patterns. But since this section is intended for beginners, we will consider the technique of knitting gloves on a simple option, when gloves are knitted in stocking stitch.

Taking measurements

For knitting gloves, the following measurements are taken:

hand circumference (Ok) - 20 cm (we measure the widest part of the hand, the centimeter tape fits the arm tightly);

the length of the brush from the wrist to the base of the thumb - 6 cm;

the length of the brush from the wrist to the base of the little finger - 9 cm;

the length of the hand from the wrist to the base of the index finger is 10 cm.

Taking glove measurements

Start knitting gloves

As always, starting work, we knit a control sample and determine the density of knitting. In our case, it turned out Pg = 2.7 loops per cm.

Determining the required number of loops for knitting gloves is not so simple, following a direct count. Gloves should fit the hand fairly tightly so that they fit nicely and are comfortable to wear. Therefore, gloves are knitted somewhat narrower than the girth of the brush. How much narrower depends on the pattern, how strongly it stretches, and also on the elasticity of the yarn. Sometimes you have to bandage several times to achieve a good result. In our case, when gloves are knitted in stocking stitch, it is enough to take for calculation a value that is 1 cm less than the girth of the brush. We get: (Ok - 1) x Pg = (20-1) x 2.7 = 51.3. We round the result to a number that is divisible by 4 without a remainder, we get 52 loops, 13 on each knitting needle.

In order to make it more convenient to explain the technique of knitting gloves, we will assign the numbering to the knitting needles:

Knitting Gloves: Needle Numbering

We start knitting a glove from the cuff. The cuff width can be any (usually 6 - 9 cm); we will knit a cuff with a width of 7 cm, with an elastic band 1x1. So, we collect 13 loops on 4 knitting needles, we knit in a circle, connecting the thread from the ball with the end left from the set of loops and knitting 6-7 loops in two threads so that the circle closes more tightly. We knit the cuff in the outer circle clockwise. Having knitted 4 rows of dark gray yarn, we knit the finishing strip with light gray yarn also 4 rows, then 4 rows of dark gray and another finishing strip with light gray yarn.

Knitting a wedge for the thumb of the glove

The wedge of the thumb of the glove begins to be knitted immediately from the elastic band or after knitting several rows (1 - 2 cm) with the main viscous. We will start knitting the wedge immediately from the elastic.

On the right glove, the wedge is located at the beginning of the first knitting needle, on the left glove, at the end of the fourth knitting needle. Perform a wedge by adding loops. Let's start knitting with the right glove. Before the first loop on the first knitting needle, we make a yarn over, then we knit one loop with the front one and again we make a yarn over. Here and below, to illustrate the performance of some operations, we photographed a glove in a larger size than it actually is (made of blue yarn).

Starting the Thumb Wedge

We knit the next 3 rounds without additions. We make the second addition: before the first loop, yarn over, then knit 3 loops already, then yarn over. The following additions are performed every 3 rounds, while an odd number of loops will need to be knitted between the crochets: 1-3-5-7-9, etc.

When the height of the wedge reaches the base of the thumb (6 cm), we stop adding. In our case, the wedge had to be added after adding 13 loops. We knitted crochets without openwork and this is what we got:

Glove thumb wedge

If you want openwork finishing holes to form along the edges of the wedge, you need to knit yarns with openwork.

Now we will shoot the loops of the wedge on two pins: 6 and 7 loops each. Above them we collect 6 air loops: the same as is on one pin (it is better to dial an even number).

Glove Thumb Wedge: Air Loop Set

We knit one full circle, and then we start decreasing: we knit two loops together along the edges of the hole, until 1 loop remains from the wedge, and 13 loops again on the first needle.

Knitting a wedge for the thumb of the glove: decreasing loops

After that, we knit a glove to the base of the little finger (in our case, 3 more rows) and distribute the loops for knitting the fingers.

We divide the loops of the glove into 8 parts: 52: 8 = 6 loops and 4 loops in the remainder. For each finger - 2 parts: one for the upper half, the other for the lower. We distribute the remainder equally, attaching one loop to the loops of the upper halves. Now there are 13 loops for each finger. If the remainder is less than 4, then it is added to the loops of the fingers, starting with the index.

Then 2 more loops are attached to the loops of the index finger, subtracting them from the loops of the ring finger. We get: for the little finger - 13 loops, for the ring finger - 11 loops, for the middle finger - 13 loops, for the index finger - 15 loops. Next, we form bridges of 3-4 (in our case, 3) air loops between the fingers. We apply the result to the diagram and knit, focusing on it.

The scheme of distribution of loops when knitting a glove

Pinky hole

The loops of the little finger are located partly on the 2nd, partly on the 3rd knitting needle. We knit the loops of the 2nd knitting needle to the loops of the little finger and remove 6 loose loops on a pin. On another pin, we remove 7 loops from the 3rd knitting needle. After that, we collect 3 air loops on the 2nd knitting needle and then we knit the remaining loops on the 3rd knitting needle, we continue to knit in a circle 4-5 rows to the base of the index finger.

Now distribute the loops on the pins in accordance with the scheme:

little finger - 6 loops from the side of the palm and 7 loops from the back side;

ring finger, taking into account 3 loops of the jumper - 7 loops each;

middle finger - 6 loops from the side of the palm and 7 loops from the back side.

Index finger - 7 loops from the side of the palm and 8 loops from the back side are left on the knitting needles.

In general, the general rule is this: when distributing an odd number of loops, most of them fall on the back of the hand.

Distribution of loops for fingers

Knitting index finger

The loops of the index finger are located on the 1st and 4th knitting needles, a total of 15 loops. We knit 4 loops on the first knitting needle, then we introduce a new knitting needle, we knit the remaining 3 loops from the first knitting needle and we collect one air loop; then again we introduce a new knitting needle, we collect 2 air loops on it and we knit 3 more loops from the 4th knitting needle. We got 4 loops on the 1st and 2nd needles and 5 loops on the 3rd and 4th, for a total of 18 loops.

Start knitting the index finger

We knit a finger in a circle to the beginning of the nail or to its middle (if the nails are long) and complete the finger: at the beginning of the 1st and 3rd knitting needles and at the end of the 2nd and 4th we knit 2 loops together through a row. When 1-2 loops remain on the knitting needle, we tighten the loops with a needle or crochet hook, fasten and hide the end of the thread on the wrong side. Completion of the remaining fingers of the glove is performed in a similar way.

Finger Completion

Knitting the middle finger

There are 19 loops on the middle finger (13 loops from pins plus 3 loops from two jumpers). The loops from the pins intended for knitting the middle finger are transferred to two knitting needles. The needle facing the palm is conditionally called the first. We attach the thread from the ball and knit 4 loops from the first knitting needle; then we introduce a new knitting needle and knit the 2 remaining loops from the first knitting needle and throw 3 air loops for the jumper; then we take a new knitting needle and knit 5 loops from the second knitting needle; then again we take a new knitting needle and we knit the remaining 2 loops from the second knitting needle and we collect 3 loops from the jumper of the index finger. The loops were distributed as follows: 4 loops on one knitting needle and 5 loops on three knitting needles. Next, we knit the finger in the same way as the index finger: in a circle and then complete.

Knitting the ring finger

We transfer the loops from the pins intended for knitting the ring finger to the knitting needles. The knitting needle facing the palm, as well as when knitting the middle one, we will conditionally call the first one. We attach the thread from the ball and knit 4 loops from the first knitting needle; then we introduce a new knitting needle and we knit the 3 remaining loops from the 1st knitting needle and 1 loop from the second; then reintroduce the knitting needle and knit 4 loops from the second; then we knit the remaining 2 loops from the second knitting needle and pick up 3 loops from the jumper of the middle finger. The loops of the ring finger were distributed on 4 knitting needles: on three knitting needles, 4 loops each and on one knitting needle, 5 loops. Next, we knit the finger in the same way as the previous ones.

knitting little finger

We remove the loops from the pins on 2 knitting needles. Next, we distribute the loops similarly to the ring finger: it turns out 4 loops each, taking into account that we collect 3 loops from the jumper of the ring finger. Next, we knit and complete the finger in the same way as everyone else.

Thumb knitting

We transfer the loops from the pins to 2 knitting needles: on the right knitting needle we got 6 loops, on the left - 7. We attach the thread from the ball and knit 5 loops from the right knitting needle; then we introduce a new knitting needle, we knit 1 remaining loop from the right knitting needle and 4 loops from the left; reintroduce a new knitting needle and knit the remaining 3 loops from the left knitting needle and pick up 2 loops from the upper edge of the hole; then on a new knitting needle we collect 5 loops from the upper edge of the hole. It turned out for knitting the thumb, 5 loops on four knitting needles, a total of 20 loops. Next, we knit the finger in a circle and complete it, like everyone else.

left glove we knit in a mirror image, while we perform the wedge of the thumb on the 4th knitting needle: we knit all the loops except the last one, then we make a crochet, we knit the last loop and again the crochet, then we knit similarly to the right glove.

The gloves are ready.

Description of gloves:

Dial a chain of air loops equal in length to the circumference of the wrist (in my case 43 loops) + 1 cm for freely putting on a glove. Connect the chain into a ring with a connecting column and to start knitting the first row, make 3 air. lifting loops. Knit the first row. s / n and finish a series of connections. loop into the last loop of the lift. Next, to knit the second row, make 2 air. lifting loops and knit the elastic pattern, alternating convex and concave relief columns. Finish the series also conn. loop. Knit the next rows of rib in the same way as the second.

The cuff of the glove, knitted with an elastic band, can be of any width from 4 to 6 cm at your discretion. I have 4.5 cm. Then proceed to knitting the main part of the glove. Work the glove in single crochet in circular rows in a spiral, i.e. do not make lifting loops, then the seam of the initial loops of the row will not be visible.
For yourself, outline the sides of the glove where the thumb will be located, and where the little finger will be. After working 2-3 circular rows in single crochet on the side of the side of the thumb, start making additions to widen the wedge of the thumb. To do this, in the next 5-7 rows, add one column at a time, knitting two from one loop. When you knit in height to the base of the thumb, in the last row, without knitting 6-7 loops to the edge, cast on a chain of 8-9 air loops and fasten it into an arch through 12-14 loops of the previous row. Thus, a hole for the thumb is obtained, which is knitted last.

Next, knit the main part of the glove in circular rows to the beginning of the little finger. Do not break the main working thread, but after knitting it to the side of the thumb, pull out a large loop so that the knitting does not unravel. Before starting to knit the fingers of the glove, calculate the loops for each finger. You can identify them by trying on a glove and noticing the loops on the inside and outside.

To knit the little finger, attach the thread from the side of the palm, make 3-4 air. loops and attach the arch to the back of the glove. Next, knit in a circle columns to the height of the little finger. Toward the tip, decrease on both sides of the finger to narrow. When you knit your finger to the desired height, tie the last row with a “crustacean” step. Cut the thread, fasten it. Insert the needle into the remaining end of the thread and tuck it inside out.

If you examine your hand, you will see that the fingers are located at different heights - the first little finger is slightly higher than the index finger, and the middle and ring fingers are at the same level. Therefore, after knitting the little finger, return to knitting the main part of the glove. Taking the left thread into work, tie one circular row with columns along the inside of the arch at the base of the little finger and the outside of the glove. Now you can knit the ring finger. Attach a new thread to the inside, tie a chain of 4 air. loops and fasten the arch on the outside. Knit columns to the desired height - half a finger, if necessary, narrow it in the upper part, making reductions on the sides. Finish knitting in the same way as on the little finger.

Take the left thread of the main part back into work and knit one circular row through the arch of the ring finger. Next, attach the thread for knitting the middle finger. If you get a large finger hole at the base, then decrease in the corners by knitting two single crochets together.

Knit the index finger with the left thread from the main part of the glove. Attach the thread for knitting the thumb and knit in the round with columns, making decreases first in the corners, knitting two columns together until the hole is the same diameter as the finger. Next, knit it to a height and narrow it with single crochets.

The glove for the other hand is knitted in the same way, but in a mirror image.

For a cap, dial 4 air. loops, knit with single crochets on one side and on the other side of the chain of air loops. At the beginning and end of the chain, knit 3 single crochets in one loop. Thus, knit 10 rows. The diameter of the cap has increased enough, now you can knit without adding 10-12 rows to the desired cap size. in the last row we knit half of the loops with double crochets. We sew the cap in the place where the fingers begin, with the side that is finished with single crochets. At the top of the cap, we make a loop from a separate thread, sew a button on the mitten-glove in the right place. Ready.

The choice of materials for men's crochet mittens

The most practical and comfortable solution for summer gloves will be cotton thread. Among its main advantages: hygiene, naturalness, wear resistance. In addition, the thickness of the cotton thread provides high strength to the product, so gloves knitted from it are suitable even for fishing or outdoor activities. In addition, men's gloves made of such a thread will keep their shape well and will not rub or slip.

As for the leather, which is used as an additional material to enhance the strength of crocheted summer men's gloves, preference should be given to natural soft leather. Of course, you can also use an artificial substitute, but then you need to be prepared for the fact that the product will quickly lose its presentable appearance and require repair.

Crochet men's fingerless gloves - step by step instructions

The main part of the mitt

Important! Summer men's gloves should not be knitted very tightly, since a product made of cotton thread after washing can become rougher and begin to cause discomfort when worn.

Upper part of the glove

Before starting to knit the upper part of the glove, count the number of loops so that the finger holes are the same. You can also divide the total number of loops into four equal parts and then the holes for the fingers will be the same size.
