1. Buy a large T-shirt - 1-2-3 sizes larger than your usual size. If you are within the normal range, 1-2 sizes will be enough, but if you are a thick person, look for a t-shirt 3-4 sizes larger (look at specific circumstances), as you need it to sit really loose. Before you start working on your costume, wash your T-shirt without fail - this will make it easier for you to create a costume.

2. Organize a large cross on a white T-shirt. As an option - a cross on the form of a coat of arms. It all depends on your availability of time, desire and strength. You can also use indelible / waterproof markers or paints on fabric (but there is still a chance that a cross can “leak” from a cocktail spilled on itself). Or - which is better - take a large piece of red, or gray, or silver, or other suitable colors of felt / felt (depending on which knight of which order you will be) and transfer the outline of the cross to it with a pencil. Take the outline itself from the Internet, because knightly crosses were not just crossed sticks, and an Orthodox cross from a chain, as a prototype, is also unlikely to suit you. After you have drawn the desired shape, use your scissors and cut out the cross. If you have a lot of time and a great desire, cut out a cross and an outline for it from pieces of felt of different colors (see picture).

3. Glue or sew a cross to the front of the T-shirt: just lay the T-shirt on the table, flatten and press down on the corners with something really heavy, and then choose where the cross will be placed. 4. Next you need to choose a pair of black trousers to complete the costume. Pants must be narrow, because they were worn during the time of the knights, but not too tight. Buy a wide base belt a couple of sizes larger than your waist measurement. With a large, coarse buckle. If funds allow - leather, if not, from any material that can visually pass for non-shiny smooth skin. On it at long distances, sew large themed (or just rough) badges / medals (you can buy inexpensively in biker stores and in stores selling handicrafts made of leather). 6. Optional.

Tie up with a belt, and also let the smaller part of the fabric hanging from the back under the belt.
