Notes for all occasions (c) Serg. The choice of fabric for clothes for overweight women What fabrics are best for clothes

At different times of the year, we choose clothes from different fabrics. In summer - lighter, thinner and airy (cotton, silk, linen, viscose), in the off-season - denser, in winter - warm (wool, fur).

Everyone knows that cotton is the most suitable material for clothing. For example, in a T-shirt made of pure cotton, it will never be hot even in the most intense heat. Cotton fabrics are very breathable and absorb moisture.

Flax has similar properties. Linen fabric gives coolness in summer, and in winter it will pleasantly warm the body. In addition, linen has another wonderful property that few people know about - linen fabric relieves inflammation on the skin, can lower body temperature and regulate air exchange. This is explained by the fact that the flax plant contains a large amount of useful acids and minerals, such as copper, silicon, and iron. They remain in the fibers in small quantities even after processing.

Unfortunately, cotton and linen have their drawbacks. These fabrics wrinkle a lot, especially linen. Cotton of bright tones sheds and after several washings may lose its brightness. In addition, cotton fabrics wear out quickly.

In addition to linen and cotton, silk is also considered a natural fabric. Chinese is the best. It was in China that they were the first to learn how to get silk thread and make fabric from it. This is a soft, smooth, pleasant to the touch material, it does not wrinkle much, it is very easy to iron it. Silk clothes are pleasant to wear. The disadvantage of this fabric is that it is very “capricious”: stains appear on the fabric even from water, it quickly fades, silk items can only be washed by hand, and with the use of a special powder for delicate fabrics. Silk items after washing should not be wrung out, and you need to iron only from the inside out.

In addition to natural fibers, synthetic and artificial fibers are also used in the production of fabrics. This is done in order to improve the strength of the material, increase the wear of things.

Artificial fibers include acetate, viscose, triacetate. They are made from cellulose or products of chemical processing of natural polymers (proteins, rubber).

The most popular synthetic fibers are viscose and acetate. The fabric made from them cannot be called synthetics, because, despite the fact that they are produced artificially, they are made from natural raw materials - cellulose. And it is the main component of the cell walls of plants.

Acetate is mainly used to produce lingerie. The fabric of it is very elastic, soft, practically does not wrinkle. The disadvantages include the fact that it wears out rather quickly, is highly electrified and does not like high temperatures, so it is better to wash in cool water and iron with a slightly warm iron.

Viscose fabric absorbs moisture well and is easy to iron. Things made from it will be nice to wear in the summer. The disadvantages include the fact that it is wrinkled, wears out quickly and is easily torn when wet - it causes inconvenience when washing.

The most common additive in fabrics made from natural fibers are synthetic fibers. For example, polyester. First of all, because it practically does not wrinkle and does not wear out. But things that are more than half polyester are not very comfortable to wear in hot weather, because they do not let air through and are highly electrified.

Another well-known synthetic additive in fabrics is elastin, or lycra. In its pure form, this material is used for the manufacture of swimwear and women's stockings. Lycra threads are very similar to rubber, so products made from this material do not pass air well. But things stretch well and can keep their shape for a long time. By the way, almost all modern knitwear is made with the addition of polyester and elastin. This is necessary so that the blouse does not lose its shape after washing, and the trousers fit well and do not wrinkle.

To date, in stores on labels, the most common inscriptions are: “60% cotton, 40% acrylic” or “50% cotton, 50% polyester.” The presence of artificial and synthetic fibers in fabrics does not at all mean that the manufacturer wanted to save money and sells "unnatural" things. In fact, synthetic fibers are added to fabrics in order to improve their properties and make them stronger. With the help of synthetic additives, many of the shortcomings of the material can be eliminated.

Only synthetics do not have healing properties. Artificial fabrics disrupt the energy exchange of the body with environment. But natural materials sometimes they can replace medications. The healers of the past were able to treat many ailments, using natural fabrics from different fibers for this. Ancient medical books store information about their amazing effects on health.

Cotton fabric is one of the most popular. It is light, soft to the touch, it is comfortable and pleasant in it day and night, and in winter and summer. In the cold season, this material warms us, on hot days it cools. Even seeing cotton in a dream is considered a good omen. If a girl dreamed of this fabric, she will have a successful marriage with an enterprising and economic person; if a married woman, it means that there will be comfort and harmony in the house. But besides the fact that cotton clothes us, it can also heal. Doctors traditionally use it in the form of cotton wool and dressings.

Linen coolness

Flax has been known as a cultivated plant for at least 7,000 years. Ancestors attributed the properties of a talisman to linen clothes and considered it ritually pure. Perhaps this was due to the fact that the shroud in which the body of Jesus Christ was wrapped was linen. In ancient Greece, clothing made from this material was considered the privilege of the priests, while in Egypt it was available only to the aristocracy. It turns out that it was from this light fabric that the protective shell of Alexander the Great was sewn, making him invulnerable to enemies. By the way, once the cost of a linen shirt was determined not figuratively, but literally worth its weight in gold to the nearest gram. It is no coincidence that there is a version among historians that the true goal of the Argonauts' campaign was not the "Golden Fleece", but the secret of obtaining no less precious, finest linen yarn.

Linen yarn is almost 2 times stronger than cotton and 3 times stronger than wool. But its advantages are not only in strength. Linen is a natural antiseptic. Destroying microbes, it prevents the occurrence of bacterial and fungal diseases, as well as various kinds of inflammation. In addition, this material does not cause allergies and delays the development of bacteria (the silica contained in flax protects it from decay). No wonder in Rus' flax was laid on newlyweds and babies were wrapped in it so that they were healthy. It was with linen that the warriors were bandaged so that the wounds would heal faster. Modern scientists know even more about flax. For example, the fact that linen fabric attenuates gamma radiation by almost half and reduces the level of radiation. Even in blended fabrics, where linen contains only 10%, you will not "sparkle", as linen neutralizes static electricity. In addition, this fabric perfectly regulates heat transfer: in the heat it cools the body, and in cold weather it retains heat. The high hygroscopicity of the material does not allow clothes to “stick” to the body, and excellent breathability allows the skin to “breathe”. Water evaporates from the surface of the linen at almost the same rate as from the surface of the reservoir, as a result of which the linen fabric is always fresh and cool. This "cooling" property of flax allows it to be used for people affected by ordinary or sunburn. Doctors recommend sleeping on unbleached linen for people with problematic, sensitive skin, suffering from dermatological diseases, allergies and asthmatics. Moreover, unlike cotton sets, which turn yellow over time, linen fabrics become whiter as time goes on! Linen is traditionally worn in summer. Although the ancient healers argued that if you wear linen in the summer, you can get better, and if you wear it in winter, then lose weight. Village healers recommended using this material for the treatment of neurological diseases: they put a few leaves of geranium on linen, then bandaged it to a sore spot, and wrapped it with a warm scarf on top. After 2-3 hours, the pain subsided.

Maiden's camp, seized with silks ...

Natural silk is similar in composition to human hair. And in terms of strength, it even surpasses this natural material - the strength of a silk thread is equal to the strength of a steel wire of the same diameter. Silk consists of 97% proteins, 3% fats and waxes, has 18 amino acids that have a beneficial effect on our metabolism. At the same time, the silk fiber is so smooth and delicate that it does not even irritate sensitive skin. Clothes and bedding made from this light, flowing fabric should be used by people suffering from skin diseases such as atopic dermatitis, eczema, acne, ringworm, trophic and infectious skin diseases, psoriasis and others. In addition, it is an excellent choice for allergy sufferers, because silk is hypoallergenic. Thanks to the syricin protein (silk glue) found in the silk thread, dust mites, provocateurs of allergic diseases, do not start in this material.

Natural silk clothes have warming and drying properties. This fabric is able to absorb moisture up to 30% of its own weight and remain dry to the touch. It is useful for people suffering from impaired peripheral circulation in the vessels. In such people, limbs always freeze, palms and feet often sweat. Using silk will help with joint pain, rheumatism and arthritis. And it is also known that natural silk contributes to the healing and rejuvenation of the skin. It is no coincidence that women working with silk fiber have very delicate skin on their hands. The secret is in the fibrion protein contained in this luxurious fabric, which retains seven times more moisture than other moisturizing ingredients.

Wool - for a special occasion

Wool has innumerable medicinal properties. Any of us know that wool bandages help with sciatica and back pain. However, in the old days, doctors did not advise wearing wool all the time, believing that it depletes the body. And it was recommended to wear clothes from it only for special indications. The people believed that during an epidemic of cholera it was necessary to wear a belt of red wool or flannel on the stomach without removing it. Woolen clothing is very useful for diseases of the kidneys and liver. With such ailments, the wool of lambs was recognized as the most healing. People suffering from nosebleeds are helped by clothing made from hare and camel hair. Woolen garments are best worn over cotton or linen clothing.

With this unique natural material our ancestors treated barley. They tied a red woolen thread at the wrist on the side opposite to that where the barley is. And in a day the abscess on the eye passed.

For pains of a catarrhal nature, it is necessary to put a mixture of powder, birch leaves and rose hips (2 tablespoons of each extract) for 20 minutes in a steam bath and then cool. Add to the decoction 1 tbsp. a spoonful of salt and a pinch citric acid. Dip any woolen fabric into the solution for half an hour and wring it dry. On the sore spot first put gauze, then a damp woolen cloth, cover with compress paper and a thick towel, wrap a scarf over it. Leave overnight.

In order to create a quality wardrobe that will last you a long time and is suitable for any occasion, you need to learn how to choose things correctly. The right choice is based not only on your style, taste and ability to combine colors, but also on quality materials and fabrics. Knowing which fabrics to wear in summer and which in winter, which materials are more reliable and which are worth investing in, will undoubtedly allow you to navigate the store well, become a responsible buyer, and complement your wardrobe with only high-quality and worthwhile things.

When I choose new things for my wardrobe, I always check the composition of the material. I will even say more: before considering and trying on a thing, I check the label. And if the material does not suit me, I just put the thing aside, there can be no compromises here. It depends on the fabric whether the clothes will be comfortable, high-quality and durable. In my opinion and experience, in summer it is better to choose light, breathable, natural materials that do not create a feeling of discomfort, are pleasant to the skin and help to endure hot days well. Today, in the first part, I propose to talk about materials such as linen, cotton and straw.

Linen, cotton and straw are natural materials of plant origin. In clothes made from these fabrics, I always feel as comfortable as possible and I can recommend them to you. But, unfortunately, no fabric is perfect, so I propose to consider the pros and cons of each of them.

Linen

pros

The main plus for me is that linen allows the body to breathe, i.e. it is a breathable fabric. This is very important, especially for a summer wardrobe.

Another big plus is that linen fabric is completely environmentally friendly, since not a single part of the linen is recycled during the production process. For example, linen waste is used as fuel, they are also used in the production of furniture or parquet flooring.

In hot weather, linen fabric creates a feeling of coolness due to good hygroscopicity (i.e., the ability of the material to absorb moisture). Therefore, in a linen shirt you will feel more comfortable than in a polyester one.

Linen fabric is not electrified (unlike synthetic fabrics).

Another advantage of linen fabric is that it is quite easy to take care of it, and it is less polluted. Therefore, linen products need to be washed less often, which also increases their service life and reduces the time to care for them.

Linen products do not stretch.

Linen fabric has a very high strength: the strength of a linen thread is twice that of cotton and four times that of wool. Therefore, linen products easily endure repeated washings and are more durable.

Naturally colored linen fabric (that has not been bleached or dyed) has bactericidal properties - neither bacteria nor fungus lingers on it.

Minuses

- Linen fabric wrinkles easily. This, of course, is a significant disadvantage, especially for those who do not like ironing. But against the background of all the advantages of this wonderful fabric, you can forgive her for that.

- Linen fabric does not have good elasticity. Therefore, I recommend that you definitely try on a thing before you buy it. It should fit perfectly on your figure. If the item is too small for you, it will no longer be able to stretch (like jeans or cotton tops, for example).

How to take care of linen

Colored linen products are not recommended for washing at high temperature(not higher than 40°C), but unpainted items can be washed even at 90°C. Machine wash allowed. You need to dry the products in a natural way in a straightened form, since after drying in a dryer they can shrink. It is best to iron the fabric using steam when it is still slightly damp. This will make it easier to smooth out wrinkles after washing.

My choice

In summer I like to wear linen shirts, tops and dresses. They make the image light and carefree, besides, they help well to survive the heat. I can't imagine how you can completely immerse yourself in polyester on a hot summer day. I like loose-fitting dresses and tops, slightly oversized. As for trousers and shorts, I prefer a combination of linen and cotton. In my opinion, they look more refined this way than when they are made entirely of linen. It depends, however, on where you are going to wear them: for the office, I would still recommend a combination of linen and cotton, for free time, 100% linen is also perfect. For my image, I choose only one linen item: either top or bottom, since a completely linen outfit looks, in my opinion, a little casual and peasant-like. My favorite colors are white, blue and powdered - they emphasize the rough structure of the fabric very well.

Cotton

pros

Cotton fabric is soft and pleasant to the body, it allows the skin to breathe.

Cotton fabrics absorb moisture well, which is especially important in summer.

Cotton does not irritate the skin and very rarely causes an allergic reaction (rather, this may be due to the fault of the dye, and not the material itself). I've never had any problems with this.

Cotton products are easy to care for.

Cotton fabric is inferior in strength to linen, but is still considered quite durable and can withstand repeated washings.

Products made of high-quality cotton fabric are quite wear-resistant. But it is worth remembering that the quality of the fiber depends on the variety of the plant and its growing conditions. The best cotton grows in hot countries - Egypt, India, it gives very long fibers, from which the finest and highest quality fabric is obtained. But, unfortunately, many manufacturers use low-quality cotton, which quickly stretches and becomes covered with spools.

Cotton blends well with other fibers. For the manufacture of fabric, impurities are often used that can correct its properties. I recommend that you pay attention to elastane. The addition of elastane, as a rule, improves the properties of the fabric: it allows it to better restore its shape after washing, it is better to stretch. This is a very successful combination, especially if you want the clothes to fit the body. But elastane should be added in very small amounts - usually 2-5%. So always pay attention to the labels.

Minuses

- Cotton fabrics wrinkle easily. But if they are carefully folded and stored, then things will wrinkle much less. Here you can use the Marie Kondo technique: roll things into tubes and put them vertically in boxes. Now this Japanese method has become very popular.

- Cotton fabric can be deformed: stretch or shrink. I believe it depends more on the quality of the material, high quality fabric will be less prone to deformation.

- Cotton products may become yellowish over time.

How to care for cotton products

Cotton products can be washed in the machine: white and colored plain products - at a temperature not exceeding 95ºС, colored ones - at 60ºС, thin colored ones - at 40ºС. Always follow the manufacturer's recommendations. It is better to dry cotton products in a straightened form. Drying in the machine is not recommended, as the item may become deformed. It is better to iron the fabric using steam or in a slightly damp state.

My choice

As for the choice of clothes, cotton things prevail in my wardrobe in summer. In this material, I can dress from head to toe and feel very comfortable. I love cotton t-shirts, dresses, pants, shorts, shirts, tops, underwear. The main thing is to choose good quality cotton. From my own experience I can say: the denser and "fleshy" fabric, the longer the item will last, and the less likely it will be to stretch and deform. As for the cut, in my wardrobe there are both tight-fitting and fitted things, as well as wide ones. My favorite colors are white, blue, blue, beige-sand, red. I also love striped tops and dresses. In the summer, I often change my leather bag for a cotton one: during the heat, the touch of cotton on the shoulder and body is much more pleasant than leather. I prefer tote bags. They are very roomy, light and durable, and there are so many designs and colors that everyone can find something in their style. I also love cotton shoes, without which not one of my summers can do: espadrilles and sneakers. They are very comfortable for long walks, pleasant to wear and very light.

Straw

pros

Straw is a light, breathable and well-blown material.

A big plus is that the straw material provides good UV protection.

Straw is a natural and ecological material.

Straw is an affordable material.

Minuses

- Straw is a rather fragile material, therefore, with poor-quality weaving, it can break quite quickly.

- This material does not tolerate moisture and can be deformed under its influence.

- Straw may turn yellow over time.

How to care for straw products

Straw products after wearing must be cleaned of dust. To do this, you can use a soft, damp brush or a well-wrung sponge. Straw products restore their shape well from steam if they are suddenly deformed. Try to avoid the ingress of water in large quantities, as the straw swells from this, and the product can be permanently deformed. A little secret: before I send the straw product to "winter", I carefully clean it with a solution of lemon juice in a ratio of 1: 4. This helps prevent yellowing and keeps the product in good condition.

My choice

I am a fan of straw hats. It's beautiful and at the same time useful accessory: it protects from the sun, does not allow the head to overheat and looks very stylish at the same time. On vacation or in nature, you can wear wide-brimmed straw hats, for the city I prefer a boater hat with a small brim. A straw hat is a classic and stylish accessory that will perfectly complement your flight look. I also recommend you a straw bag. Today you can find a lot various models suitable for both work and leisure. Even famous fashion houses make bags out of straw, so everyone can find something for themselves. Personally, I prefer the classic basket bag. It is light and summery elegant. Such a bag will suit both jeans or shorts with a white or blue shirt (in the style of Jane Birkin), as well as a flying linen or cotton dress. With it you can go for walks, picnics, shopping and to the beach. I also love straw shoes - sandals, flip-flops and espadrilles. On a hot day, this is the best choice. But it is worth remembering that if you get into such shoes in the rain, it can become completely unusable.

How do you feel about these materials? Which one is your favorite?

However, modern artificial and synthetic fabrics meet all the requirements of environmental friendliness, in addition, they have such undeniable qualities as crease resistance and wear resistance. To choose fabrics for overweight women, you need to consider which pattern of the fabric is slimming, and which, on the contrary, is full; which fabric fits the figure, and which, on the contrary, gives it additional volume. When choosing a fabric for clothes, it is also necessary to take into account a lot of other important factors - which ones, you will learn by reading this article.

The range of fabrics from which clothes are sewn

The range of fabrics produced by the modern textile industry is extremely large and includes more than 4 thousand articles. It is annually replenished with fashionable novelties, and fabrics that have lost their relevance are removed from production.

Modern textile stores are so pleasing to the eye and uplifting that visiting them becomes for a woman, if not a festive event, then relaxation for sure. When we look at new collections of coat fabrics, apply silks to our faces, marvel at the intricacy of prints on summer knitwear, evaluate the quality of linings and adhesive materials, and most importantly, we dream, dream, dream...

Among all the variety, you need to choose the fabric that you will be comfortable wearing, and the color and ornament will decorate, transform and make your face and figure younger and more attractive. After all, some textures of fabrics are ideally suited to one person, and completely different ones to the face of another. In addition, often fashionable patterns harmoniously look only on a certain type of figure.

To do right choice, you need to look at the range of fabrics, their fibrous composition, "pros" and "cons", we will learn to distinguish natural fabrics from synthetic ones. You also need to study the texture of the fabric, patterns, prints and colors. Be sure to find out which fabric is slimming, and what effect the pattern has on the perception of the figure. What fabrics are used to make clothes, and which ones are the best?

Groups of the best fabrics for clothing

There are three groups of fabrics for tailoring, namely:

  • woven fabrics (or just fabric);
  • knitted fabrics (or just knitwear);
  • nonwoven materials.

The best fabrics for clothing must meet environmental requirements and have high performance. In addition, when choosing which fabric is best for clothing, one should not forget about its color design.

By color solution all tissues are divided into the following groups.

Bleached, semi-bleached - natural or bleached color of vegetable and animal fibers.

Plain-dyed - these are fabrics dyed in one color over the entire surface and front, and wrong side.

Multi-colored - fabrics in which the color effect is achieved by interweaving the weft and warp threads different colors. The pattern usually has the form of stripes, checks, rhombuses, geometric and floral patterns, or a complex jacquard weave.

Printed (printed) - These are fabrics with a printed pattern printed on a smooth fabric. Printed fabrics are the most common and varied in terms of decoration.

Melange - These are fabrics made from yarn made from a mixture of fibers of different colors or shades.

The nature and pattern of the front side of the fabric depends on the type of weaving of the warp and weft threads. Depending on the complexity, weaving weaves can be simple, finely patterned, complex and coarsely patterned.

The most famous and common weaves are plain, twill, satin and satin.

What fabrics are suitable for what clothes, and what fabrics for clothes are best to choose overweight women, described in the following sections of the article.

Natural summer fabrics for obese girls and cotton clothes

Cotton fabrics are used for sewing bed, table, underwear, children's, home and sportswear. Also, cotton fabrics are used as a lining and butt (cotton dublerin) when sewing clothes. Clothing made from natural fabrics for obese women is most preferable, as it allows air to pass through, sweats less in it, and it does not cause irritation even on the most problematic and sensitive areas of the skin (for example, under the breasts). And in general, natural fabrics made of cotton, silk, linen and wool - best choice for obese women. Their hygienic properties are so high that wearing things from such fabrics is a real pleasure.

Coarse calico, chintz, satin, baize, cloth, cambric - this is not the whole list of cotton fabrics, and each of these names is familiar to us from childhood.

The most popular, most used and spectacular cotton fabrics for sewing clothes for overweight women are cambric, as well as shirt, raincoat and denim fabrics.

Batiste is a light, slightly transparent fabric for blouses and sundresses, tunics, dresses. They look very nice from this summer fabric for full products, decorated with stitching, lace, light braid, crocheted by hand. All this creates a unique "rustic", very fashionable and up-to-date romantic style.

Shirt fabric is light but holds its shape well. The composition of the shirt fabric, in addition to cotton, also includes lavsan fiber. From shirt fabric fat girls sew beautiful business-style blouses and shirts, so necessary for every woman.

Raincoat cotton fabric is made with the addition of lavsan and is perfect for sports jackets, windbreakers, trousers.

Denim is the most popular and beloved cotton fabric by all of us. Denim fabrics can be soft, dense, smooth, scarred. For greater elasticity, elastane is often added to the composition of the fabric.

Clothing for overweight cotton is very practical, as cotton fabrics are durable, lightweight, wearable, soft, with a high hygroscopicity, good hygienic properties and have a low cost. The addition of artificial or synthetic fibers makes the fabric wrinkle-resistant, more durable and wear-resistant.

According to the nature of coloring and finishing, cotton fabrics are produced in bleached, plain-dyed, multi-colored, with printed patterns and with special types of finishes.

Cotton fabric or cotton with the addition of other fibers will necessarily burn with a bright yellow flame with the smell of burnt paper, gray ash will form on the fibers, which easily crumbles between the fingers if rubbed. If a small hard lump formed instead of ashes, then the composition of the fabric included artificial or synthetic fibers.

It must be remembered that cotton fabric shrinks from water, so before cutting, be sure to soak it in cool water, dry and iron. And one more trouble - a fabric with a printed pattern or plain dyed can shed. Take an interest in this moment with the seller or check it yourself, but do not buy the fabric without checking it. A thing that loses color is disposable, and a lot of time and effort was spent on its tailoring. So how do you check if the fabric is shedding? Take a small piece of white cotton fabric, wet it with warm water and rub it against the colorful fabric somewhere on the edge, near the edge, so as not to spoil the entire cut.

It would be good to repeat the procedure by wetting a piece of white cotton cloth with warm water and soap. If neither in the first nor in the second case white fabric if it doesn’t stain on the variegated one, but the variegated one dries up and the drawing on it does not smear, then you can work with such a cut. This fabric is of good quality.

100% naturalness can also be determined by combustion. A good tailor always goes to the fabric store with a lighter in. The composition of the fabric is written on the label, but everyone should be able to double-check. It is very unpleasant to buy expensive “natural” silk and, having sewn a blouse out of it, find that it is extremely uncomfortable to wear it: the body does not breathe, the seams are prickly, the fabric is very wrinkled.

Linen clothes for obese women and photos of linen clothes

Flax for the full is another best option. True, a significant drawback of linen fabrics is their strong creasing. To improve the elastic properties, a synthetic fiber, lavsan, is added to their composition.

These fabrics are used for sewing bed and table linen, curtains and summer suits, jackets, trousers, dresses. Linen fabrics are dense, rigid, durable, low-stretch, hygroscopic, but their heat-shielding properties are extremely low. Therefore, only summer clothes are sewn from linen fabrics.

Look at the photo of linen clothes for the full ones: they allow you to hide the flaws of the figure and emphasize its advantages:

Pure wool fabrics also include fabrics containing synthetic fiber - kapron. It creates the effect of a spark and makes up only 10% of the additive.

Woolen and half-woolen fibers burn with the smell of a burnt feather, forming ash, and the presence of synthetic impurities will form a solid, melted lump.

Semi-woolen fabrics contain, in addition to wool, viscose, lavsan, nitron and other fibers.

This makes it possible to make an expensive pure wool fabric cheaper, reduce shrinkage, and also make the fabric more elastic. On such fabrics, arrows ironed on trousers, folds on skirts, as well as pleating, which does not disappear even after washing, perfectly hold.

Woolen and semi-woolen fabrics are produced in plain-dyed, multi-colored, melange and with a printed pattern.

The finished product should be dry-cleaned periodically, as natural wool sits heavily and absorbs dust.

Home washing can ruin appearance favorite thing.

Fabrics with a high content (more than 30%) of lavsan are often called "dry". They are difficult to iron, and the seams have a slightly tightened look.

So when buying, always be interested in the percentage of synthetic fibers, remember the complexity in tailoring and wet heat treatment.

Silk clothes for full: models of dresses made of crepe de chine and other silk fabrics

Silk for overweight is the best solution for tailoring both evening dresses and beautiful home clothes. These fabrics are used for sewing tunics, blouses, dresses, evening dresses, bathrobes, pajamas.

Georgette is a light, very thin and translucent silk fabric, harsh to the touch. Elegant blouses and dresses are sewn from it.

Georgette crepe is a silk thin, translucent, shiny fabric from which blouses, dresses, tunics are sewn. Among other things, the fabric is characterized by rigidity, elasticity and high shedding in the open cut.

Crepe de chine is a silk fabric with a fine-grained surface and a moderate sheen. Crepe de chine for full is used for tailoring light dresses, sundresses, blouses.

Moire is a dense, shimmering in the light with various shades, silk or semi-silk fabric. Made from moire evening dresses, ribbons, and also used as a finish.

Ponge - silk fabric with a rough surface and a multi-colored pattern in the form of stripes, cells, patterned melange, etc., on the surface of which there are thickenings, loops, knots. Eponge is used for sewing dresses, blouses, tunics.

Models of silk dresses for obese women are unusually light, beautiful, soft, but at the same time elastic, with a pleasant sheen. Silk fabrics are durable and have excellent hygienic properties, high cost.

Some types of silk fabrics are produced with a small addition of artificial threads and are used for sewing dresses and suits.

Silk fabrics can be plain dyed, variegated, printed or etched, embossed with all sorts of finishes.

Silk fabrics are difficult to sew and cut. They slide, stretch and "float" under the scissors, and should be cut in one layer. Threads for sewing seams should be thin. Another negative point in working with silk is the shedding and rarefaction of sections. Blouses and dresses should be loose enough, as even a slight tension on the seams will be indicated by the separation of the threads of the fabric.

Silk fabrics shrink a lot after washing, and the printed pattern can “float” and “smear”. Carry out the necessary measures before cutting: wet the cut in cool water with a little vinegar, dry and iron with a non-hot iron. Silk items are very delicate and should be washed with special detergents that preserve softness and color. After washing, it is necessary to dry the silk in the shade, not under the direct rays of the sun, as it loses its strength in the light.

Threads of natural silk are burning with the smell of burnt feathers. Burning, they leave ashes, and the presence of small artificial impurities gives the formation of a small solid influx.

Artificial fabrics for obese women

Artificial fabrics for full ones are good because they drape beautifully, besides they are smooth, wearable, dense, slippery, with a sharp or matte sheen. Their hygienic properties are quite high.

Artificial fabrics are widely used for tailoring women's clothing: dresses, blouses, sundresses, tunics and much more. Fabrics made from viscose threads are the most common: crepe de chine, taffeta, crepe satin, crepe maroquin, shirt, raincoat and others. Viscose lining fabric (twill, satin) is considered one of the best.

By the nature of coloring and finishing, these fabrics can be very diverse: plain-dyed, with a printed pattern, multi-colored with metallic threads, shiny knurling, and so on.

The cutting process can be difficult, as rayon slips, stretches and easily shifts under the scissors. If the fabric is thin, then the threads move apart at the seams. With improper wet-heat treatment, lasses that cannot be removed can form on the fabric, so it is better to iron from the wrong side or at a low temperature.

Synthetic fabrics for obese women

Synthetic fibers are obtained by synthesizing natural low molecular weight compounds. The feedstock is natural gas, oil, coal, acetylene and others. Such a variety makes it possible to obtain fibers with different, predetermined properties.

Currently, there are several thousand types of synthetic fibers, but their number is growing every year. In the era of technological progress, there is an urgent need to search for new chemical materials that can replace such scarce natural raw materials.

Thus, fibers with excellent consumer properties were created, such as high strength, crease resistance, resistance to repeated washings, resistance to light, moisture, bacteria, and others. Clothing for full of synthetic fabrics is becoming increasingly popular.

However, the hygienic properties of most artificial fibers are very much inferior to natural ones. Only clothes made from natural silk, linen, wool and cotton will pass moisture well and have high hygroscopicity. Fabrics made from natural fibers are environmentally friendly and have a beneficial effect on human health.

Various fabrics, knitted fabrics are made from synthetic fibers; they are used in hosiery production, haberdashery.

Often such fibers are added to natural ones to obtain blended fabrics with improved consumer properties and lower cost. We are well aware of such fibers as lavsan, capron, nylon, acrylic, polyester, elastane, lycra and others.

Natural fabrics are easy to distinguish from artificial and synthetic ones by the nature of the burning threads. Only natural fabrics leave gray ash after combustion, which can be easily rubbed between the fingers. Artificial (except viscose) and synthetic fibers leave a dark sintered influx after combustion.

In addition, natural fabrics, when burned, emit the smell of a burnt pen or paper.

Models of fashionable clothes from knitwear for overweight women (with photo)

Knitwear is a material knitted by hand or machine. In fabrics, the warp and weft threads are fixed rather rigidly, while in knitwear they are in a free state. This gives the fabric extensibility, elasticity, softness, but at the same time low dimensional stability and unraveling. That is why knitwear for obese women is used as often as other natural fabrics.

Cotton, wool, artificial and synthetic fibers are used as raw materials for knitted fabrics.

Knitted fabrics are distinguished by a wide variety of used types of threads and yarns, weaves and colors, thickness and density. Knitwear for fat ones can be smoothly dyed, melange, multi-colored, with a printed pattern.

From a knitted fabric, you can sew a light, flowing sundress, golf or a T-shirt, a skirt, a dress and even a coat.

See how knitwear for overweight women looks in the photo: a wide variety of styles and colors are used here:

Knitted fabric is one of the favorite materials of the modern fashionista. Products from it are worn in all seasons. Knitwear models for full ones give softness, streamline to the look of a woman, do not restrict movement even with the strongest fit. Knitwear for overweight is always in trend and has not lost its relevance for many years.

The properties of this material determine some of the features of its processing:

  • all open cuts must be overcast to avoid fraying;
  • due to the high extensibility of knitwear, it is necessary to sew all the seams of the product with an extensible seam (chain stitch, zigzag, special knitted seam or overlock);
  • when sewing, it is necessary to use special knitting needles, since the fabric is cut through and holes remain at the needle puncture site;
  • to prevent deformation of the product in the shoulder seams, necks, armholes, it is necessary to put edges made of inextensible material.

Fashionable knitwear for overweight women is a reasonable investment; respectable ladies always feel comfortable in such clothes.

Which fabric is best for which clothes?

Non-woven fabrics are textile material from fibers and threads, produced without the use of weaving methods.

Nonwovens are produced from natural, artificial and synthetic fibers, as well as from recycled materials. Technologies for bonding nonwoven fabrics can be different: adhesive, thermal or mechanical - piercing.

Non-woven materials include felt, felt, artificial fur, synthetic winterizer, batting, interlining.

Under the texture of the fabric understand the nature of the structure of the surface of the front side of the fabric. The texture depends on the number and size of the elements (pile, knots, scar, blotches).

When the number of these elements is small or they are completely absent, the fabric is considered smooth:

  • if a smooth fabric has a satin weave, then the surface will be shiny;
  • if loops are threaded on the surface of the fabric, then it will be called “boucle”;
  • if a clear scar is visible on the fabric, then it is called "velveteen";
  • if there is an evenly cut pile on the surface of the fabric, then this is “velvet”.

By nature, soft and hard fabrics, transparent and opaque, matte and shiny, are also distinguished. All of them have their own characteristics and affect the perception of a woman's figure.

Volumetric, shiny, transparent fabrics always visually enlarge the figure. Soft, smooth - make you slimmer.

Soft fabrics (crepe de chine, chiffon, thin woolen fabric, rayon) drape very well, forming beautiful rounded lines. They are perfect for owners of all types of full figures, as they give softness, femininity, seductiveness and hide excessive roundness.

Rigid fabrics (taffeta, moire, brocade, thick linen) give angularity.

Warehouses on these fabrics look sticking out. Women with magnificent forms rigid fabrics can only be used for dresses, skirts and other products of strict forms, straight cut with straight lines and pleats or products of an adjacent silhouette.

Transparent fabrics (weightless thin chiffon, georgette crepe, voile, capron and others) look spectacular only on young, slender girls. But for ladies who are prone to fullness, with a pronounced athletic figure or who have crossed a certain age threshold, it is better to abandon such outfits.

But there are certain situations when you really want a new thing made of transparent fabric. For example, on a summer vacation by the sea, it would be nice to have a light tunic that fits right over a swimsuit. You can afford such a whim and sew it from natural chiffon, crepe-georgette with a printed pattern. You can choose the fabric in the color of a swimsuit or panama hat or in contrast with them. A transparent fabric with a pattern will be already translucent, and natural silk will look elegant and expensive.

Opaque fabrics are a huge variety of cotton, linen, dense silk, wool, artificial and synthetic fabrics.

Matte fabrics are fabrics that do not have a sheen. They are good for any figure. The choice of styles of outfits made of matte fabrics is very diverse.

Shiny fabrics (crepe satin, satin and others) visually increase the already full figure. This is due to the fact that the halo of light falling on the shiny fabric is reflected and adds a couple of extra centimeters to you. Even black, slimming, color does not save the situation. If you fundamentally like glitter, then use it only in accessories.
