Dear expectant mothers, for sure you often face the question of where is the best place to spend time and relax comfortably during pregnancy. After all, you really want to get as many positive emotions as possible, bask in the sun and pamper yourself and your future baby with fruits and vegetables, delicious dishes. The question is difficult and delicate. Now we will try to help you decide on the choice of a vacation spot.

Is it possible to fly on a plane while pregnant?

First of all, before planning a trip, you should definitely consult with your doctor. If the pregnancy is normal, and there are no threats or contraindications, then you can safely prepare for the trip.

Complications can be as follows:

  • Violations of the formation of the placenta. In the event that the placenta is located low (the area of \u200b\u200bthe internal pharynx of the cervix), then even minimal loads increase the risk of bleeding and create the possibility of miscarriage.
  • . In this case, the pregnant woman develops swelling on the arms and legs, puffiness of the face, and increased blood pressure. In this situation, it is not recommended to go on vacation. You need to go to the hospital for treatment.
  • Exacerbation of allergic reactions and chronic diseases
  • The existence of a threat of termination of pregnancy.

The most suitable period for a vacation trip is the first and second trimesters of pregnancy. If you have no contraindications, then no difficulty in this period should not occur. However, if your pregnancy is more than 30 weeks, then doctors recommend not taking risks and leaving thoughts of distant rest. Even with minor complications, long trips are prohibited.

But even if you have such a problem, do not despair. A wonderful place for a pregnant woman to relax are sanatoriums, doubly wonderful if they are specialized for expectant mothers.

It would be nice if the sanatorium you chose was close to the hospital and your home. It is not necessary to go somewhere to the south or to distant lands. The main condition for rest is clean air and a peaceful and favorable environment.

Remember that no matter how long you are, do not be left unattended. There must be a person near you who can provide first aid if necessary.

In addition, it must be remembered that women are admitted to the sanatorium up to 32 weeks of pregnancy. By the way, there are many in Russia.

Where to go on a pregnant trip?

And if (hooray!) the doctor allowed me to go somewhere far away from my native places? Where to go? On what? Where is better? What to bring?

Stop. Now you need to concentrate and think carefully about all the details of the trip, so that later you can enjoy it to the fullest.

So.

  • Worth it right away exclude mountainous areas and regions . Why? At high altitudes, the air is very rarefied, which can cause you to lack oxygen. In addition, it must be remembered that pregnant women are very sensitive to changing time zones and climate, so the period of getting used to new conditions becomes quite long.
  • try plan your trip not at the height of the holiday season! This time is not very suitable for rest. future mother in prestigious resorts. During this period, hotels are usually overcrowded. Music is blaring everywhere. Noisy crowds of tourists and vacationers roam the streets and embankments, flight delays are becoming more frequent, and you can lose yourself at the airport. Moreover, if you decide to go south, then at the height of the holiday season, the heat here is unbearable. Consequently, the off-season is beneficial not only by lowering the number of tourists, but also by reduced prices. Therefore, you can easily afford a high-level hotel.
  • Take care of choosing a place to stay in advance so that you do not have to travel an extra few tens of kilometers from the airport to the hotel. Why do you need extra travel time?
  • When choosing a place to stay clearly understand where one hundred percent not option set off so it's in the bus tour. So postpone the pink dream of Rome, Paris and Venice for later.
  • According to climatic conditions The countries of Europe and Asia are considered the most favorable for the rest of expectant mothers. The main advantage of such trips is a short flight, and, consequently, a small burden for you and your baby. It will be better if you choose a place at a distance of no more than three to four hours of flight. Do not rush to countries with a subtropical and tropical climate. To travel there, special preventive vaccinations are needed, which are contraindicated for pregnant women. And the aggressive sun will not do you any good. Therefore, it will be best for you to rest in countries with climatic conditions close to ours, as well as in countries with a mild continental climate. Here is a list of places and countries most suitable for expectant mothers:
  1. Bulgaria
  2. Croatia
  3. Spain
  4. Switzerland
  5. Mediterranean coast
  6. Turkey
  7. Greece
  • Dry climate Crimea much more favorable for expectant mothers than, for example, the humid climate of the Caucasus. Here you can always find a calm and comfortable place to relax. We also advise you to pay attention to the Mediterranean Sea. A lot of expectant mothers go to its coast from Europe to rest. You, too, will undoubtedly enjoy walks along the coast, fresh air, salubrious climate and free hotels.
  • coasts Turkey, Cyprus, Greece and its many islands are also perfect for a pregnant trip. It is worth noting that even in winter orange trees bloom in Cyprus, the temperature reaches 25 degrees and the tables are simply bursting with an abundance of fruits, vegetables and dairy products.

Reviews from the forums from pregnant women who have traveled:

We think you will be interested to know about the impressions of young mothers from such trips:

Faith:

If your doctor permits, I would highly recommend Croatia or Montenegro. Firstly, the flight there is very short, and secondly, there is the sea, and sand, and pines ... The air is just a miracle!

Anastasia:

I report: I returned from vacation over the weekend. I went to Evpatoria in the Crimea. Rested from 18 to 20 weeks of pregnancy. I sunbathed under an umbrella, swam, ate fruit, in general, I felt great! We had a great time and returned home tanned, joyful and rested!

Marina:

Recently, the whole family went to the Crimea, rested near Yalta. This is great! At first, my condition was not very good - toxicosis, my legs were swollen, depression was crushing ... But on vacation I forgot about all this. Before lunch I did not get out of the sea, and after lunch I walked until late in the evening. Slept like the dead at night. Felt amazing in the morning. I didn't feel pregnant at all. Only the kid did not let himself be forgotten. In general, I am delighted. Although I was very afraid to go, because they were driving a car. But even this move was very well tolerated.

Anna:

In Crimea, there are excellent sanatoriums for expectant mothers - in Evpatoria, Yalta. There are gymnastics for pregnant women, and psychological preparation and much more. In Evpatoria, of course, the prices are democratic, in Yalta it will be more expensive.

Elena:

Turkey is the best option. You just need to choose quiet family hotels with good service. There are a lot of beautiful hotels, a lot of greenery, swimming pools, good food in hotels and service.

Olga:

Much depends on the duration of pregnancy and your condition. In September we rested in northern Greece. Wonderful trip - mild climate, warm sea and very hospitable and friendly people.

Alexandra:

I flew to Turkey from 21 to 22 weeks. The trip was well endured, the rest is unforgettable! I don’t want to impose my opinion, but if the pregnancy proceeds without any complications, then you should not wind up negative thoughts on yourself. I am now at home in the Ryazan region experiencing more torment from local smog. And I probably endured more overloads in city buses than in an airplane.

Vehicles during pregnancy

So, you have decided on the place of rest. What to travel on? At this stage, pay attention to the following important points:

The news that you are in a great position is not at all a reason to refuse a planned trip to the sea.

On the contrary, with the right approach to organizing a vacation, the expectant mother gets a chance to improve her health and the health of the baby developing in the womb.

And the charge of positive energy that you will receive at sea will definitely benefit you.

It only takes a few simple rules and recommendations, and a "pregnant" trip to the seashore, you will remember with warmth and a smile.

Is a seaside vacation good for pregnant women?

In the absence of contraindications, sea holidays are a great pastime for a pregnant woman. Being on the seashore will help to distract from everyday problems, will provide an opportunity to stock up on positive emotions before such a serious test as.

The sound of the waves has an amazing calming effect, and relaxing on the warm sand is an excellent prevention of diseases of the genitourinary system associated with hypothermia.

Edema, often observed in expectant mothers, is significantly reduced after a vacation at sea. Sea air also has a positive effect on blood pressure.

In order for the trip to the sea to be successful, the future mother must be aware that the position in which she is located is conducive to a more measured and quiet rest.

Therefore, exclude visiting noisy discos and other night festivities from the entertainment program: healthy sleep remains a necessity for a pregnant woman.

Try to refrain from tasting exotic dishes, as unfamiliar food can cause allergies or poisoning.

In what cases should pregnant women not relax at sea?

Unfortunately, in some cases, trips to the sea for expectant mothers are under the strictest ban. We are talking about the following situations when excessive loads can become a serious threat to the health of a woman and a child:

1 Placental pathologies (premature placental abruption, placenta previa). Before planning a trip to the sea, it is necessary to undergo an ultrasound examination in order to timely identify the pathology. Placenta previa can cause uterine bleeding.

2 Late toxicosis (preeclampsia). This is a complication characterized by an increase in the level of protein in the urine and an increase in blood pressure, as well as swelling and general malaise. It is very dangerous for the life of the fetus, therefore, when preeclampsia is detected, it is necessary drug treatment under the supervision of the attending physician.

3 The threat of abortion. If at any stage of pregnancy you have symptoms such as uterine bleeding, aching pains in the lower abdomen and in the lumbar region, then an examination in a medical clinic should be preferred to a seaside vacation.

4 Too early or late deadline pregnancy. The first trimester is characterized by the laying of the vital organs and systems of the baby, so at this time it is better to refrain from any factors that can disrupt this process. In the last month of pregnancy, excessive load can cause premature onset of labor.

5 Exacerbation of chronic diseases, manifestation of allergic reactions. This condition excludes long-distance travel and trips outside the city, since at any time the expectant mother may need emergency medical care.

If you have not been diagnosed with any of the above complications, then you can safely plan a vacation at sea. It is desirable that the trip to the resort coincide with the second trimester, maximum - with the beginning of the third.

Try not to choose countries that are too far away as your holiday destination. A long flight is not the best adventure for a pregnant woman.

The climate at the resort should not be radically different from the weather conditions familiar to you. The maximum allowable air temperature is 30-35 °С.

Can pregnant women sunbathe?

Despite the fact that the sun is the source of life on our planet, sometimes the impact of sunlight on living organisms is detrimental. Some doctors categorically prohibit tanning during pregnancy, but competent sun exposure in compliance with all safety standards can bring irreplaceable benefits.

Sun exposure promotes the production of B vitamins, which help the body absorb calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium.

This property is useful for expectant mothers, since calcium deficiency during pregnancy can lead to tooth decay, the appearance of diseases of the skeletal system and cause rickets in a child.

That is why it is believed that being on fresh air and reasonable sunbathing during pregnancy has a great effect on the formation of the skeleton and teeth of the fetus.

When sunbathing, the expectant mother should adhere to the following recommendations:

1 You can take sunbaths only until 10 am and after 17-18 pm. At this time, the activity of ultraviolet rays is not so great as to harm mother and baby.

2 Don't eat heavy meals before heading to the beach. It is much better to refresh yourself with fresh vegetables and fruits rich in natural antioxidants: tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, apples.

Drink as much water as possible while resting. Take a bottle of non-carbonated mineral water, chilled green tea or natural juice with you to the beach.

3 Choose your sunscreen responsibly. Pay attention to the degree of protection, which is always indicated on the package: 30 SPF is optimal.

The composition of the cream also matters. Products containing natural oils should not be used during pregnancy.

Oil particles accumulate in the skin and can enhance the effect of ultraviolet rays, which can be fraught with the appearance of age spots.

4 Stay in direct sunlight for no more than 10-15 minutes. Prolonged exposure to ultraviolet rays on the skin can cause age spots, and this phenomenon is already often observed in pregnant women.

Having received a heat stroke, a woman can lose consciousness. Also, an increase in the mother's body temperature due to overheating is dangerous for the fetus, since its body does not yet have the ability to thermoregulate.

Can pregnant women swim?

It's no secret to anyone that sea water rich in many unique trace elements and inorganic salts. That is why most of the largest resorts and health resorts are located near the sea.

Substances contained in sea water have a mass useful properties: able to improve the condition of the skin, protect against the occurrence of fungal diseases, improve the process of blood clotting and healing.

Sea water, among other things, is rich in iron. This is important, since most women experience such an unpleasant phenomenon as anemia during pregnancy.

Iron is responsible for the transport of oxygen through the tissues of the body, and also has a positive effect on the development of the fetus, protecting it from the occurrence of anemia.

Interesting! Vitamins during pregnancy: drink correctly

Women who regularly swim during pregnancy have good uteroplacental hemodynamics: the uterine vessels are in excellent tone, respectively, more nutrients are supplied to the fetus.

But the most useful factor for the expectant mother is that bathing in sea water contributes to the overall relaxation of the body. Chemical composition water helps the muscles get rid of excess tension, which is especially necessary for pregnant women in the second and third trimesters.

Refusing to swim is simply illogical: swimming in salt water, the expectant mother practically does not feel her own weight, resting and relaxing better than just lying on a deck chair.

In addition, sea procedures help relieve stress and normalize the tone of the nervous system. Calm and measured swimming is a kind of training of the respiratory tract before childbirth.

However, in order for swimming in the sea to bring only benefits, the expectant mother still needs to follow some rules:

Avoid hypothermia. You should not start swimming if the water temperature has not reached +22 ° C. If the beach does not provide such data, listen to your own feelings: entering the water, you should not experience discomfort.

Swim just for fun. If you are well prepared, swim vigorously. If before the trip to the sea you did not exercise for a long time exercise, then spend in the water at first no more than 10 minutes, avoiding overwork. During this difficult period, it is better to refrain from swimming for long distances, as well as from diving and jumping into the water.

Try not to touch representatives of marine flora and fauna. Many Marine life have a defensive response. Disturbing sometimes even a completely harmless-looking fish, jellyfish or coral, you risk getting a severe burn.

Don't start swimming immediately after you come to the beach. To begin with, it is better to relax and “cool down” in the shade, and only after that you can go to the reservoir.

What to take with you to the sea for a pregnant woman?

Going on a short trip, try to refuse massive luggage and take with you only the most necessary things.

Well, tell me, who doesn't want to go to the sea in summer? Soak up the hot sand, splash in the lace of the waves... I don't think there are any.

So, pregnant women also want to go to the sea! Maybe even sharper than the rest, and maybe in the middle of the night (a classic of the genre!). And if usually the desire of a future mother is the law, then you need to be careful with the idea of rushing to the sea for a pregnant woman.

Should a pregnant woman go to the sea? Will a week under the hot sun harm the baby's health? Is it worth sunbathing while pregnant? How to protect yourself from age spots? Is it good to swim in salty sea water? How much can you swim? Does gestational age matter? Are flights safe during pregnancy? There are a lot of questions, right? Let's figure it out together.

Consulting obstetrician-gynecologist Anna Rudneva.

Can a pregnant woman go to the sea?

By itself, sea water is very useful for expectant mothers. It contains copper and iron ions, rich in useful salts, iodine and selenium (the last two elements are especially important: iodine, among other things, is responsible for the formation mental capacity baby, and selenium deficiency is fraught with many complications of pregnancy). Salt water causes a “good” skin irritation: the capillaries expand, our skin literally begins to breathe, absorbing oxygen! As a result, the metabolism in the whole body is normalized, sugar is reduced, and pressure is normalized.

Rest by the sea is a valuable contribution to the immunity of both mother and baby, just a few breaths of sea air relax the whole nervous system... It would seem that it would be a sin not to take advantage of such a pleasant recovery, but not everything is so simple!

What doctors say: contraindications to sea holidays

With the beginning of the beach season, thousands of expectant mothers ask their doctors the same question: “Can I be pregnant at sea?”.

As an expert, I will say right away that there is no single answer to this question. It all depends on how your pregnancy is going, whether there are complications or the risk of their occurrence, etc.

Let us immediately highlight the conditions under which I categorically forbid my pregnant women to go to the sea:

  • placenta previa (both complete and partial);
  • the threat of termination of pregnancy;
  • preeclampsia (late toxicosis);
  • any chronic disease in the acute stage;
  • allergic reaction;
  • pressure surges;
  • low hemoglobin;
  • uterine hypertonicity;
  • pulling pains in the lower abdomen, spotting;
  • gestational age is less than 12 weeks;
  • gestational age more than 30 weeks;
  • if preterm births and miscarriages have already happened before;
  • protein was found in the urine.

If your gynecologist has recorded at least one of the above complications in you (the decision to travel to the sea for a pregnant woman must be agreed with the doctor!), It is recommended to temporarily refuse to travel further than 100 km from home. An indispensable condition for resting outside the home is the opportunity to periodically come for a consultation with a doctor, and, if necessary, promptly receive qualified medical care.

Where to go to the sea for a pregnant woman?

If you feel great, and your doctor lets you go to the sea with a light heart, the only thing left is to choose the perfect place for a pregnant woman to relax on the sea. In addition to your usual requirements, the following should be added:

  • if abroad, then near and not exotic;
  • without a sharp change in climate and time zones;
  • at least a week (the body will only have time to adapt, but already you need to leave!);
  • temperature maximum - 35 ° C, better - less;
  • the possibility of a comfortable and safe transfer to the place of rest.

It is very important that your swimsuit does not squeeze the chest, does not pinch anywhere and does not rub! Be sure to take a pareo - a couple of knots will turn it into a weightless cape that covers your tummy.

Car, train or plane?

If you have a choice, choose to travel by car with a reliable and caring driver. Every two hours or more often (as you feel) make stops, breathe in the air, stretch your legs for 5-10 minutes. It is recommended to wear a bandage and compression stockings.

Second is the railroad.

Plan your flights carefully.

What you need to consider the expectant mother before boarding the aircraft:

  • most airlines do not have restrictions for pregnant women, but when buying tickets, check this point;
  • it is advisable to have an exchange card with you confirming the duration of pregnancy (for a period of more than 36 weeks, you will also need a written permission from the doctor for air travel);
  • rarefied air and changes in barometric pressure in modern aircraft can no longer be afraid;
  • if you've never flown before, it's best to postpone your first flight experience until your body's more predictable reactions;
  • of course, you should not choose air transport if you are terribly afraid of flying!
  • when buying tickets, choose seats near the aisle and closer to the toilet;
  • be sure to buckle up, but make sure that the seat belt is lower than the tummy.

Don't forget about health insurance! When applying for an insurance policy, check whether it includes situations related to pregnancy, support for the baby in case of premature birth etc.

Is it possible to sunbathe while pregnant?

Can a pregnant woman sunbathe in the sun?

Sunbathing is an effective antidepressant. In addition, the sun strengthens our immunity, increases hemoglobin, helps to synthesize vitamin D (prevention of rickets in a baby and postpartum osteoporosis in a mother). So it is possible and necessary for a pregnant woman to sunbathe, but correctly!

You must know how to protect yourself and your baby from the possible risks of sun exposure.

  • Don't overheat! The mother's body overheats - the baby in the womb also overheats. The sultry sun can cause fainting even in an athlete, what can we say about a pregnant woman whose heat exchange is not stable!
  • The sun activates all processes in the body: metabolism, blood circulation, heartbeat, etc. If you have any failures in these processes, you should stop tanning.
  • Prolonged exposure to the sun can provoke uterine bleeding (blood pressure drops, muscle tone weakens).
  • Overheating in the sun slows down blood flow, which in turn contributes to the development of varicose veins.
  • If your skin already has a mark of pregnancy in the form of age spots, you should not sunbathe either - the pigmentation will increase.

Most beach delicacies are difficult to classify as healthy food. Be attentive to your diet on vacation and refrain from culinary novelties. Even if you didn’t have digestive problems before, it’s not known how your body will now react to unfamiliar food.

How can pregnant women sunbathe so that a vacation by the sea gives only positive emotions?

1. Sunbathe in the shade (yes, you can get a tan in the shade!) or hide under an umbrella every 20 minutes to prevent overheating.

2. Be sure to use sunscreen.

3. Drink water.

4. Visit the beach during safe hours: before 10 am and after 5 pm.

5. Listen to your body: increased sweating and heart rate? Sunbathing must be stopped immediately!

Can a pregnant woman sunbathe in a solarium?

At the moment, there has been no official research on this issue (often the opposite is claimed in salons). Most doctors, including myself, insist that pregnant women should not sunbathe in a solarium.

Are you sure that the salon did not save on the ventilation systems of the solarium chamber? (There are cases when, due to overheating, absolutely healthy people passed out during a tanning session in a tanning bed!) Many tanning salons also use B-ray lamps quick tan). Such a tan is definitely harmful, in Europe the use of lamps of this type is officially prohibited!

My dear mothers! Based on all of the above, I do not advise a pregnant woman to go to the solarium, if you really want to get a little (!) tan, treat yourself to real sunbathing, but be sure to follow the rules of tanning for pregnant women!

Can a pregnant woman swim?

Surely you have heard about water aerobics for pregnant women, and about childbirth in water - it seems that the water element is simply created for expectant mothers!

Water relieves stress and fatigue, gives a feeling of already forgotten ease of movement. Water procedures are an excellent prevention of swelling and varicose veins, swimming trains proper breathing and abdominal muscles ... But this is all in a pool, but is it possible for a pregnant woman to swim in the sea?

It is possible, but the recommendations for sea bathing for expectant mothers are very similar to the rules for swimming in the sea for ... children. And this is not surprising, because your baby came to visit the sea with you in your tummy. So let's make sure that both you and him are comfortable.

First encounter with the sea. Fees and exhausting road behind - you are by the sea. How do you want to dive in! But you should not do this: let your body rest, get used to the new temperature. Unpack your bags, take a nap for half an hour.

At sea - with a thermometer. Above, we have already talked about the possible unpleasant consequences of overheating. No less dangerous is hypothermia. A pregnant woman can swim only at a water temperature of at least 21 ° C.

The sea is rough... If the sea is rough, limit yourself to a walk along the coast or lie a little aground. Beware of big waves that can hurt you and even knock you down.

Not for long, but often. Yes, you don’t feel like leaving the warm sea water at all, but this time you will have to dose the pleasure. Swim for 10-15 minutes, go ashore, wrap yourself in a towel.

We listen to the body. Goosebumps, tangible muscle tension - a signal that it's time to relax on the shore.

Activity is moderate. Active beach activities should be abandoned. Swimming on a calm breath - perfect option. Pregnant women at sea should forget about noisy beach discos. Use the nights by the sea for healing and sweet sleep.

It is strictly forbidden for pregnant women whose mucous plug has come off to swim: the risk of infection is too high!

Where can you swim while pregnant?

If you have already decided to swim pregnant in natural reservoirs, remember that our skin is a very conditional barrier. Through the skin of the body, various substances and microorganisms can enter our body. Which ones prevail in the reservoir you like? This is the question you should be thinking about. After all, now your body is more vulnerable to external influences than ever before.

When pregnancy is summer period, a woman has the right to choose how she spends the summer. The question often arises - are pregnancy and the sea in the second trimester compatible? Rest on the sea coast is a real pleasure that a developing baby in the womb will also appreciate, however, only if there are no contraindications.

Pregnancy and the sea: pros and cons

Sea air, sunbathing and contrasting contact with salt water, it would seem, are not capable of bringing anything negative to our body. However, it is very important to take into account the subjective and objective aspects of the course of pregnancy and the individual adaptive capabilities of the female body during this period. Pregnancy and the sea, according to doctors, in some specific cases become incompatible. Only a doctor observing a pregnant woman can give a final recommendation whether or not to visit the resort area. Properly organized sea vacation will bring only a positive result for both the mother and the unborn baby.

Serious factors for canceling a trip can be medical contraindications, for example:

  • high risk of miscarriage; some women even have to be under the constant supervision of doctors for the entire period of pregnancy, having gone to the hospital "for preservation";
  • the presence and exacerbation of chronic diseases during pregnancy; it is especially difficult for pregnant women to adapt to a new environment, having autoimmune problems, such as allergic reactions of non-food origin;
  • placenta previa; only ultrasound is complete picture state of the embryo; in this position, there is a high risk of sudden bleeding even with minimal exertion, which will lead to the death of the fetus, endangering the life of the woman herself as well;
  • toxicosis of pregnancy in the second trimester does not contribute to the trip; persistent nausea, frequent vomiting, increased blood pressure, high swelling limit the woman in terms of movement, any movement, especially a change of scenery.

In cases where the pregnancy proceeds without complications, and the attending physician gives a recommendation to improve your health at sea, you can safely go on a trip. Of course, a woman at the time of travel and rest should be protected from unwanted stress and domestic discomfort. Some holiday destinations are still not ready to provide a full service to their customers, close to home. Such options are categorically not suitable for pregnant women.

Which resort do you prefer?

Climatic features play big role in choosing a place to stay. The body will definitely respond to a sudden change in climate and environment. For pregnant women, resort places of the climatic zone in which they live are best suited.

The optimum temperature regime should be in the range of 25-30°C. If the temperature environment exceeds 35 ° C, it is necessary to literally protect the pregnant woman from overheating and increased solar activity. The resorts of Croatia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Scandinavia can become ideal places for recreation. It is not recommended to go to exotic countries in Africa or Asia, where the risk of contracting severe infections is high.

Once in a beautiful place, a pregnant woman should relax and indulge in rest. In any case, avoiding acclimatization is almost impossible at any age. Several days will require certain costs of vital resources. Be sure to take care of the quality of drinking water and the diet for a pregnant woman. The bed on which the woman will rest should be comfortable, spacious, have additional pillows to put them comfortably if necessary.

Water and solar procedures for a pregnant woman at sea

Is it possible for pregnant women to swim in the sea in the second trimester - a natural question for expectant mothers. At the time of swimming, the muscles of a pregnant woman relax, helping the back to rest from daily stress, and the water, rich in trace elements and salts, perfectly heals the body at the cellular level. The chemical composition of sea water disinfects, heals the skin and mucous membranes, and helps to cleanse toxins. The sea has high regenerative properties, therefore, in the absence of contraindications, a pregnant woman can take water procedures throughout the entire period of pregnancy. Some women even choose to give birth in water.

Pregnant women should avoid a strong sea storm, which, with all its relaxation ability, can harm the embryo and the expectant mother.

Sunbathing during the second trimester should be done with great caution. Too long exposure to the active sun of a pregnant woman is fraught with serious consequences, for example, unwanted pigmentation of the skin, varicose veins, fainting, thermal shock, uterine bleeding. You need to sunbathe moderately in the morning and evening, on a hot afternoon it is better to refrain from sunbathing, hiding in the shade.

Sunburn in the second trimester is good for proper development fetus. This is a real climatotherapeutic event, because the sun's rays contribute to the formation of vitamin D in the subcutaneous tissue. The synthesis of vitamin D ensures the absorption of calcium in the body. In the first trimester of pregnancy, dentin is formed for the future milk teeth of the baby, and in the second and third trimesters, the preservation of maternal teeth is ensured. Therefore, we can safely say that pregnancy and sea holidays will perfectly strengthen the health of a woman and an unborn child.

First aid kit for a pregnant woman at sea

Going on a trip with a pregnant woman, you should thoroughly prepare a first-aid kit in order to exclude the slightest exacerbations along the way and on the beach. In resort villages there is not always a pharmacy, and if there is, then not all the necessary drugs can be bought there at times of urgent need. The list of the most important drugs and personal protective equipment is presented in the table.

Of course, every woman who is expecting a baby should be very sensitive to the use medicines and personal protective equipment. The first aid kit for a pregnant woman, which will accompany her on the road and directly at the resort, must be coordinated in detail with the observing doctor. Herbs and herbal preparations also have a number of contraindications. For example, in the second trimester, antibiotics, muscle relaxants, and hormonal drugs, even for external use, should be taken with great care.

Conclusion

A trip to the sea is a wonderful kind of relaxation from the turbulent nervous situation, which is simply impossible to avoid in the metropolis. It also happens that a woman, in view of her daily worries, has not been able to go on vacation for several years. Pregnancy in such cases should not be an obstacle. A change of scenery, walks in the fresh air, water and sunbathing will only benefit the pregnant woman.

On the eve of the trip, relatives accompanying a pregnant woman must know how to provide first aid to her in unforeseen situations, how to behave on the water and on the beach, what should be taken with them in addition to the first aid kit and warm clothes what living conditions should be provided for the entire period of rest.

Certain health problems can be caused by an acclimatization period, which sometimes takes from several days to a week. Drinking water, which is often difficult to access in resort towns, and its quality raises serious doubts, is one of the key points for maintaining the health of a future mother.

An abundance of exotic fruits and vegetables that can provoke food allergies is a great temptation for any vacationer. In spontaneous markets, no one is responsible for the radiological control of products sold. Pregnant women should not eat locally produced seafood: dried fish, shrimp, mussels, rapana.

For some reason, many women, finding themselves in an interesting position, sadly state the fact that this summer it will no longer be possible to go to the sea. But in vain! After all, sea water, the sun and warm sand have a beneficial effect on pregnant women: swelling decreases, blood pressure normalizes, anemia disappears, uteroplacental blood flow, kidney and adrenal glands improve. In addition, the expectant mother's immunity is strengthened, the sea air calms the nervous system. Not taking advantage of these benefits is simply unacceptable!

But in order for the trip to go as planned and even better, you need to take into account several factors, as well as prepare for it in advance, in the most thorough way. But first, let's decide when a trip to the sea can be harmful, and for now it is better to forget about such a vacation.

You cannot go to the sea if:

You still have a very short period (up to 12 weeks) and it is not known exactly how the body reacts to pregnancy
There is a threat of miscarriage and the doctor prescribed a “lying” type of rest at home
A woman does not feel well - she has high or low blood pressure, low hemoglobin levels, acute toxicosis, etc.
With hypertonicity of the uterus, aching pains in the lower abdomen, spotting, it is also better to refuse a trip.
If a woman has had a miscarriage or premature birth
Pregnancy in the third trimester - there is a risk of preterm birth
A pregnant woman has partial or complete placenta previa, due to which uterine bleeding may open
There are suspicions of late toxicosis (gestosis)
Tests showed the presence of protein in the urine
But even if you feel great and have not found anything like this, you still need to agree on a trip to the sea with the gynecologist observing you, listen to and take into account all his instructions and recommendations.
Doctor's advice when preparing for a trip to the sea
Please note that during pregnancy, the breasts increase significantly in size, appear excess weight. In this regard, make sure that you "fit" into your swimsuit, and most importantly - that it does not press you anywhere, does not interfere with blood circulation.
In addition to the standard luggage with clothes, towels and other things, you should have a small bag with drinks, sandwiches, napkins, first aid kit on hand.
Be sure to take it with you sunscreens and a headdress.
As for clothes and shoes, preference should be given, first of all, to convenience. No high heels or tights!
On the road, you can wear a bandage, as well as stockings from varicose veins.
From all modes of transport, select a car (naturally, you should not drive it). If possible, it is better to refuse the plane.
Avoid resorts where you have to change time zones, sharply changing climatic conditions.

How to behave at sea

Arriving at the sea, you should not immediately run and swim in it. Take a rest from the road, unpack things, lie down.
Swimming is only in the sea, the water temperature of which is 21-22 degrees.
Avoid strong waves, there is a risk of being knocked down.
Bathe for no more than 10 minutes, but often. Wrap yourself in a towel after every bath.
You can sunbathe in the sun, only on condition that: 1) tanning is taken in the morning, 2) the whole body is smeared sunscreen 3) You are wearing a hat. Every 20 minutes, the body should be hidden under an umbrella to avoid overheating.
In the period from 12 to 16.00 it is best to stay in a hotel room and relax.
Forget about night festivities, discos and bars. Rest on the sea is also a healthy dream.
DO NOT eat unfamiliar food, as the body may not respond adequately to it, and you will spend the rest of the time in the hospital with poisoning.
Drink much more fluids, as it is excreted from the body faster at sea.
After swimming in the sea, do not rush to wash your body under a stream of fresh water. Give your skin a chance to absorb all the beneficial effects of salt water.
