Sew a school sundress for a girl with your own hands - patterns. Sew a school sundress pattern Pattern straight school sundress for 7 years

There is simply a huge assortment of various summer children's clothing, but a sundress is considered the most comfortable outfit for a girl. A sundress is an important part of the wardrobe, and all thanks to its practicality, because such a model can be worn by representatives different ages. A pattern of a sundress for a girl will allow you to create an outfit with your own hands, which is ideal for a little fashionista.

Choosing a model based on age

A silhouette called a trapezoid is suitable for the smallest. Very often, such models of sundresses are equipped with straps, and you do not need to have special skills to sew them.

Patterns of trapezoidal outfits in front and behind are not much different from each other, so they are very easy to make. The sundress flares out a little at the bottom, and to build the pattern, you need to take measurements of the chest girth to determine the top, as well as choose the length of the outfit. In addition, you need to measure the width of the arms to draw the armhole.

Outfits for older girls are more sophisticated and sophisticated. To make a sundress pattern for a 7-year-old girl special, combine a variety of fabric colors. No need to limit your imagination, because you can create several different sundresses of the same style. A very popular option among little fashionistas is the sun skirt.

Sundresses with a skirt consisting of several panels also look beautiful. This outfit has a festive look. The set of a sundress with Figaro looks interesting. A cape-jacket will make the outfit fashionable and more versatile. The main thing is to use a similar fabric for figaro. For a pattern of a shelf with a back, take any jacket or blouse. Look great short sleeves"lanterns".

Necessary materials:

  • fabric (its width and length are calculated taking into account the size of the child);
  • sewing machine;
  • threads;
  • paper;
  • pencil;
  • ruler;
  • chalk or dry soap.

Sundress pattern for a girl 10 years old and older:

  1. We transfer the pattern to paper, calculating the length of the lines, taking into account the size of the girl, as well as the product.
  2. Having drawn a pattern, it must be cut out and then attached to the fabric.
  3. All details should be carefully outlined with chalk or a bar of soap (it is better not to use a pen or felt-tip pen for this, because there will be traces that will be very difficult to remove).
  4. It remains to cut out the details and sew them.

  1. We cut out a large rectangle, leaving allowances vertically to hem the bottom edge (although it is better to sheathe the bottom with some kind of lace or ribbon).
  2. Leave an allowance for the drawstring. Its dimensions are affected by the width of the rope or ribbon - if the braid or ribbon is rather thin, you need to add only 5 cm; when it is wide or a twisted cord is used, then 10 cm must be left.
  3. At the same time, we choose the width of the product, taking into account that if it is wide, then there will be a lot of assemblies. Pleats look great if the fabric is thin, so they can be used in large quantities. Whereas hard material must be dosed, otherwise the sundress will look like a bell.
  4. We leave allowances for all seams.
  5. We cut out two main details - one will be used for the front, the second - for the back. We mow a few centimeters on the armhole, given the fullness of the baby.
  6. It remains to sew a sundress for the girl with your own hands: transfer the patterns to the fabric, and if everything is fine, sew on a typewriter.

Pattern of a school sundress:

  1. According to the measurements taken, prepare the main pattern by drawing the main lines on it.
  2. When making the back, divide the tuck located at the back into two parts. Continue the middle lines to the very bottom until they intersect with the bottom of the dress. The lines of the bottom and waist must be continued by 5 cm. Connect the resulting points with a line, leaving an allowance for assembling the product.
  3. In the middle of the front part, you need to set aside 2 cm from the neck itself. Then draw a line from the obtained point to the neck. Set aside 2 cm from the middle of the front along the waist to the right so that the bodice fastens.
  4. Mark several loops: one is 2 cm lower from the neck, the distance between the rest should be 6 cm.
  5. Continue the darts until they intersect with the bottom of the product.
  6. On the bottom of the skirt itself, you need to set aside 5 cm for allowances.
  7. The sleeve pattern remains unchanged. The length of the cuff should be the circumference of the girl's wrist, to which 2 cm is added.
  8. It turns out a school sundress for a girl: the pattern must be numbered before transferring it to the fabric. Otherwise, the details may be confused.

Variety of options

The pattern of a cut-off dress-sundress along the waist line is suitable for girls with a height of 122-128cm. The skirt is pleated. Zipper in the middle back seam. According to this pattern, you can sew not only a strict school sundress, but also summer dress for relaxation, picking up bright fabrics.

The pattern is calculated chest girth 60-64cm - this is the age of 7-8 years. Age guidelines are rather “slippery”, since children at this age are of different heights and different fatness, so before cutting, take the main measurements: chest and waist, length to the waist and the entire product, and compare with the parameters of the pattern. Correct if necessary

A table of sizes for children's clothing, as well as the ratio of the age, height, chest circumference and weight of the child can be

Choose fabrics depending on the purpose of the sundress dress: preferably natural - these can be plain fabrics or with a small delicate pattern, in a cage, in peas, etc.

Pattern preparation

Print the pattern sheets on the printer and connect them in accordance with the diagram. The scheme is the order in which the pattern sheets are connected. It is printed on the first page.

Be sure to check the scale. On a printed sheet with a depicted square of 10x10 cm, the sides of 10 cm should correspond to exactly 10 centimeters. To do this, in the printer settings, set the print scale of the document to 100% (without scaling).

After gluing the sheets (it is convenient to do this with a glue stick or narrow tape), carefully cut out the details of the pattern.

The pattern is given without seam allowances.

Details of the cut of the sundress dress

  • Backrest 2 parts
  • Before the bodice 1 piece with a fold
  • Side of the front of the bodice 2 parts
  • The front panel of the skirt 1 piece with a fold
  • The back panel of the skirt 2 parts
  • Skirt details are cut according to one pattern

When cutting, do not forget to allow for seam allowances!

Tailoring of a sundress.

The processing of the neck and armholes of the summer version of the sundress dress provides for edging with an oblique trim from the main material, or you can use the finished one. The bodice of a sundress dress for the cool season is recommended to be lined (cut according to the main details). The processing of a sundress dress depends on the material and, if synthetic fibers have an advantage in its composition, then the dress should be completely sewn on the lining and the bodice and lower part.

For those who want to build a pattern for a specific figure of a child according to the measurements taken, we have a detailed

A few decades ago, absolutely all schoolchildren were required to wear the established uniform, which greatly facilitated the life of parents. Buying a dress or at that time was not difficult. All stores had a special section where you could pick up a uniform of absolutely any size, both for boys and girls.

Today, there is no generally accepted style. There was only an agreement on the combination of colors. Light top and dark bottom are classic. And it is this combination that the administration of any school asks parents to adhere to. In addition to the standard combination of a blouse with a skirt or trousers, girls are allowed to wear sundresses over a light blouse. But today it can be quite difficult to find a thing right size especially when it comes to clothes for first graders. Often, babies entering the school path simply do not correspond to the generally accepted size range of the form produced today. And even the smallest models are great.

Therefore, it will not be superfluous to learn how to sew School Patterns of this article of clothing, presented in the article, will help craftswomen understand the principle of creating a pattern for the base and modeling various styles.

Perhaps, work on a new outfit for a little schoolgirl should begin with determining the length of the cut of the material and measurements.

Calculation and taking measurements

For pattern and fabric calculation, you should measure the height of the child, chest, waist, hips, back width, height from shoulder to chest, as well as the length from shoulder to waist and the length of the finished product. For any model, whether it is a straight silhouette or a variant with a canvas width of 150 cm, you will need a cut equal to the length of the finished product + 10 cm for the design of the seams and the hem of the bottom. If the width of the material is 110 or 80 cm, its consumption will increase by about 20 cm.

What material should not be taken?

The fabric for a school sundress should be selected based on the following requirements for the fabric:

What is better to sew a sundress from?

The ideal option for both price and quality will be the so-called school fabric, as well as katon, gabardine. But you can use other costume fabrics. From knitted fabrics, diving and jersey can be used. In any case, the patterns of school sundresses discussed in this article are suitable for making a product from any canvas, the only difference will be in the fastener.

In addition to fabric, you will need sewing equipment, matching threads, a 50 cm long zipper or buttons. But, as practice shows, the child will be more comfortable with a zipper.

Building a template

The main pattern of a school sundress for a girl of 7 years old, on the basis of which absolutely all styles are modeled, is built in accordance with the measurements taken from the figure. To develop a drawing, you will need to draw a rectangle on paper or on a construction film. One side of it is half the circumference of the chest, the other is the length of the product. Further construction can be divided into several stages:

Perhaps these are all the tricks of building the main pattern of school sundresses. All of its changes relate to design and modeling. And this topic is worth talking about separately, because by changing the number of cut elements and their shape, you can achieve amazing results.

Modeling

If you change the base a little, then new patterns of school sundresses will come out. For example, in the drawing, relief seams from the shoulder and to the bottom can be marked, the sections of which should be flared to the hem. The six-piece product will look like a bell and is perfect for a small thin girl.

You can also make the top cut-off, and arrange the skirt from a strip of fabric gathered with bow or ordinary folds. The place where both parts are combined can be decorated with a satin ribbon and a bow. In this case, it is best to underestimate the waist by about 7 cm.

Patterns of school sundresses for girls can be improved. For example, it is not difficult to fit it on the back and make a real lady's sheath dress in this way for the baby.

Also interesting options there will be models with a tulip skirt and a peplum along the waist line.

Armhole and neck options

Sewing a school sundress, the pattern of which is built so easily, is not at all difficult. All the most difficult thing that can lie in wait during assembly is the armhole. They can be made from the main fabric or a selection of lining fabric, duplicating the main fabric of the product to the waist line.

In view of the fact that the patterns of school sundresses for girls are built without complex calculations and drawings, and the processing of parts is not so complicated as it might seem at the beginning of work, you should try your hand and make a school uniform item yourself.

Over the past 20 years, the school uniform has undergone significant changes. Previously, we could only observe monotonous brown dresses, on which cuffs and aprons changed. Now she has become the object of attention of fashion designers, which led to the creation of a separate class of clothing. The school uniform can be divided into winter and summer, contain from two to six parts in a set. Today we will analyze in detail school sundress, photo sewing process and description provided by workshop M.Y. code.

Pattern of a school sundress

You can download a sundress pattern for a height of 132 cm at the link:

Basic materials

An already existing set of clothes bought in a store was taken as the basis, so the pattern was not built.

The task was to sew exactly the same school sundress for a girl with a height of 132 cm.

For tailoring, we took electric-colored gabardine with a standard width of 1.5 m and a length of 1.2 m. Gabardine is a non-stretch fabric. Pre-decatation was not carried out, since it is not subject to shrinkage.

One of the problems of gabardine fabrics is the edges that crumble during work. In the process of tailoring, we repeatedly encountered the need to process the edge on the overlock.

Tailoring is conditionally divided into three stages: cutting (stage 1), tailoring a skirt (stage 2), assembling the upper part of a school sundress (stage 3).

Stage one. cutting

Our school sundress consists of the following details:

- Two panels of a skirt (main part). Front and rear - cut out one piece at a time.

- Front shelf - one part (main part).

- Rear shelf - two parts (main part). A hidden snake is sewn between them.

- Turning. Repeat the shape of the front and back shelves. Three parts - one wide and two narrow. Shorter than the main parts in half. Sewn on the inside of the sundress.

— Decorative belt. On the pattern 1/4 part of the belt. Those. to obtain the desired length, you need to increase by 4 times in length.

  1. We cut out the main details of the pattern, laying them out along the equity. The patches can be laid out as you wish. The belt can be laid out on the fabric both in the lobar and in the transverse. All patterns come with allowances.

Sew a school dress

2.1. First of all, we prepare a skirt. It is necessary to lay folds from the center of the skirt along the notches that we made on the top and bottom of the skirt panel. Folds are laid towards the side seams. Secure them with pins.

2.2. We set the maximum seam on the machine and sew the skirt along the waist and bottom (the widest and narrowest side).

2.3. I iron them. And let the fabrics cool on the ironing board. (We will later dissolve the bottom line, it is necessary in order to make it easier for us to smooth out the wrinkles).

Assembly of the top

3.1. Now we take the two main details of the back and overlock the places where the hidden snake is sewn (the center of the back).

3.2. We put a one-sided foot and sew a snake on top of the left half of the back.

Then to the right.

3.3. After we connect the waist seam of the back with the skirt (the narrowest part with folds) and stitch the finishing seam on the foot along the upper part.

3.4. We also connect the front shelf and skirt. We process with an overlock along the side seams and the bottom of the skirt. Processing sites are shown with a red line.

3.5. We sew the front and back of the face with the face along the side and shoulder seams.
The top is finished.

3.6. Now let's move on to wrapping. We sew it along the shoulder and side seams.

On the bottom you need to go overlock.

3.7. We connect the neck of the sundress and the facings to each other, sew on a typewriter, notch from the inside and stitch out by 0.1 mm for a better laying out of the neck.

3.8. Now you need to connect the facing and the top along the armhole (where to put your hand in). To do this, we fold them together in the region of the shoulder seam (the narrowest place), and then turn the edges away from us, it is better to fix the result with a pin.

Be sure to hold the edges when sewing so that the fabric does not leave.

3.9. So we sewed one side

Now we sew the opposite part of the first armhole without eversion, just connecting the edges.

Similarly, make the second armhole and notch the inner edges of the seam.

3.10. Sew along the piping around the armhole finishing stitch 0.1 as on the neck, as long as the foot allows. Trying to stitch completely in a circular one does not work out, too narrow a place in the shoulder seam

3.11. Close the zipper by sewing the facing to the back

3.12. Hem the bottom along the hem (lined with a dotted line on the pattern).

3.13. Fold the belt in half. In finished form, the width of the belt is 2 cm. Stitch along the entire length, turn out and smooth down. Sew a buckle from the unsewn end. Pin the waistband at the folds of the skirt and side seams. Fasten the end of the belt through the buckle.

Each loving mother She tries to dress her daughter as beautifully as possible. Along with the richest selection of children's clothing, you want the thing to be exclusive, special. And if tailoring baby dress will require some skills and complex patterns, sewing a sundress for a girl with your own hands is an activity that any mother can do. The main thing is to have a sewing machine at hand.

Sometimes the presence of a pattern is an obstacle to tailoring. In fact, patterns greatly simplify the work. Unfortunately, it is impossible to find ideal templates for children, as children are individual and grow quickly. But creating the right pattern in a minimum of time is a completely feasible task. And often the "home" pattern sits better than the one offered in needlework magazines.

To make your job easier, here are a few simple tips:

  • the pattern does not imply seam allowances: they are added during cutting;
  • so that there are no overlaps of material when assembling the product, notches are made when cutting: an allowance of 0.5 cm is notched at the level of the waist, hips and hem of the bottom, folding the side sections of the back and shelves together, aligning their edges;
  • simple products without fitting to the figure can be “swept” with a machine line “wide pitch” 4 mm;
  • in the presence of a typical pattern on right age, you can cut out a sundress on it, and then fit it to the figure;
  • it is not recommended to make a sundress with a snug fit: the skin should "breathe";
  • textiles are better to choose natural, one that does not slip;
  • it is undesirable to sew a model for a girl from bielastic fabric (stretching along and across): such textiles need special production equipment;
  • we must not forget about the WTO: skipping the ironing of processing units always affects the sewing time and the final result;
  • if an elastic band (linen, elastic thread) is used in the work, it is unacceptable to iron it, this will stretch it;
  • for perfect alignment of the seams, you need to use sewing pins;
  • if the seam turns out to be “accordion”, it will not be ironed out, such a defect must be redone immediately;
  • to evenly stitch the bottom, you can first iron the allowance: this will eliminate the twisting of the fabric.

Besides:

  1. The work can be facilitated if a comfortable T-shirt is used as a pattern for the girl. This will reduce cutting time and eliminate the need to build a pattern. In some cases, you can make a pattern directly on the fabric, taking into account the girth of the hips, chest and length of the product.
  2. If you need to make changes when trying on, you can measure the future sundress on the wrong side. This method is good if the cut is symmetrical. It allows you to better see the imperfections of the fit.
  3. In order not to buy extra fabric, you can first prepare a template, then make an approximate layout of the patterns, taking into account the width of the material you like. About 5 cm should be added to the approximate layout.
  4. Another little trick: in order for the sundress to look like from a store, the width of the finishing seams of the parts must be identical. In addition, it is worth considering the secret of professionals: if the print allows, it should be symmetrical, matching the side seams (stripe, cage).

A simple model for a girl for 1 year

A light summer sundress with a minimum of details is a great option for beginners. It will take a minimum of time to sew it, it does not need additional decor. This beautiful model in which the girl will be comfortable.

The pattern is based on a trapezoid with an upper edge of 8 cm, a lower one of 22 cm, and a length of 21 cm. All that needs to be modified in the trapezoid to form armholes is to retreat down from the sides of 6 cm and smoothly reduce the lines to the side edges of the trapezoid.

Having cut out 2 parts of the base, they are folded face to face, then the side sections are grinded and processed on a typewriter. Having ironed the bottom allowance, a finishing braid is pinned to it. It is sewn on, overcast the edge, then folded over so that the braid is visible, and a finishing line is laid.

Armholes can be finished with bias tape. So that in finished form they do not look stretched, during processing, you need to slightly stretch the oblique inlay and make a barely noticeable wave of textiles. For convenience, it is better to use sewing pins. It turns out a wide edging on the wrong side.

Nuance: a slanting inlay for a beginner may seem capricious. To make sewing a sundress evoke pleasant emotions, and not have to mess with the trim, you can change the processing of the edge of the armholes. To do this, you first need to iron the finished oblique inlay, folding it in half. It is much easier to sew it with one line by putting the edge of the armhole inside.

Now it remains to wrap the upper cut of the sundress, flash it and put it on satin ribbon. A fashionable new thing for my daughter is ready!

Summer model for 2-4 years: a master class for beginners

A mother who has an hour of free time can sew a cute sarafan with straps for her daughter. Even a beginner can cope with sewing such a model. In addition, measurements for the pattern are also minimal: you need parameters for chest girth and the desired length.

Cut details

The pattern is for a 2 year old girl. Having measured the girth of the chest, a small allowance for freedom of fitting is added to it, then the result is divided by 2. The length of the bodice depends on preferences. An approximate indicator is 30 cm.

The top of the sarafan will be double. Cut out of fabric:

  • 4 rectangles 16 x 30 cm (bodice), then the upper corners are beveled in a straight line by 5 - 7 cm, forming armholes.
  • For the skirt, cut out 2 rectangles measuring 33 x 50.
  • The straps are cut out 3 cm wide, the length depends on the particular child.

When cutting, it is worth considering a small nuance: without an allowance for a free fit, putting on a sundress can be difficult.

Tailoring technology

It's pretty simple:

  • first prepare the straps by sewing them on a typewriter;
  • the details of the bodice are connected in pairs with the front sides inward;
  • having outlined the correct position of the straps (at the very top corner of the armhole), they are inserted between the paired parts of the bodice;
  • top blanks are stitched on three sides, without touching the lower cut, then turned inside out and ironed;
  • the details of the skirt are folded with the front sides inward, stitched on the sides and the seams are processed on the overlock;
  • a narrow lace ribbon is sewn to the bottom edge, then the allowance is overcast and secured with a finishing stitch.
  • aligning the skirt with the side seams, find the centers of the front and back;
  • folds are laid from the centers of the skirt, symmetrically distributing them on both sides (for convenience, it is better to chop off the centers of the parts and the side seams of the top and bottom);
  • the skirt is connected to the bodice, the edge is overcast (if desired, you can wrap the allowance on the side of the bodice and fix it with a line).

The straps are tied when putting on the product. If the model seems rustic, you can decorate it with a small flower along the line connecting the bodice and skirt.

Sundress dress with a frill on the neck for 5-7 years

This model is very easy to implement. It will take no more than an hour to create it. In order not to be wiser with a pattern, you can create a template according to the model. The photo shows a pattern for a girl 5 years old (height 110 cm).

For those who find it difficult to figure out how to build a pattern, a small instruction will help:

  • on a large sheet (newspaper or wallpaper remnants) draw a rectangle measuring 27.5 x 60 cm (half of the pattern with a fold);
  • 15 cm recede from the middle of the upper line and set point A;
  • about 15 cm recede down from the obtained point A and draw a perpendicular line connecting the two sides of the rectangle (this is the armhole line);
  • then draw up the side, as in the photo: 22.5 cm recede from the middle of the second line (armhole level) and put point B, then points A and B are connected;
  • 3 - 3.5 cm recede upwards from the side line of the bottom and put point C, then it is connected to point B;
  • the bottom line should be rounded: point C is smoothly connected to the middle of the bottom;
  • at the shelf, the neckline is slightly larger, so the neckline of the shelf should be 1 - 1.5 cm lower.

Before you cut out the base, you need to steam the fabric with an iron: this will save ready product from deformation and shrinkage after washing. Having cut out the details of the base, you need to cut out a strip of 130 x 18 cm (frill).

Sewing a sundress is simple:

  • the product is placed on the wrong side, the armholes are folded and stitched with a seam into a hem with a closed edge;
  • after armholes, side cuts are ground and processed on an overlock;
  • the bottom of the product is tucked 2 cm, folded 0.7 cm and stitched on a typewriter;
  • the sides of the shuttlecock are ground, overcast, and then the bottom is tucked and stitched with a seam in a hem with a closed edge;
  • having outlined 2 middles of the shuttlecock, 1 shelves, 1 backs, they are combined with sewing pins (the shuttlecock rings the top front side on the face):
  • the shuttlecock is sewn to the base.
  • the upper side of the shuttlecock is tucked up to the width of the elastic, stitched on a typewriter, then the elastic is threaded (length is about 45 - 49 cm).

If the girl is older, the size of the pattern is increased. The length of the finished sundress is small (you need to take this into account before cutting). If you want an accent, you can add a sundress with a narrow contrasting belt.

New look style for 8-10 years

A charming children's sundress with a fluffy skirt and a bow will appeal to any girl. Tailoring will not take much time: its complexity is minimized. First you need to measure the circumference of the hips, the distance to the waist line and the estimated length of the model. Gather allowance is added to the hip measurement to make the bodice and skirt appear voluminous.

The tailoring of the model is as follows:

  • Having cut out two rectangles, taking into account the allowances, they are ground down on the sides, overcast the edges.
  • The upper edge is wrapped, making out a drawstring, after which two loops are made in front for threading a bow. In order for them to be reliable and not tear the fabric, at the place of their execution, it is necessary to strengthen the fabric with an adhesive pad. It is important to consider that the width of the drawstring should cover the hinges.

  • The drawstring at the waist is fixed with two lines: along the upper and lower edges. It is advisable to select threads for stitching to match the tone of the fabric, so the product will look neater. When sewing, it is better to focus on the marks to the right of the presser foot, located on the metal plate of the machine. This will make the lines even and parallel. If you do not want to mess with the drawstrings, you need to iron their allowances. This will allow you to lay the lines evenly and without preliminary basting. To prevent the stitching line from shifting, it will be enough to fix it in several places with sewing pins.
  • Having outlined the waist line (you can attach the product to the figure with the wrong side), sew on the drawstring, leaving room for threading elastic bands (the width of the stitching seam is 0.1 cm). The drawstring around the waist must be one-piece, including passing over the side seams. Dividing the width of the part into three parts, lay two more lines for elastic bands, also leaving a small gap for threading.
  • Having measured the elastic bands of the desired size, they are threaded and connected into rings. The waist is evenly distributed.

  • After shaping the waist, you need to complete the work with the top of the sundress. To do this, take a satin ribbon and thread it into loops, then cut off the excess length and carefully singe the ends of the ribbon. It remains to collect the straps and sew them to the top, without going beyond the upper border of the line.

The model is convenient in that it allows you to change the width of the top to simplify putting on. This sarafan looks stylish and beautiful.

Patterns of models for a teenage girl

Teenagers are a little more difficult to pick up a pattern. The thing is that the figure is just beginning to take shape, and each girl has her own way. However, here you can simplify the task of tailoring: When choosing templates for cutting, you need to start from four measurements: bust, hips, waist and height.

All of them matter. Even if the first three are observed, but not taking into account the height of the girl, it is possible to complicate the process of tailoring, because in the calculation and construction, a lot depends on the height.

If the model is simple, for example, flared or trapezoidal, you may need only the size of the hip circumference. In this case, the pattern will look like a rectangle, which, with the help of an elastic thread-gum, will turn into a fitted model. Moreover, it is very quick and easy to make such a sundress: having connected the side seams, having processed the bottom and top, you need to arrange the bodice in parallel lines with a distance of 1 cm (from the top to the waistline).

Another option is a pattern in the form of a trapezoid, combined with a square at the base. The bottom of the pattern is rounded, the top is a straight line. For construction, you need to measure the girth of the chest, hips and length. Allowances for freedom of fitting must be added to the measurements. Having made a template, cut out the base of the sundress and straps (two strips of fabric along the share).

Having connected the side sections and overcast them, they process the bottom of the product, and then proceed to the bodice. First, the armholes are tucked and stitched, and then the top is folded over (separately backs and shelves) and sewn up. It remains to collect the straps, thread the top of the back and shelves into the resulting channels, tying them in a knot.

If there is a comfortable T-shirt available, you can cut out a sundress with it. To do this, the product is applied to the fabric, the neck and armholes are circled with a pencil, and then a flared line is drawn. Such a sundress will be light and comfortable, and besides, fashionable. The only difficulty in sewing is the processing of the neck and armholes with single facings. Bake will simplify the appearance.

DIY school sundress

When a girl goes to school, I want her to be the best. It is no secret that it is more difficult to choose a uniform: often a school sundress looks baggy, so it often has to be corrected. Those who are set for the perfect result can sew a sundress for school on their own. To do this, they take as a basis a pattern from magazines or seen on the Internet on forums dedicated to needlework.

Unfortunately, it is not easy to find a high-quality pattern of a school sundress; its construction is often confusing. But if you look closely at the templates, there is nothing super complicated in them: you can make them yourself. For example, a skirt is a rectangular piece of fabric pleated. The bodice is a T-shirt with reliefs (side parts) coming from the armholes.
