Will tell about the fate of a woman who. "Valentina" is a story about a woman's fate. Women's life stories. Isn't it amazing? This girl didn't seem pleased when this guy invited her to dance with him at a school party. She probably doesn't know

The train moved slowly, station buildings floated outside the window, now the narrow strip of the edge of the platform was left behind, suburban one-story houses flashed by - we are going on vacation. We, this is me and my teenage son, he, more precisely, is going on vacation. No, we are not to the southern seas, we have been there, but we survived only a week, crowded, boring. We are on a suburban train to the countryside to my parents, to places dear to our hearts, to a quiet river, to an oak grove outside the garden, to flowering dahlias, lovingly raised by my mother.

To the father's apiary, to haymaking, grazing cows, to swimming in the pond and other rural labors and entertainments. Nothing can erase the peasant essence, neither the urban way of life, nor the fashion for resort holidays, nor the habit of comfort in everyday life. Although, or maybe you don’t agree with me, I saw peisans giving odds to hereditary townspeople in an inexhaustible passion for resort recreation and entertainment, as if they were born in mansions, and not in squat huts under a thatched roof.

The train taps at the junctions of the rails, in the car opposite sit women-peasants, talking about vegetable gardens, crop failures for cucumbers. I like to listen to such conversations, unhurried, with a southern Russian accent, with local turns of speech, bearing in themselves the age-old peasant meaningfulness of everyday prose. Sitting next to me is a woman in a white shawl with a bandage, which, according to my mother, sets off a tanned face with white furrows around the eyes. The conversation turns to the city life of their children. The eldest of the women, short, neatly dressed, in cloth summer shoes with a toe, complains about the busyness of her daughter, who lives in the city.

The younger one loves soup, the older one loves borscht, serve only hot fish to your husband, the sons don’t eat it at all, but they love cutlets and pancakes with meat. Moreover, they have a dacha, of course, she is not working there alone, but women's hands have continued work even at home. Sitting opposite, brisk, with wavy hair pulled out from under a scarf, objected: “Now is it really difficult to cope with household chores? Even in our village everything is at hand: water, no need to heat the stove, there is gas, I don’t want to wash, if you go down to the cellar once a week, then it’s good, the refrigerator is nearby.

It was difficult to manage before, they carried water on rockers from under the mountain, and heated it in the stove. And they washed it with something, with a bar of soap, economically, so that it would last for a long time, not like now, a rash of powder, as much as you want, is sold in stores for every taste. “That’s how it seems to agree, the elderly, but not very often washed before. They slept side by side on the stove in winter, covered themselves with sheepskin coats, and in the summer in the hayloft. The trousers were worn out without washing. Look at how the children are now depicted (the local expression is well-groomed, which means) and pointing at my son, leading him into confusion, he did not know the meaning of this word. The grown-up girls, brides, washed, they also tidied up the hut. Who is smaller, runs away to the cellar, and everyone worked in the garden.

“I look,” the third one sitting next to me picked up the conversation, “the kids go to school, washed, ironed, shod in shoes, and we wore felt boots in winter in turn. Mother will cook cast-iron potatoes, with kvass for a sweet soul you will get it, and even get cabbage soup from the stove. Now you come to the store, they just don’t buy, but you need to cook from what you bought. My daughter-in-law will not put the family at the table without salads, here you have Olivier and some kind of cabbage brik .., brok .., she stumbled - (broccoli, I suggested) in mayonnaise, the guys love it hefty.

“My neighbor, a teacher, does not give up a curly-haired woman-pan – she bought a pressure cooker, you won’t have time to blink an eye, the meat is ready.

“Before, they saw meat on the Great Day, but on Trinity the mother would kill a rooster, and on other days she would put potatoes and cabbage on the table, in the summer there was still a glass of milk, that’s all the cooking,” added the woman who opened the topic of conversation. , every week, the mother started the kvass for the night, and now take it in the store as much as you want, her opponent continues, tucking her unruly hair under a scarf.

The train was slowing down as it approached the station. The fellow travelers began to gather, removed their luggage from the shelf, threw the bundled bags with city purchases on their shoulders and moved in single file to the exit, without drawing a conclusion from the conversation. I didn’t do it either, watching the village women, these hardworking workers, with eternal care for children and household. At all times, the female lot was not easy.

Vladlen Denisov. * The fate of a woman *. Story

He left her after 26 years of marriage.
He threw it easily, as if he shook off a glove from his hand, stepped over - and, without looking back, went on through life, easily crossing out the years lived together. He left her without help and support, and never - in anything and in anything - did not help her in these difficult years.
Until now, she could not forget everything and forgive him.
Her calm, happy, prosperous life ended.
A troubled time began: the beginning of the 90s of the outgoing twentieth century.
Everything has changed, collapsed in the life of the country, and in her life too.
She was left without a job, without a husband, without a livelihood after a major operation.
Unhappy thoughts circled in a round dance in her head while she was riding in the train to the dacha to her aunt. She wanted to pick green currant leaves to make tea with them instead of tea leaves.
The refrigerator was empty, there was no food in the house.
- It's good that I don't have small children, what should I do now? she thought. - I'll live somehow.
At the dacha, she mixed up her aunt's beds and plucked a young cucumber that she liked.
Suddenly, a punch to the face knocked her off her feet.
Enraged, from nowhere the man who took up his cucumber was ready to beat her with his feet. He took her for a thief, hunting in other people's gardens.
The aunt who jumped out of the house was barely able to pacify him.
Left without a husband and money, she tried several times to get a job. The defense enterprises that made some kind of devices for the military stopped. The women working on the conveyors were put out on the street. Somehow managed to get a job at a newsstand. We worked in shifts with my sister, who was also made redundant. They changed week after week, for 12 hours: from 7 to 19.
In winter, electricity was cut off, and there was a struggle for power in the city.
A windswept kiosk stood on the pier. Narrow, stuffed with newspapers and magazines, it seemed to her a cage in which, from dark to dark, she jumped like a “sparrow”, from foot to foot, so as not to freeze completely.
The first sister could not stand it: "You do as you wish, but I can no longer." They failed to finish until spring. Those with colds and sick people were simply fired. After all, there was a line of unemployed women for this job.
Finding no way out of the created difficult financial situation, she decided to try once again to arrange her fate. She advertised in the newspaper. Many responded. She chose one letter.
The man wrote that his wife left him while he served in "hot spots". The difficult fate of a stranger touched her, and she answered him. Much later, when they lived together, she learned that he was an ordinary criminal who had served eleven years for rape. He served his “hot spots” at a logging site somewhere in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Once in his "tenacious" hands, it was impossible to get rid of him. In this captivity with an unloved, hated, completely alien person, she lived for five years. Strange as it may seem, a rival who sought his attention helped get rid of him. She gladly gave him up, gave him the opportunity to possess desired man. In time, he will find out what he really is.

Now she is retired. A small pension gave her financial independence.
Having suffered, she just wanted a calm, comfortable life. Without any shock and love.
