Varavvy, together with the Krasnodar branch of PJSC Rostelecom, created a new intellectual project “IQ above average”, within the framework of which students of the Krasnodar Cooperative Institute, the head of the department of management and trade, Gorlachev P.V. and psychologist of the youth policy center Pogodina E. Msstali participants of the creative meeting.

For the first time our President Vladimir Putin spoke about “spiritual bonds”. Today, Russian society is experiencing a clear shortage of spiritual bonds: mercy, sympathy, compassion for each other, support and mutual assistance - a shortage of what has always, at all times historically, made us stronger, stronger, which we have always been proud of.

KubSU professor Andrey Aleksandrovich Ostapenko was invited to the lecture “Spiritual Bonds of Our Fatherland.” In a lively conversation with guests and children, he emphasized that “Being Russian means not only speaking Russian. But it means to perceive Russia with your heart... - To be Russian means to believe in Russia as all Russian great people believed in it, all its geniuses who built it. Only on this faith will we be able to confirm our fight for it and our victory... Without faith in Russia, we ourselves cannot live, and we cannot revive it.”

The concept of “spiritual bonds” became famous after Vladimir Putin used it in his address to the Federal Assembly on December 12, 2012. According to the President of Russia, society experiences “a shortage of what has always, in all historical times, made us stronger, stronger, what we have always been proud of " What did he mean? By “spiritual bonds” were meant moral values: mercy, sympathy, compassion for each other, mutual understanding, support and mutual assistance. But what is Valaam and what does he have to do with human morality and spirituality? Many of you have probably not heard of this place, but some, on the contrary, have even managed to visit. In both cases, so much the better.

The Gifted Children portal is launching for you new competition, dedicated to the history and culture of the island of Valaam, located in the northern part Lake Ladoga in Karelia. This land is considered a “place of power” with special energy. Such places have become sources of human spiritual and physical strength. These are usually areas associated with important historical events or religious activities. Valaam is an archipelago consisting of 52 islands. Its name comes from the name of the largest island on which the village of Valaam is located. On the island there are amazing buildings of sacred architecture: the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Valaam Monastery and its main Spaso-Preobrazhensky Valaam Cathedral. The population of the island is very small, about 500 people, most of them are monks. After traveling through Valaam, some people’s worldview changes, and they choose new road in life. People who were previously far from religion are beginning to turn to God.

What other “places of power” do you know? We hope that you can tell us about other holy places, and based on your work we will launch new interesting competitions.

Competition task: Study the history and culture of the island of Valaam and write an essay. In your work, answer the questions about the value of Valaam for Russia and why it is considered a “place of power,” and also tell us about another “place of power” you know and its role in people’s lives.

The competition is held jointly with the Orthodox cultural and educational center “Light of Valaam”

Essay evaluation criteria:

  • depth of the topic;
  • text dynamism;
  • the persuasiveness of the material presented;
  • compliance of the content of the work with the stated goal;
  • speech literacy;
  • consistency;
  • creativity;
  • originality of the text.

The winners of the competition will be awarded diplomas of I, II, III degrees, and will also receive GIFTS.

Competition results:

The winners of the competition, in their essays and reflections, spoke interestingly and emotionally about the island, its value for Russia, shared with us thoughts about why Valaam is called the “place of power”, and remembered other similar places. Some of them have already been able to visit there, while others only dream about it. And we wish them that their dream will come true.

So, the results:

1 place- Matvey Belokon and Liliya Glushko

Matvey showed in detail and comprehensively the importance of Valaam for the Fatherland. In addition, he shared his impressions of visiting another of the main places of pilgrimage - the Holy Trinity Alexander-Svirsky Monastery.

Lilia’s work impressed me with her good knowledge not only of the history of Valaam, but also of her family. Her reasoning “about spiritual bonds” makes the reader think.

2nd place- Fateev Dmitry

It should be especially noted that Dmitry is only 8 years old, and he already talks so deeply and philosophically about the shrines of the Russian land and about “what Russia lacks for happiness.”

3rd place– Podgornaya Sophia

Sophia is 9 years old. Her thoughts about Valaam as an island where peace and harmony reign, and about the influence of this place on people are interesting.

We thank the winners for interesting works! We hope that they will continue to study the history and culture of our Fatherland.

“Battlefields Glory to Russia” - Kulikovo Field, Borodino Field.

1380 Kulikovo Field, under the Moscow banners, Russian soldiers under the leadership of Prince Dmitry Donskoy defeated the Mongol-Tatars. It was from this victory over the Horde that Rus' began to play a leading role in the destinies of Eastern Europe and the entire Slavic people. With the Victory on the Kulikovo Field, Rus' became united, Russian statehood and our national identity were born, then we united for the first time in order to continue to fight together the enemies who attacked Rus', and there were many more of them. On September 21, we celebrated the 635th anniversary of the Victory over the Golden Horde. With the help of 4th grade students, they prepared the exhibition “Kulikovo Field”, and 6th grade students. published a guidebook “The Battle of Kulikovo, Historical Memory”. Children in grades 5-8 watched the film “Dmitry Donskoy. Battle of Kulikovo".

203 years that separate us from the dramatic events of 1812, many memorable places, museums, protected areas have been created to perpetuate the memory of Patriotic War and its heroes. Today Borodino Field is an unforgettable museum-reserve. There are monuments on the field - monuments dedicated to the two Patriotic Wars. It's always nice to touch and feel the spirit of centuries-old history. At the beginning of September, the museum staff and the 8th grade visited Borodino. We visited the museum and got acquainted with the exhibitions and displays. It pleases the soul that the memory of those distant events does not go away, but is preserved and multiplied. In addition to visiting the museum-reserve, the school museum held a quiz “On the Roads of 1812”, prepared short reports about memorable places in Moscow dedicated to the War of 1812, and the 9th grade watched the educational film “Borodino, 1812”.

“The greatness of a people lies in what it carries in its heart!”

On the eve of the Day national unity it's time to remember them

The authorities have been fighting for these very bonds over the past few years, declaring the return of morality, spirituality and other traditional values to society. The Duma adopted a huge number of godly laws. Such as, for example, a ban on gay propaganda or insulting the feelings of believers.

Family values, patriotism, mercy, chastity - this is the main list of spiritual bonds. Yes, also the Russian Orthodox Church. It’s just not clear what representatives of other faiths should do with this bond.

The patriotism of our citizens, it should be noted, is very high. True, it is expressed somehow one-sidedly. We love to hang them St. George's ribbons anywhere and everywhere. Above billboards and on cemetery fences and monuments. But most of all they are hung on personal cars, clinging to the bumper or antenna. After a few days of driving through our not-so-clean city, this symbol of patriotism turns into a dirty rag. In addition to ribbons, all kinds of inscriptions are placed on cars. For example, “To Berlin”. And when a car with such an inscription moves somewhere from Saratov towards Engels, doubt involuntarily arises whether I remember the geography accurately. And has Berlin moved from west to east?

We also have very big patriots - football fans. You often see them on the streets with Russian flags during all kinds of matches. And you not only see, but also hear. And having yelled until they were hoarse and celebrating the victory (or the bitterness of defeat) with stronger drinks, these patriots settle down to take a break from the deeds of the righteous right here on the bench. But can you really blame them for this? Especially if they drank such a national drink as vodka.
