Knitting a shirt-front and a children's hat. Knitted hat and shirt-front "frost". Raglan shirt

Caps-helmets with a bib. Selection The helmet is connected according to the basic description, the cape is according to the raglan principle. Basic description It took about 100 g of yarn, needles of two sizes (3.5 and 3). 1. Cast on circular needles No. 3 or 3.5 an even number of loops corresponding to the girth of the face (in my case, 98 loops) and knit with an elastic band 1x1 3-4 cm. 2. After the elastic band, knit 2 rows with front stitch. 3. That part of the loops that will be under the chin (in my example - 20 loops) is temporarily left (remove on a pin or auxiliary thread). The remaining loops (78) are again knitted with an elastic band, only not in a circle, but in the forward and reverse direction until we reach the required depth of the cap. 4. Next, we knit the back of the head with an elastic band, for this we will use the principle of knitting the heel of the sock: Divide the loops into 3 parts (if the number of loops is not divided by 3 equally, add the extra loops to the middle part). We knit the 1st and 2nd parts, while we knit the last loop of the middle part together with the front one with the first loop of the 3rd part (52 and 53). Turn the knit, slip a loop (53) and knit the middle part, knit the last loop of the middle part (26) together with the wrong side of the first loop of the 1st part (25). Turn the knitting again, remove the loop and knit the middle part, knit the last loop of the middle with the first loop of the 3rd part together with the front. Turn knitting again, etc. Knit like this until only the loops of the middle part remain. 5. To continue knitting, you need to dial the loops on the sides of the cap and turn on the loops for the chin, which we left earlier. In this case, the total number of loops should be less than the original one (in my example - 88 loops, instead of the original 98). We turn again to circular knitting needles (it is advisable to take knitting needles half a number thinner, No. 3, for example) and knit with an elastic band 1 * 1 in a circle of 5-6 cm (neck height), for a very small child, the height may be less, 3-4 see 6. Continue knitting on thicker circular needles (3.5). We expand the cape by adding 5-6 loops through a row in the wrong lanes until the desired width of the cape is reached (I ended up with 174 loops, that is, the elastic was no longer 1 * 1 but 1 * 2 - 1 front and 2 purl). After that, knit a few more rows without increments, then close all the loops. The cape can also be knitted in a different way, expanding it according to the raglan knitting principle: we divide the number of loops (neck circumference) into 3 parts (1 part for the front and back and 1 part for the shoulders). If it is not divided equally by 3, we add the “extra” loops to the front loops. Subtract 4 loops from the “shoulder” loops (these will be raglan lines). We knit these raglan lines with purl loops, and on both sides of them in each 2nd row we make crochets (in the next row we knit the crochets purl or purl crossed, in this case the holes from the crochets will be smaller). We add loops in this way until the desired width of the cape is reached. Then knit a few rows without increments in garter stitch and close all the loops.

Size: for a child 12-18 months.

Materials:

  • gray yarn (50% wool, 50% acrylic, 300 m / 100 g) 200 g,
  • for finishing black yarn 2-3 m,
  • straight and circular (5 pieces for knitting socks) knitting needles No. 3,
  • medium-thick needle for embroidery with a large eye.

Elastic band 2 on 2: in circular rows knit alternately 2 persons. p., 2 out. P.

Garter stitch: front and back rows - out. P.

egg smooth: front rows - persons. p., purl rows - out. n. In circular rows, all loops are facial.

Tie cord: on knitting needles for circular knitting, dial 3-4 sts and knit with facial loops. After knitting them, move all the loops to the other edge of the knitting needle and continue to knit with facial ones. So each time after knitting all the loops of the row, move them to the other edge of the knitting needle and knit with facial ones.

A cap:

Cast on 128 sts on straight needles and knit 6 rows in garter stitch. Then divide all the loops into 3 equal parts of 42 sts each (not including the edge ones). At the beginning of the first part, after the hem, knit 2 sts from the first loop, then knit 19 sts with the front stitch, * 3 sts together with the front (the 1st and 2nd loops are interchanged, the 2nd loop is on top), 19 p. knit with stockinette stitch, knit 3 sts from one loop (1 person. p., yarn over, 1 person. p.), 19 p. , 19 p. knit with front stitch, knit 2 p., 1 chrome from one loop. p. Knit in this way 18 cm (see pattern). Further, to form the bottom, in the places where the loops are decreased, continue decreasing, in the places where the loops are added, also make decreases (knit 3 sts together, on both sides after and before the hem, knit 2 sts together. When about 12 sts remain on the needles, cut the working thread, leaving a piece about 50 cm long. Collect the remaining loops for cutting, pull tight and fasten off. Sew a cap. Sew cords about 20 cm long to the side corners of the cap. For the "nose" and "ears" with black yarn, embroider with random stitches , guided by the photo.

Bib:

On the knitting needles for circular knitting, dial 80 p. And knit the collar with an elastic band 2 by 2. At a height of 14 cm from the typesetting edge, to form an expanding chest part of the front, divide all the loops into 4 parts of 18 p. each. For the separation line of each part, mark 2 sts. To expand the bib on both sides of the dividing loops, add 1 st in each 2nd row (knit a loop from a crossed broach between the loops). At a height of 5 cm from the bottom of the collar to lengthen the back of the shirtfront, knit in short rows. To do this, the side (shoulder) parts are conditionally divided into 3 equal parts: the middle part is left and temporarily does not participate in knitting, the side parts make up the back and front. Then knit in straight and reverse rows, first the back, then the chest, continuing to make additions on both sides of the separating loops. On the back, every 4th double (front and back) row is shortened by 1 p. When the height of the back from the edge of the collar reaches about 14 cm, transfer all loops to additional knitting needles or a contrasting thread and set aside. Knit the chest part in the same way. Then transfer all loops to circular needles, knit 6 rows of garter stitch and cast off all loops.

Mittens:

On the knitting needles for circular knitting, dial 60 p., Distribute all the loops on 4 knitting needles, 15 p. For each knitting needle (the loops of the 1st and 2nd knitting needles make up the back side, the loops of the 3rd and 4th knitting needles are the palm) and knit 6 rows with an elastic band 2 by 2. Then knit with front stitch. At a height of 6 cm from the cast-on edge, to form a thumb, on both sides of the last loop on the 2nd knitting needle in each 2nd row, add 1 st 6 times, then transfer all 13 sts of the finger to a pin and set aside. In the next row, instead of the postponed loops, dial 1 p. And continue to knit in circular rows with the front stitch. At a height of 5 cm from the finger, to form a cape of mittens, in each row knit the first loop on the 1st knitting needle, knit the next 2 sts together with a slope to the right, then knit with the front satin stitch, knit the last 3 sts on the 2nd knitting needle 2 p. together with a slope to the left, 1 person. p., on the 3rd knitting needle as on the 1st, on the 4th knit as on the 2nd. When 4 stitches remain on the needles, knit all the loops 2 together, cut the working thread, leaving a segment about 3-5 cm long. Pull the cut through the remaining 2 stitches into the inside of the mittens and fasten. For the thumb, along the edge of the newly typed loop (instead of the postponed stitches), cast on one loop, transfer the delayed loops to 3 working knitting needles (14 stitches in total) and knit with the front stitch. At a height of 3 cm, knit the last 2 sts on each needle together until 2-3 sts remain and fasten them like on the toe of a mitten. Connect the mittens with a cord about 55 cm long. Embroider the “nose” and “ears”, guided by the photo.

I tried to tie a “neck” or “collar” many times. I knitted the first copies, relying only on my imagination, you can wear them, but it’s even a shame to show a photo here :-). I chose the penultimate option too complicated - with a pattern, I knitted strictly according to the instructions, but I didn’t calculate the loops at the very beginning, as a result, the shirt-front turned out to be quite small. Only from the third approach did I get something more or less decent. I chose the simplest method - I knitted a shirt-front on circular knitting needles with raglan lines. I didn’t make any patterns on purpose so as not to get confused. Now that I have already understood the pattern of knitting a shirt-front, it will be possible to experiment with the pattern, then I will definitely share the results. In the meantime, I present to the readers a shirt-front with raglan for a child of two or three years.

How to tie a detachable collar for a child

For work I needed:

  • acrylic threads of two colors (one skein of each),
  • circular needles,
  • hook for edging the finished product.

Threads must be chosen with a small content of wool or pure acrylic, otherwise the mantle will be very prickly. My acrylic threads were very thin, so I knitted in two threads. To make the product not completely boring, I decided to knit in stripes, alternating white and blue colors.

To get started you need determine the number of loops. To do this, you need to make simple mathematical calculations or use the method for the lazy, as I did :-). If you have a finished product knitted from similar threads on knitting needles of the same size, for example, it can be a scarf, then you can estimate it to your head, slightly stretching it, mark the circumference of your head, and then count how many loops are included in this value . For example, I got 68 loops, that's how much I scored for a shirt-front for a child for 2.5 years.

If there is no knitted thing on which you can count the loops, then simple mathematical calculations will come to our aid. To do this, we need to measure the circumference of the child's head, you can take the value from the table below. And knit a small sample square using the same knitting needles and threads that are intended for the shirtfront.

We stretch the knitted sample a little and note how many loops fit in 5 cm (you can take another length). I have 7 loops in 5 cm. We count how many loops in one cm:

7: 5 = 1.4 loops - in 1 cm

We learn the density of knitting (in 5 cm 7 loops)

My son's head circumference is 50cm, so to find out the number of loops needed for this size, you need:

1.4 * 50 = 70 loops.

My “lazy” calculations differ from the exact ones by 2 loops, I think the difference is not very significant. If I had scored 70 loops instead of 68, the shirt-front would not have become much larger.

So, we figured out the quantity. We collect loops on the knitting needles and knit with an elastic band 2 * 2 (two faces., two out.). You can knit in the round on five knitting needles, like an elastic band, or you can knit with circular knitting needles. I chose the latter option, somehow circular knitting needles are more to my liking.

We knit an elastic band - 2 persons., 2 out.

We knit about 14 - 15 cm so that the collar is with a collar. Then we start knitting raglan. To do this, you need to divide the loops into 4 parts. Two parts are front and back, and the other two parts are hangers.

On the shoulders - 11 loops,

On the back and front - 23 each.

As you can see, there are half as many loops on the shoulders as on the front and back.

Now we need to mark the extreme loops, I do this with a contrasting thread. We count 11 loops - we mark with a thread, then 23 loops - again a thread, again 11 - a thread, and the last 23 loops - a thread. The photo below shows how this is done. As a result, we should have 4 marks on the product.

Now we continue to knit with front stitch, and having reached the marked loops, we add 2 loops in each front row - one before the marked loop, the other after it. You can add by making a crochet, or by pulling out a loop, as I did (see photo below).

To add a loop in each front row, bring the knitting needle under the thread ... ... pick up the thread ...
...and pull out the loop

We knit in this way 9-10 cm, after which we close the shoulders and back. Before we continue to knit, decreasing two sang at the beginning and at the end of each front row (we decrease after the edge loop). When its length reaches 15-16 cm, you can also close the loops.

If you knitted on circular needles, then the product needs to be sewn. In principle, this work can be completed, but I wanted to decorate the edges of the shirtfront a little. To do this, I crocheted them according to a very simple pattern. By the way, if you crochet, the edges will not twist. If you do not own a crochet, then you can knit the last 5-6 rows with an elastic band, only you need to do this both on the back and shoulders closed earlier, and on the front.

…behind
This is how the collar sits on my Miroslav

Here's what happened in the end. On my boy - just right! Our height is 94 cm, age 2.5 years.

Continuation…

P.S.: This year I decided to knit a new shirt-front for my son ( now we are 3 years and 3 months old, height 100 cm), and since the old one was still fit, without hesitation she scored 68 loops. Knitted with the same circular needles. But after knitting a few rows, I realized that it turns out to be very large. The fact is that I knitted with other threads - yarn "Children's novelty", in composition it is also made of acrylic, but not fluffy and not prickly at all. The thread turned out to be thicker, so the elastic turned out to be wider. I loosened everything connected and scored 10 loops less - 58 loops. Knitted in two strands. That is why it is very important to pre-calculate the required number of loops, because the threads are different for everyone, and the knitting density too.

Bib for 3-4 years (height 100 cm) Yarn "Children's novelty", in two threads I scored 58 loops

Yarn consumption per shirt-front - two skeins of 50 grams (200 meters each), however, it took a little more yarn to crochet - she let in the third hank, but very little was used up from it.

These are the threads I used - "Children's novelty"
It took 2 skeins for the shirtfront itself, I had to start the third for crocheting Shirt length for 3-4 years in front - 37 cm Width - 34 cm Back length - 35 cm

This time I decided to tie a more authentic back. To do this, after closing the shoulder loops, I transferred the back loops to the auxiliary knitting needle. I knitted to the desired length in front, and then returned to the back and knitted it. I tied the edges of the shirt-front with a crochet in the same pattern as the first option.

Hello dear friends!

If you are interested in the question of how to knit a shirt-front with knitting needles for a child, then you have come to the right place. The shirt-front, which I knitted for my granddaughter in addition to, she wears with great pleasure and, I think, carries it for more than one year.

Zlatochka herself asked to tie her shirt-front. Seeing how her grandfather was trying on, she looked plaintively at me and said: “Will you tie me this one? ..” How can you refuse!

For knitting a shirt-front, I decided to use the threads from which the pompom of the hat was made, so that these two gizmos could be combined with each other.

I bought yarn for knitting a shirtfront a long time ago - this is a sectional Turkish Kramer yarn of the KARTOPU brand, I don’t even know if it is on sale now, and a Turkish yarn of Sal Sim of the ALIZE brand with a shiny thread (metallic).

I think it will not be difficult to pick up a warm and soft bulky yarn for a shirt-front now.

Children's shirt-front knitting

At first I thought about knitting the shirt-front with an Elastic band 1 x 1, like a hat, but the knitting didn’t impress me - it didn’t look very good in contrast to a large knitted hat ... But then I remembered about, which is not as voluminous and loose as an English elastic band, and this version of me arranged.

Knitting needles for knitting shirt-fronts need circular or hosiery No. 5, for a typesetting row - No. 6.

So, on knitting needles No. 6 (to slightly expand the edge of the golf collar), we collect 48 loops, distribute them on stocking knitting needles No. 5, connect them in a circle and knit:

  • 1st circular row: * 1 facial, 1 purl *;
  • 2nd circular row: *yarn, 1 remove, purl 1*;
  • 3rd circular row: * with the front loop we knit the yarn over with the removed loop of the previous row, purl 1 *.

To make the shirt collar fit better to the neck, I decided to knit the inside of it with the usual “Rib 1 x 1”, evenly adding 12 loops to this elastic band (every 4 loops), 60 loops on the needles.

Having knitted 5 cm with this elastic band, we knit one circular row with facial loops. In it, we evenly add another 12 loops (every 4 loops), as a result we get 72 loops.

If the child’s shoulders are wider (for a boy, for example), 20 loops can be evenly added (every 3 loops).

At the end of the same front row, we turn to the wrong side, since the sides of the semi-patent ("Pearl") gum have different patterns. The turn is done like this:

  • after knitting the last loop of the circular row, we transfer the 1st loop of the new row to the right knitting needle,
  • after it, we transfer the working thread to the front side, as if making a bookmark,
  • then again we return the loop from the right knitting needle to the left,
  • we unfold the product on the wrong side and begin to knit with a semi-patent elastic band,
  • at the end of the circular row with the right knitting needle, we hook the loop formed by the working thread and knit it together with the last loop of the wrong side.

Having knitted 6 cm, we proceed to the partial closing of the shirt front loops: we knit 48 loops with a semi-patent elastic band, then we close the last 24 loops of the row and 24 loops of the new circular row.

The remaining 24 loops of the front of the shirt-front will be closed gradually to get a corner that covers the chest and creates the appearance of a sweater when the outer clothing is partially unbuttoned.

To do this, at the end of each row, we knit the penultimate and last (edge) loops together with the front. Continue doing this until there are 3 stitches left on the needle. We close them like this:

  • as when knitting the front, we remove 2 loops together, we knit the next loop with the front one and stretch it through 2 removed loops, thread the tail of the working thread through this loop and tighten.

It remains to complete the fringe. To do this, cut pieces of thread 15 cm long and put them two together.

We take two segments, bend in half and attach to the edge of the shirt-front with a hook as shown in the figure for making brushes. I attached the brushes through one loop.

Here is such a simple, but pretty shirt-front, I got in touch in two days (it could have been faster, but ... worldly affairs). Complete with a hat (especially with her pompom) looks great!

Now you also know how to knit a shirt-front for a child. It is worth starting to knit and the description will no longer seem so complicated and incomprehensible. Anyway, you can always ask something in the comments under the article, I will always answer!

P.S. Today was the first day of Zlatina's classes (she is 3.5 years old) in aesthetic gymnastics (until recently, I did not even know that such a thing exists). She felt like a fish in water!

The trainer (a girl of about 20 years old) said that our girl is quite suitable for gymnastics - flexible and plastic. Well, boom to see how long it lasts - so far I liked everything ...

Well, I'm waiting for your comments, dear! And I will be very grateful if you express your opinion!

Finally, I want to offer you a video description of another shirt-front for a child of 4-5 years old from a wonderful craftswoman, mother of three sons, Anna Kirilova.

Fall is here, which means it's time to warm up. How nice to remember the warmth of knitted things that we got from mothers and grandmothers! This article will help you knit a beautiful and comfortable shirt-front, which will give warmth and comfort to its owner. And new ways of knitting will help to make a shirt-front in a modern way.

How to knit a shirt front for beginners: basic rules

If you have recently taken up needlework, then here are some tips that will allow you to knit a shirt-front without much difficulty:

  1. The shirt is always knitted from top to bottom.
  2. It is best to knit the neck with stocking needles, so the shirt-front will not have seams and joints.
  3. Don't knit too loosely - after several fittings and washings, the shirt-front may lose its original shape.
  4. The quality of the product depends on the quality of the yarn. Get natural threads with the addition of synthetic fibers, because of this, the shirtfront will not wear out much.
  5. Despite the knitting patterns, the shirt-front should consist of: a neck, a back, a front and two coat hangers.

How to knit a shirt-front with knitting needles: step by step instructions

This shirt is knitted on two needles and then sewn into a single fabric.

Depending on the thickness of the yarn, you need to correctly calculate the number of loops. For example, a fairly thick yarn is chosen, it contains an equal amount of wool and acrylic. Therefore, the shirt-front will turn out warm and pleasant to the touch.

It is best to choose woolen threads with impurities of other fibers, otherwise the product will turn out to be prickly and will scratch the skin.

  • Cast on sts for the neckline and work in rib 2x2 to the measured neck height.

  • Next, knit a couple of rows of purl loops, this will be the place where the neck of the shirt-front is folded.

  • Knit the same number of rows with a double rubber band as before the fold. Add two or three more rows with this knitting.

  • The next step is knitting the “breast” of the shirt-front. It will have the form of a raglan with additions.
  • Divide the number of loops on the needles into four parts. The front and back will take up more loops, and the shoulders will turn out smaller. The shirt front will be made with facial loops.

Increase the front rows - odd, purl - even knit without changes.

The first loop is always removed, and the last one is purl.

The essence of the increase is to knit an increase at the beginning and at the end of each section of the shirtfront, separating them with two facial loops.

  • First row: knit half of the back, make 1 approx. in the last loop, then 2 persons., 1 inc. at the beginning and at the end of the shoulder, 2 persons, 1 inc., thoracic region, 1 inc, 2 persons. In the same way, repeat the knitting of the second shoulder and the second half of the back.
  • Second row: all purl loops.
  • All subsequent front rows are knitted like the first. Increases are made in the same places, they need to be separated by two facial loops. After a few rows, the diagonals with additions will be clearly visible.

  • Knit this shirt to the desired length.
  • You can close all the loops at the same time, then both the back and front parts will be the same. And you can start to close the loops in stages, reducing each front row on the back of 5-15 rows. So there is a smooth transition, the back is shorter, the brisket is the longest part.
  • To prevent the shirtfront from twisting at the bottom, knit the last rows with another viscous: garter, or hosiery.

How to tie a beautiful shirt-front: simple ways with a description

How to tie a shirt-front with an elastic band?

The shirtfront is knitted with an elastic band 1x1. Depending on the thickness of the threads and knitting needles, the product may turn out to be denser or looser. Therefore, the ratio of the number of loops in the description will be relative, tie a test sample to determine the correct counts.

And here is the description itself:

The expansion of the size of the shirt front from the neck to the chest part is carried out by knitting increases for the front and back walls of the loops.

For beginner knitters, a diagram of the correct execution of the gum is given:

How to tie a shirt-front with an English rubber band?

The fluffy English rib is very similar to the 1x1 rib. The difference is that the first one looks more airy and voluminous. The product associated with it looks the same from the front and from the wrong side. While in a regular elastic band, purl loops are woven in place of the front loops, if you look from the inside.

This shirt-front is very easy to perform, and knitting with an English rubber band will allow it to be as pleasant to the touch as possible.

  • To start tie a scarf of the desired length . Dial, for example, 38 loops, plus 2 edge.
  • Once you get the right length, close part of the loops, and the remaining 16 keep knitting , forming a square. This will be a strap that will decorate the collar of the shirtfront.

  • Fold the knitting in such a way that a corner forms in the chest area on the shirt-front.
  • Sew the parts of the scarf as in the photo.
  • To the whip sew on a button , simultaneously fixing it to the knitting itself. This is a part of the decor that can be replaced in any way.

Bib "Leaves", knitted

A shirt-front is not only a comfortable, warm thing, it can also be a very beautiful piece of clothing. Just in time for the autumn mood, you can knit such an openwork little thing with a pattern in the form of leaves.

Dial an even number of loops for the neck and knit with a regular elastic band 2x2. You can knit it longer and bend it. Knit the pattern according to the pattern.

Here is a detailed description of the knitting of each row in addition to the scheme. At the very end, crochet the shirt-front in this way:

See what a variety of shirt-fronts weave leather with knitting needles with the Leaf pattern. It can be monophonic or multi-color, more openwork or dense. In any case, such manual work will not leave anyone indifferent.

For those who, before starting work, need a clear example of knitting a shirt-front:

Raglan shirt

  • Everything is knitted as easy as shelling pears. Get a set of double knitting needles and matching yarn. .
  • Pick up loops for the neck and knit with double ribbing . If you want the neck to tuck in, like on sweaters, then knit it longer.
  • Next, distribute the loops so that the front and back are larger and have the same number of loops, and the shoulders are smaller (about ten loops). Also leave one loop for each raglan, and there will be four of them.

  • All the shirt-front will be made with facial loops . And make increments one row at a time before and after raglan loops .
  • Knit several rows like this. When the width of the shirt-front is slightly less than the width of the shoulder, then you need to stop.
  • Finish knitting the back and shoulders by closing the loops.
  • "Breast" continue to knit, decreasing one loop on each side. Decrease through the row.
  • When the front is the desired length, finish knitting, and crochet the edges of the shirtfront.

How to knit a shirtfront with a button closure?

  • Knit a neckline equal to the girth of the neck with voluminous double crochets.
  • Attach the thread along the side edge and knit with a pattern, as shown in scheme 1.
  • Beautifully decorate the edges of the shirtfront , on the right, knit a row of single crochets, and then double crochets.
  • Do the left edge in the same way, only follow the second step scheme 2 . These will be the buttonholes.
  • Sew on buttons to the shirtfront.

How to knit a baby shirt-front for a child with knitting needles: a detailed description

It is better to see an example of a children's shirt once, and then try to bring it to life with your own hands.

Knitted shirt for a girl

  • For two spokes cast on an even number of stitches divided into three parts. Plus for raglan, select four loops.
  • Single or double elastic band tie a long neck so that it folds in half.
  • All knitting will be done with facial loops in front, and purl if turned inside out.

  • Divide the back in knitting into two parts , the total number of "details" will be five.
  • Yarn over before and after raglan (and there are four of them).
  • Knitted to desired length close loops , decorate the free edge with crochet.

How to knit a shirt collar for a boy?

  • This version of the shirt-front is suitable even for beginners, it is very simple. The shirt will be crocheted.
  • Cast on a number of loops equal to the length of the boy's neck. Knit the neck with an elastic band with half crochets , inserting the hook behind the back wall of the loop. More details are shown in the picture.

  • Having connected the required number of rows, crochet the ends of the fabric, forming a neck. Do not cut the thread.
  • Just carefully try on the knitted fabric, it should not compress or dangle too loosely around the neck.
  • Next, knit a row of single crochets, inserting a hook into the edge of each row of the neck . In this way, the shirt-front itself begins to be tied out of the elastic band.
  • The number of loops must be a multiple of 4 , if that did not work out, then you can make an increase.
  • All subsequent rows are knit with double crochets.
  • Divide the loops into four parts: back, chest, shoulders, and mark with paper clips.
  • From the loops where the separators are, knit two double crochets.
  • Repeat knitting to the required shoulder width.
  • Front knit two more rows double crochets.
  • So that such a shirtfront does not look monotonous and insipid - decorate it with an applique .

How to knit a baby hat with a shirt front?

  • Hat knitted with two needles and then stitched together with an almost invisible seam.
  • Cast on loops and knit with a single elastic band to the desired height .
  • Then start making cuts : remove the edge, and to the end of the row, knit two front loops together, the last loop is wrong.
  • Next row: Purl all stitches.
  • On the front side, repeat the reductions as mentioned earlier.
  • 10-15 loops should remain on the needle (depending on the thickness of the cap).
  • Cut the thread from the common skein and crochet through the remaining loops, pull off your hat.
  • next step sew two sides of the hat in one of the ways below.
  • The crown should be a little collected , so the pompom will look most spectacular.

Methods for connecting a knitted fabric from the front and back sides:

  • Make a pom-pom on two cardboard rings with round holes inside .
  • Put these circles together and continue to wind the thread around it through the center hole until it is filled.
  • Along the outer edge cut the thread on the skein with a blade between two cardboard circles.
  • The gap between these cartons wrap the thread tightly and tie it . Do not cut the ends of this thread, then the pompom will be attached to the hat on them.
  • Remove cardboard mugs and get a wonderful fluffy pom-pom.
  • scissors cut off excess length of thread with a pompom under one level.

Knit the front on stocking needles, distribute the loops and knit in a circle. The pattern itself is as follows:

  • Knit the desired neck height , this will be its outer part.
  • Knit the inside of the neck with a regular single elastic band. , so the product will fit more snugly around the child's neck.
  • Going to an elastic band 1x1, every 4-6 loops make additions of new loops, as a regular single elastic band looks narrower.
  • When you finish knitting the neck - knit the whole row , also making increases through 4-6 loops. These are increases to achieve the desired width at the shoulders.
  • Now the knitting needs to be unfolded and knitted on both sides.(This is required by the pattern).

When you finish the row, move the knit to the right needle. Pull the thread to the front side. Return the working yarn to the left needle. Knit pearl elastic from the inside. At the end of the row, hook the loop with the working thread with the right knitting needle, and end the row with it with the wrong loop.

  • Knit the length of the shirt-front 5-7 cm and proceed to the gradual closing of the loops .
  • Close the back first , and before reduce gradually.
  • In every row knit the last two stitches until there are three loops left on the needle. Close them by stretching one loop through two, and then the last through the penultimate one.
  • From pieces of thread make a fringe as shown in the picture.

How to knit a shirt-front for a woman with knitting needles: a master class

You can knit such a shirt-front with shortened rows for your beloved, mother, girlfriend, or just as a gift for a good person. The bottom line is knitting additional short rows between the main rows of the product. The shirt-front can be made in a single color, but in order to make the course of action the most understandable, an example of knitting in two colors is given.

  • 1 step : Work two full rows.

  • 2 step : Pull a thread of a different color through the edge and put it on the left knitting needle. On the needle, all the loops are of the same color, and the hem is of another. Tighten the old edge so that there are no holes in the shirtfront.

3 step : Remove a new edge and knit 8-10 loops in a different color, pull the working thread behind the next loop, as shown in the photo, and unfold the knitting.

4 step: Work 8-10 sts in reverse order to form a short row.

5 step: Enter the thread of the main color into work, knit a row with it in one direction and the other.

So knit the shirt-front either in long or in short rows, periodically turning the knitting over.

This is how the shirt-front should look in the process of knitting:

To make the edge of the product look more neat, try to knit threads of two colors as tightly and evenly as possible.

And this is a fully completed product, ready to wear:
