The project was designed to awaken children preschool age interest in literary works through the work of G. Tukay. During the implementation of the project, the following tasks were set: 1) To introduce children to the great poet G. One of the brightest representatives of the Tatar culture is the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukay. April 2015 marks the 129th anniversary of his birth. Over the years, we have become more aware of the significance of creativity and the greatness of Tukay's personality. It is very important that children from an early age accumulate love and respect for the personality of the great poet. Gabdulla Tukay is not just a great poet, but a symbol of the history and love of the entire Tatar people. Even today, he teaches us and our children to understand this complex world with all its troubles and worries. Learn to live and scream, laugh and cry, appreciate and cherish the love for your loved ones in the daily chaos of today's life. The more emotional, expressive impressions the child receives in childhood, through the works of the poet, the more bright, creative person with high spiritual and moral qualities he will become in the future. Thus, all this once again emphasizes the importance and necessity of studying the work of Gabdulla Tukay.

To introduce children to the great poet of the Tatar people G. Tukay, introducing them to his difficult life path. 2. To reveal the figurative language of Tukay's poems and fairy tales. 3. To cultivate love, respect and inexhaustible interest in the works of G. Tukay. 4. To form in children through reading works, watching animated films based on the works of Tukay, such character traits as honesty, truthfulness, kindness and responsiveness. 5. On the occasion of the 130th anniversary of the birth of G. Tukay, the Republican Children's Library organized the Republican Competition children's creativity"Tales of G. Tukay - a source of inspiration."
The competition was attended by 1713 children and adolescents - readers of 36 municipal districts of the republic and the city of Kazan.
The Republican Children's Library of the Republic of Tatarstan received 94 works that won 1st place in two age categories (grades 3-4; grades 5-6).
Crafts based on the works of G. Tukay, made in different techniques from a wide variety of materials: applique, quilling, beading, knitting, embroidery, modeling from plasticine, clay and puff pastry, burning, sawing, origami, papier-mâché, weaving from paper tubes and etc., of various sizes and volumes. Each work gives warmth and a piece of the soul of the master. All the works of the participants are very interesting, original, sometimes unusual. They are made at a high level, with great diligence and imagination. It took days, weeks and even months of painstaking, hard work to make them.
The most popular was Shurale from the fairy tale of the same name by G. Tukay. It was his image that inspired 29 contestants to create handicrafts.
The fairy tale "Water" is devoted to 25 works.
No less popular was the fairy tale "The Goat and the Ram" - 17 works.
6 works were devoted to several works, their common theme: “ Magic world Tales of G. Tukay. Here, in one composition, the meeting of a horseman with Shurale, and the long-haired Water Woman, and a goat with a ram are sitting by the fire, etc.
The poem "The Child and the Butterfly" also inspired 11 children to create works based on this work.
Such works were not left without attention: “To the portrait” - 1, “Funny student” - 3, “Pussy-naughty” - 1, “Dream of the earth” - 1, “Turtle and hare” - 1.
The works of the contest participants are presented at the exhibition "Tales of G. Tukay - a source of inspiration" in the Republican Children's Library, where excursions are held daily. By April 26, the birthday of the great poet, the exposition was visited by over 400 people. Bright, colorful crafts made in various techniques are pleasing to the eye and attract the attention of both young readers and their parents.
Visitors to the exhibition participate in the audience voting.
The jury members had to make a difficult choice, because each craft is unique and unrepeatable. Therefore, the definition of the best works took place in an atmosphere of heated debate and discussion.
The jury determined 45 Laureates, awarding them with Diplomas and a subscription to the magazine Girls and Boys. School of Crafts” for the second half of 2016. The rest of the participants were awarded with Encouragement Diplomas.

Introduction
It is the work of Gabdulla Tukay that will help solve this problem. Tukay left a huge creative heritage, and poetry occupies the largest and most important place in it.
April 26, 2011 marks the 125th anniversary of the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukay.
The inexhaustible interest of children, educators and me personally in his poetic and fairy-tale creativity prompted me to create the project “Journey Through the Books of Gabdulla Tukay”.
The project “Journey Through Tukay's Books” is aimed at introducing preschoolers to the work of G. Tukay, increasing the reading culture of children, parents and educators. He considers access to the cultural heritage of the Tatar poet G. Tukay. In his works one can find answers to many questions of today.
It is valuable that Tukay's works are imbued with a deep love for his native land, its nature, his creative heritage from generation to generation brings up in children love and respect for their native home, native land, teaches to appreciate hard work, patience, lays the foundations for the aesthetic perception of the world. It is impossible not to note the pedagogical and educational motivation in the poetry of G. Tukay, associated with children's literature. It is through the poems and fairy tales of G. Tukay that the child learns the world around him.
It is important that through his works, children learn the traditions of the Tatar people, their foundations: respect, respect for elders, kindness and responsiveness. They contribute to the formation in children of such valuable qualities of character as diligence, honesty, courage, modesty, responsibility, and interest in school and knowledge is instilled.

During the implementation of the project, various forms of work are used: book fairs, game quizzes, classes, search activities, excursions, theatrical activities, presentation of books, creation of illustrated children's books based on G. Tukay's fairy tales.
The participants of the project are children of preschool age (from 5 to 7 years old), parents, educators and librarians.
Work on the project can be specially organized, as well as introduced into the usual planned forms of work.
