The reasons why a boy died in Grodno, who was resting in a camp near birch bark. The death of children in Russian camps: what tragedies have occurred over the past nine years A boy from the camp died in Grodno

The death of a nine-year-old boy who was brought to the hospital from a children's camp near Bolshaya Berestovitsa shocked many. While the investigation is ongoing, many refuse to answer journalists' questions. And yet the correspondents of "SG" found out the details.

The family has been living in the agricultural town of Pogranichny, Berestovitsky District, since January of this year. The boy has a brother, a 4th grade student, and a 9th grader sister, they said at the school in the agro-town. The director of the educational institution, Inna Kerget, added that their mother and stepfather are raising them, and their grandmother helps them. The family is in good standing, not registered with the SOP.

The Berestovitsky children's health camp refused to comment on the incident. But they confirmed that the boy was really recovering with them.
From the camp, Vladik was brought to the Berestovitskaya Central District Hospital.

- This is a sensation for you. And we did not sleep for three days and three nights, we did not eat. We are also living people, all in stress. Commission of the Ministry of Health, and all possible commissions, we already had. All documentation seized, call the Investigative Committee, advised in the hospital.

We got through to the grandmother of the late boy, Nina Evgenievna:

- He was so affectionate. He didn’t want to go to the camp, he hugged my neck before leaving and said: “Grandma, I love you so much.” I reassured him: they say, I can’t do anything, so my parents decided, you need to go. And then he asked: "Will you come to me?" “I will,” I promised. He also asked me to buy him a car. I didn’t have time ... They buried him in Gritsevichi, the grave next to his grandfather’s. My daughter was not allowed to attend the funeral, she is 34 weeks pregnant. She lay in storage in Volkovysk. When she found out about Vladik's death, she felt worse, she was transferred to Grodno. I myself fainted at the funeral, I still don’t believe how this could happen ...

According to Vlad's grandmother, he graduated from the first grade of the Grodno special boarding school for children with visual impairments, and was visually impaired. On weekends, a 9-year-old boy came to his parents or stayed with his great-aunt in Grodno. The child had an older sister and brother. Now his mother got married a second time, Vladik called his stepfather dad.

At the Grodno boarding school, it was not possible to talk with the management: the director, the deputy director for medical work and the pediatrician went on vacation on Monday.

Did you manage to find out the cause of death? Head of Department of the State Committee forensic examinations in the Grodno region, Larisa Bober spread her hands: the diagnosis is still being specified, preliminary forensic experts saw manifestations of sepsis. However, in order to accurately establish the pathogen and cause of death, the results of virological and bacteriological studies are needed.

The mother of a child who went healthy to a children's camp near Berestovitsa and then died in a hospital found out how her son spent his last day of life, writes Sputnik.by.

“I am the mother of Vladik Dudovsky. Recently released from the hospital. I want to know what happened to my son, ”Lyudmila turned to doctors from Berestovitsa with such a question. The woman spent the whole day in the regional hospital and found out that her 9-year-old child, who has a visual impairment, was in a diaper for some reason she did not understand, and the doctors could not put him in the infectious diseases department, because it did not work.

Vladik comes every night and asks: "Mom, don't cry!"

“I just got out of the hospital myself. I know about what happened to Vladik from the stories of my daughter, relatives and bystanders who saw him then. We were told that Vladik had been waiting for a very long time in the emergency room at the Berestovitskaya hospital until he was taken to the ward and prescribed treatment. It haunts me,” says Lyudmila on the way from Grodno to Berestovitsa.

Lyudmila's son Vladislav suddenly died four months ago. Since then, the woman practically did not leave the hospitals and could not even attend the funeral of a child. First, she was in the hospital with a difficult pregnancy, then with a prematurely born baby, then with increased pressure due to nerves.

According to the woman, she always thinks about the day when her son became ill, and tries to understand at what point everything went wrong. After all, before going to the camp, the child was healthy, there is a certificate. Lyudmila admits: she does not sleep at night, takes antidepressants and wants to know why the doctors could not detect and cure the common cold in time.

“I started having pressure problems. The doctor said it was nerves. And the priest in the church advised to think of Vladik as a living person. Otherwise, you can’t get out of this grief, ”adds Lyudmila.

Almost every night, the son comes to her in a dream, talking. He never liked to see his mother cry. And now every time she asks: “Mommy, don’t cry, otherwise I won’t come to you.” “For his sake, I try to hold on,” says the mother.

Why is the boy wearing a diaper?

The woman came to the Berestovitskaya hospital with questions: why it was not possible to save Vlad, and how he spent the last day of his life. She is afraid that in the case of the death of her child, there may not be any guilty at all. And everything will be attributed to weak immunity or force majeure, as the doctors of the district hospital were now trying to explain to her.

“What can I tell you? We told the Investigative Committee everything” or “Let the authorities tell you,” how the doctors answered the mother’s request to provide at least some details using a blueprint. But looking at a woman baby hands, began to communicate.

For example, the surgeon told the mother interesting fact. When he came to examine Vladik, he saw that he was wearing a diaper, the smell from him was unpleasant. The mother is surprised: “My son never had enuresis. What is it for?

According to the doctor, that morning the boy was lethargic, he had to ask questions several times. The doctor even decided that the boy had developmental disabilities.

But Lyudmila explains that this is not like him: “The son was very smart, smart, sociable, he always talked quickly.”

The doctor told the mother that the boy from the emergency room was sent to intensive care. They found that he did not give urine, it seemed incomprehensible, so they decided to send the child to Grodno.

True, none of the other doctors with whom the woman spoke confirmed the words about the diaper. Both the nurse from the camp, and the doctor on duty, and the deputy head physician for the medical unit assured that this could not be, because there were no diapers in the hospital or in the camp.

Waited from 06:30 to 9 am?

A nurse from the children's camp brought the child to the emergency room of the Berestovitskaya hospital at about 06:30 am on Saturday, June 10. And half an hour later she went back, leaving the child with local doctors.

She explained to her mother that the boy had felt unwell the day before - on Friday afternoon he had a fever and vomiting. The child was placed in an isolation ward, but in the evening they took him to dinner, the child did not refuse food. She recalls that the boy, despite the prohibitions, got hold of and ate a chocolate bar somewhere, and suggested that it could get worse from him. He spent the night in isolation to exclude suspicions of an intestinal infection.

“The night passed calmly, and around 6 in the morning the temperature rose sharply, his stomach ached, and I took him to the hospital with suspected appendicitis,” nurse Elena explained.

She recalled that the boy did not want to go to the hospital, on the way he assured that he felt better, and in the emergency room he asked: “Aunt Lena, take me back.”

“Agree, a sick child will not ask to go back to the camp,” Elena added. But the mother is sure that the son was just making up excuses so as not to end up in a hospital bed again.

Lyudmila managed to find a doctor who was finishing his night duty when Vladislav was brought in. The doctor said that she immediately called all the necessary specialists, and claimed that at that time everything was done that was possible at the level of the emergency room of the district hospital. According to her, before 8 am the boy was examined by specialists (pediatrician, surgeon and others), a blood test was taken. At the end of her duty, the diagnosis of the child was not clear.

The mother tried to find out how much time the child spent in the emergency room, but the only thing she managed to find out was that around 9 o'clock in the morning the boy was supposed to be sent to the ward.

“It turns out that at least two to two and a half hours he waited for the decision of the specialists,” the mother calculated.

Entire branch closed for holidays

Most doctors assured that the child felt well. But from the emergency room, Vladislav was sent not to a regular ward, but to intensive care. The doctors explained that it was a forced decision.

According to them, the child was supposed to be put in the infectious diseases department. But at that time it was closed, and its employees were on vacation. The hospital clarified that it is a common practice for them to close an entire department during the vacation period.

The deputy doctor for medical affairs tried to explain to the woman that the child was being helped. In particular, symptomatic treatment was carried out. The boy was observed by a resuscitator. In the afternoon they took repeated tests, gathered a council and came to the conclusion that it was necessary to turn to the Grodno colleagues.

“There were indirect signs indicating the presence of the virus, leukocytes were reduced, but at first they did not pay attention to this. He was given antibiotics, but they do not work on the virus. AT Grodno boy brought closer to six o'clock in the evening, "- said the deputy head physician.

The mother asked: “Why weren’t they taken to the regional hospital earlier?” The doctor explained that an experienced doctor was watching Vladik, who was trying to understand the clinical picture, and by about two in the afternoon it became clear to him that the case was too complicated and incomprehensible.

The hospital is sure: they will punish to the fullest extent

The head physician of the Berestovitskaya hospital gave the mother of the deceased Vladislav Dudovsky about 5 minutes. She explained that the investigators had taken all the medical documentation, the Ministry of Health was conducting checks, and now they themselves will decide who is to blame for this story. The head herself did not undertake to judge whether the medical personnel subordinate to her acted correctly.

Many doctors in Berestovitsa are sure that the punishment will be very severe.

“This case is being monitored in Minsk, no one will escape responsibility here. Maybe even more severely punished than necessary. For others to see and be afraid,” one of the local doctors is sure.

Another explained that anyone could be in such a situation, and doctors cannot be blamed for this.

Could the virus have picked up before the camp?

The investigation into the case is ongoing. Recall that a month and a half ago, the results of the examination became known, which showed that the cause of death of 9-year-old Vladislav Dudovsky was the bocavirus. This is a common cold, which affects from 5 to 15% of the population of Belarus every year.

“Recently, the investigator asked me to write a statement, whom I would like to accuse. I want all those responsible to be punished. We gave a healthy child to the camp, and after a few days he was gone,” the mother complains.

The investigator told her that now the investigation is trying to figure out where the child could have caught the virus, which became fatal for him. One of the versions is that the boy became infected even before he arrived at the camp. The mother is sure that this could have happened in the hospital.

“Almost before leaving for the camp, Vladik was in the infectious diseases department of the Berestovitskaya hospital with bronchitis. But just at that time, all the children were suddenly transferred from the infectious diseases department to the usual one. Children were free to walk along the corridor and communicate with each other. Infectious then went on vacation,” the woman adds.

Recall that 9-year-old Vladislav went to a children's health camp near Berestovitsa on a free ticket from the education department in early June. Two days after his arrival, he developed a high temperature and was nauseous. Employees of the DOL knocked it down on their own. The next day, the child was taken to a local hospital, where doctors tried to save the child.

In the evening, the child was sent to Grodno in a serious condition. On the morning of June 11, the boy died. Upon his death, a criminal case was opened.

March 24, 2010 A 14-year-old boy drowned in the swimming pool of a children's health camp in Tobolsk. The child went to swim in a life jacket, as he did not know how to swim. After some time, he was found at the bottom of the pool. The vest floated separately from the body.

As far as can be judged, most often children die while swimming. Educators must be sure to check the resting places and instruct children what to do in unforeseen situations. And the inspection services clearly do their job, and do not treat inspections negligently.

- My child was dying in terrible agony, but it turned out that they would not initiate a criminal case, which means that no one would be punished. Although the experts admitted that the examination and treatment of my son was poor at the district hospital,- the woman says with tears in her eyes, writes Sputnik Belarus.

Last summer, the boy died of a common cold. The woman is sure that if the child was immediately sent from the regional hospital to Grodno, then her son would be alive. They kept me in the emergency room for almost two hours.

The family has already been informed that they will not open a criminal case on the fact of the boy's death.

Recall that 9-year-old Vlad went on a free ticket to a children's camp on June 6 last year, healthy and vigorous. On the morning of June 10, the boy was taken to the district hospital in Berestovitsa with high temperature and abdominal pains, in the evening he was sent to the children's regional hospital in Grodno in a very serious condition, where he died in the morning. A little later, an examination showed that the cause of death was a bocavirus (common cold) with various complications.

The family, according to documents, restored the chronology of the fatal day for Vlad. The boy was brought to the Berestovitskaya district hospital at 6:25 am on June 10. From the very beginning, the doctors stated that the child's condition was serious, and the diagnosis was not clear. Despite this, until 8:15 a.m. the boy was in the emergency room, without prescribed treatment. From the explanations of the doctors, one can read that as of 8 o'clock in the morning not all tests were ready.

- Why keep a small child with an unclear diagnosis in the emergency room for so long and delay with tests?- complains the mother.

He was alone there, because the nurse from the children's camp who brought him had to leave. People who were in the hospital at that time and saw Vladik told his mother that the boy asked for a drink, complained of feeling unwell, but no one approached him.

Thought it was appendicitis or acetone poisoning

From the emergency room, the child was sent to the intensive care unit and made the first appointment of drugs. His condition did not improve, and the diagnosis remained unclear. Vladislav's stepfather recalls a conversation with a resuscitator that took place that day. The family did not immediately find out that the child was in the hospital.

- At about 11 o'clock in the afternoon, I arrived at the hospital, demanded that Vlad be transferred to Grodno. But the doctor from the intensive care unit then told me that the guy took a sip of acetone, that he would come to his senses in the evening, and in a couple of days he would run healthy again Andrey says.

The man was then surprised: “What acetone, where from?” He is now convinced that it was a misdiagnosis that wasted valuable time. True, this diagnosis does not appear in the medical records now.

Only at 15:00, 8 hours after the admission of the child with an unclear diagnosis, a council of doctors gathered in the hospital and decided to send the boy to Grodno.

In total, Vladik spent 10 hours in the district hospital. During this time, as the parents managed to find out, the child had twice a blood test, an ultrasound, and an x-ray. In Vladislav's medical record at the Berestovitskaya hospital, it is recorded that he was prescribed only a few simple drugs.

They brought to Grodno to die

The mother is sure that such diagnostic measures were not enough for her boy, especially considering the fact that doctors from the very beginning could not understand how and what to treat him for.

- If the district doctors had immediately called more experienced specialists from Grodno, then complications during Vladik's illness could have been avoided, he would have remained alive,- says Ludmila.

Judging by the medical documents that the parents saw, already in the children's regional hospital, Vladik was diagnosed with blood poisoning of an unknown cause, there was a suspicion of a viral infection, and the child was in a very serious condition.

For more than 12 hours, Grodno doctors carried out intensive therapy, performed tests and examinations. But the child's condition worsened every hour. He showed signs of pneumonia. Three hours after admission to the hospital, the boy was transferred to artificial lung ventilation. Identified renal failure, various lesions internal organs and other pathologies that parents cannot talk about without tears.

In the middle of the night, the temperature rose to 40 ° C, it was impossible to bring it down. In the morning, the child's fingers began to get cold, the body temperature rose to 41°C and also did not go astray.

At 7:30 the boy's heart stopped. Resuscitation measures lasted more than half an hour, but did not bring a positive effect. At 8:10 the doctors pronounced him dead.

Once again looking through the papers, Lyudmila concludes: “He was brought to Grodno to die. The Grodno doctors did their best, but it was too late."

In the work of the district hospital found shortcomings

Now the mother asks questions: why the district hospital was inactive for almost 10 hours, why the doctors who were supposed to carry out more active diagnostics and treatment did not take the necessary measures, and why the hospital management still remains in their places, none of the doctors was suspended from work at the hospital. check time?

In the audit documents, the family found the conclusions of two commissions that evaluated the work of the district clerk and the quality of care medical care Vladislav Dudovsky. They say that in the intensive care unit of the Berestovitskaya district hospital diagnostic studies and the treatment did not fully correspond to the severity of the child’s condition, and the medical consultation and the transfer of the boy to the regional hospital had to be organized more early dates. Moreover, given the severity of the condition, the child spent too long and unreasonably in the emergency room.

Mother: You wouldn't wish such a death on your enemy either.

- It turns out that the district doctors did almost nothing. Because of ignorance, or because of unwillingness, they did not send Vladik to more experienced specialists and reached the point that his son's condition became critical. Such a death that my son had, and the pain that I had to endure, you would not wish even on your worst enemy. I don't want anyone else to experience this again. Why has no one raised the question of their qualifications? These doctors continue to work, says the mother.

In addition, at the time of Vladislav's admission to the district hospital, the infectious diseases department was not working in it, and all the specialists who could examine the child and possibly see the symptoms of the bocavirus were on vacation. No one called them urgently to examine the boy, as indicated in the job descriptions approved by the head physician of the hospital.

Now the family has received time to study all the materials of the test. They have the opportunity to appeal against the decision on the impossibility to initiate a criminal case.

12-year-old Sasha Bochkov died after morning exercises in the Chaika children's health camp in the Sredneakhtubinsky district of the Volgograd region. Investigators are now investigating the circumstances of his death. Sasha's mom and dad, who have suffered terrible grief, do not know how to tell their daughter that her brother is no more.

Photo: Bochkov family archive

According to Sasha's mother Anastasia Bochkova, he grew up active, healthy child and there were no signs of trouble.

My son has loved sports since childhood. From an early age he went to the pool for swimming, played football in FC Olympia. The football coach said that he was an individualist and there was no need to torment the boy with playing sports, Anastasia recalls. - Then Sasha took up boxing at the Golden Glove club and could achieve high results. The boxer's passport was his favorite and most valuable document. Some people are afraid of boxing. But Sasha came home from football with big bruises and scratches. On football and boots, and the ball hit. In this regard, boxing is safer. The son was fond of not only sports - he was engaged in robotics, played the piano ...

"Just breathe..."

Irina Khutornaya, director of the Chaika DZOL, told the website that medical checkup Sasha was not seen when he arrived at the children's camp.

The guys checked in at about 2:00 pm. We had lunch. At the party, they met other children, went to a disco and went to bed, - says Irina Khutornaya. - It was a very busy day. Each child must have a medical card with them upon arrival at the camp. Sasha Bochkov also had additional certificates with ECG results attached. On June 21, they did not examine the boxers who had arrived. We usually do this the next day after check-in. Children are weighed, asked if they are allergic to anything in order to select a menu. They also measure blood pressure. On the day of arrival, the guys, of course, had nothing: no warm-ups, no training, as required by the rules. Physically, he did not strain.

Before lights out, I dialed him. Sasha said that he was fine and it was time for him to go to bed. Announced quiet time. And quickly said goodbye: "Bye, bye ..."

The trouble came in the morning. Sasha lost consciousness during the morning warm-up on June 22, when, after a run, he pulled himself up on the horizontal bar.

Maybe he had a headache since morning, but he didn't say anything to anyone. His coach Sergei Solovyov called at 8:30 in the morning and said that Sasha fell and began to turn blue, Anastasia cries. - I will always remember these terrible words: "Sasha is all blue." I asked Sergei not to interrupt the call, and he ran to Sasha. I heard everything. He put down the phone next to him and tried to resuscitate his son. The words sounded from the phone: "Sasha, breathe, just breathe."

The boy was taken by ambulance from the camp to the intensive care unit of the Sreneakhtuba regional hospital. But the doctors could not save the child.

My husband and I took about an hour to get to the hospital. The coach came there with Sasha. We called him many times along the way. During the third call, Sergei began to apologize to us. We began to think about the worst.

The ambulance doctors later told my mother that they understood at first glance that it would be difficult to save Sasha. They did everything they could. Started a stopped heart with a defibrillator. But nothing helped.

In the hospital, when Sasha was no longer there, the husband gathered his courage and asked to see his son, - says Anastasia. - The husband examined it all. There were only traces of a defibrillator on the body. Valera did not find any signs of injury or bruising. I think my son died on the way to the hospital.

The investigation will show

Investigators interviewed Sasha's parents immediately after the incident.

It's good that we had a conversation with them then. When awareness has not yet come. They communicate in a very unique way. They say: “What, mom? Just wanted your child to go to camp? One cardiologist did not give a certificate, went to another, and gave? What did they put in the camp, right? Anastasia recalls. - They represent everything as if we didn’t care, if only Sasha was engaged in boxing, and that’s it. But I hope that the investigators will find out everything to the end.

The mother of the deceased boy has no complaints about the health camp "Chaika" and the coaches of the sports section.

Firstly, they only saw my child for a day, but everyone there is now shaking because of what happened. And the coaches brought him up for four years. They were like family to Sasha. Sergei Solovyov at first thought that his heart had failed. He is also very hard. He apologized and asked for forgiveness for what had happened. But I don't see it as his fault. We met them at the cemetery. It's a pity to look at the coaches. They tried as best they could to pump out their son, but failed.

In the conclusion of the forensic expert, Sasha was diagnosed with cerebral edema. But doctors will be able to answer why the tragedy happened to him in a month, when the results of histological studies appear. In Sasha's medical history, there were references to a congenital cyst in the brain. And parents, and doctors, and coaches knew about it. According to Anastasia Bochkova, they were found in the boy when he first decided to box.

After undergoing the first MRI, without which young athletes are not allowed to train and compete, I was told that Sasha had brain cysts. They were obtained in the perinatal period as a result of fetal hypoxia. They reassured me then, they said that many children have them. They advised to monitor the child, periodically undergo examinations and monitor their development.

First call

After graduating from the sixth grade of the 96th school of the Dzerzhinsky district, Sasha was enrolled in the Youth School No. 9. But a month ago, during the lessons, he suddenly lost consciousness.

It happened at the beginning of May. Sasha fainted during class. They called an ambulance. He was brought to himself for about 20 minutes. The ammonia helped. The son was taken to the neurological department of the eighth hospital, where he was examined. During the hospitalization, I talked about boxing, showed the results of an MRI and papers about a congenital brain cyst. Provided full medical history. It's all recorded in medical card. Sasha was worried that he might be banned from playing sports, but I still told the doctor about it.

In February before the Southern federal district in Astrakhan, Sasha, like other boxers, underwent a mandatory examination, including an examination by a neurologist, a neurosurgeon and an MRI. Therefore, MRI after an attack in the hospital decided not to do.

I understand that MRI is done once a year. We did it in February before the tournament in Astrakhan, and ended up in the hospital in May. We were told that it was not necessary. Why didn't they do it again? So what if a year hasn't passed? - Sasha Bochkov's mother is perplexed. - The doctor said that he did not need our MRI, and most importantly, an electroencephalogram of the brain. We did it in two different clinics to eliminate the error. No abnormalities or brain dysfunctions were found. When we were discharged, we were told that the attack was due to overwork and hormonal changes. General supportive drugs were prescribed. Glycine and others. Now all these papers are with the investigators. I think if they had done this MRI and said that the cyst had grown, we would have been sitting at home.

The doctors didn't even warn us.

Before going to Chaika, Sasha went through all the doctors at polyclinic No. 5 at his place of residence.

After discharge, we had no training at all for a week before the camp. We abandoned them because we wanted to wait for the results of the medical examination and decided not to risk our health. They made several ECGs to look at his condition in dynamics. We were waiting for the results to be sure that everything is in order and there is no threat to health. Sasha did not go to training, he ate before the camp. The doctors said that everything is perfect and excellent. It turned out that this was not the case.

At home at the Bochkovs, only the head of the family, Valery, outwardly restrains his emotions. He does not yet know how to explain the loss of his brother to his six-year-old daughter. And he does not understand why the doctors who examined his son in the spring did not warn parents and coaches about the terrible threat.

We don't understand anything at all. We did not hide anything from anyone about his state of health, we underwent examinations, - the parents are perplexed. - But the child was in the hospital a month ago, and the doctors did not find anything. As we understand, it was impossible to help him. I have only one question: has it really been less than a month since the disease developed? And if not, why did the doctors miss it?
