Paper slipper

Although our craft is called "Paper Shoe", you will need some more materials to create it:

  • corrugated paper (can be replaced with regular color paper);
  • cardboard;
  • decorative paper or satin ribbon;
  • a small piece of thick foam;
  • decorative flowers;
  • a cocktail tube or a straight stick;
  • glue gun, pencil, scissors.

As you can see, everyone can find such materials without leaving home. Therefore, our master class is available to craftswomen of absolutely any skill level. Before you start cutting out patterns and gluing flowers, I recommend thinking about the image of the craft itself, i.e. what it will look like when finished. Then you can easily go from stage to stage, completing all the steps quickly and without errors.

DIY paper slipper

So in our master class we will repeat the same forms, only with the help of cardboard and foam. And we will make a decorative design from paper, decorative flowers and ribbons. As you can see, a do-it-yourself shoe is not a complicated, but at the same time, a beautiful and attractive decoration for any festive situation.

If you want to make a shoe out of paper, then I can offer you several templates according to which you can fold and glue this craft yourself. DIY shoe

To make a shoe with your own hands beautiful and neat, try to stick to sizes and proportions. But, even if you missed something somewhere or walked with scissors in the wrong way, do not rush to throw out the workpiece. Try to beat this nuance, not hiding it, but rather emphasizing it. For example, an ugly cut made can be made as if someone had bitten off a piece of a shoe, with teeth marks, with jagged edges, etc. Unusual? Yes. But very original.

How to make a shoe with your own hands

Let's start our master class, in which you will learn how to make a shoe with your own hands from improvised materials.

At the first stage, we cut out the sole from cardboard, trying to keep the proportions as much as possible. Take corrugated cardboard, and cut the sole across the lines. So the sole will be easier to bend and it will take the correct shape.

Then we cut out the nose of the shoe and the henpecked from the foam. To draw cut lines, use the already cut out cardboard sole, applying it over the foam and tracing along the contour. Make the henpecked part in the form of a cone, into which carefully (so as not to destroy the structure of the foam) insert the cocktail tube. To make this operation easier, you can use a heated knitting needle to pre-make a hole in the foam cone, where you can then insert the tube-heel.

Now glue the foam blanks to the cardboard sole, after giving it the desired shape.

The turn of the paper has come, with which we will decorate our shoe. Select the desired color of crepe paper and glue the sole on top and sides. Wrap the heel of the shoe with strips of the same paper, securing it with glue. Be careful not to leave jagged edges or protruding ends.

We decorate the sides with a narrow paper tape grabbing it by the edge. Instead of a paper ribbon, you can also use satin or any other ribbon that, in its design, fits the outer decor of the shoe.

The time has come for the last stage of our master class on creating paper shoes with your own hands. Decorate the nose of the craft with a large decorative flower so that it covers the entire front of our “shoes”, and the leaves hang a little. This will give naturalness to the whole composition. If you do not have a finished decorative flower, then you can use our lessons in which we did , , and create a similar decoration yourself.

The heel of the shoe can also be decorated with small flowers by gluing them one above the other. Additionally, the edge of the shoe can be decorated with a butterfly, rhinestones, a chain and other similar decor.

So our do-it-yourself shoe made of paper, cardboard, with a flower and a variety of decor is ready. Such a beautiful craft can be used both as an independent gift and as a decor for decorating the main present.

Do-it-yourself paper shoes are ready!

We bring to your attention the option of making a souvenir shoe with your own hands and simple materials.

To make a souvenir shoe you will need:

Corrugated board;

Penoplex;

corrugated paper;

Denim;

Decorative braid;

Double sided cattle;

Scissors, pencil, hot glue;

Decor at will: sweets, flowers, beads, ribbons, etc.

Souvenir shoe step by step:

We cut out 2 blanks from corrugated cardboard - soles for shoes (photo 1).

From the penoplex we cut out a "triangle". To do this, put the sole on the penoplex, and circle the shape of the toe with a pencil. Cutting off the excess, we gradually shape the platform for the shoe. We make any height of the platform (photo 2).

We glue two-sided cattle on one sole. We glue several pieces of wire on the adhesive tape. From above we fix with a simple wide adhesive tape (photo 3.1). Lubricate the surface of the workpiece with hot glue (photo 3.2).

We glue two layers of cardboard. This must be done quickly before the glue hardens. And as we glue, we give our sole the desired bend (photo 4).

We glue a layer of cardboard on the upper part of the sole with hot glue, but already thin ... (this is done so that the surface of the sole is even and smooth) (photo 5). Excess must be cut off (photo 6.1). We glue the platform onto the hot glue (photo 6.2).

We glue a layer of ordinary cardboard and not the back (lower) side of the sole (by analogy with photo 5). We cut off the excess (photo 7).

Cut out the heel from the foam. We sand it. For reliability, we insert a skewer into the lower part of the hairpin (photo 8).

We glue the heel with corrugated paper (photo 9). On the upper part we glue corrugated paper or fabric (in this case denim). We also glue the platform with corrugation.

We glue the lower part of the shoe with corrugated paper (photo 11). We decorate the sides and “seams” with braid (photo 12).

Glue the heel onto the hot glue (photo 13). We glue the insole and the shoe is almost ready! It remains to decorate it with sweets, flowers, ribbons and beads.

We proceed to the manufacture of decor (to your taste).
