Take 2-3 candy wrappers folded like an accordion, find the middle of them and pierce them several times from top to bottom.

Thus, make several stitches, you can cruciform, securing the thread.

This is important: you need to leave a small tail of 10 - 15 cm for further tying the resulting parts into a single large garland.

This is how the garland "grows" in length! The more you make such blanks, the longer your garland will turn out! The main thing - do not forget to fasten the thread at the beginning and at the end of the workpiece and leave 10 - 15 cm for tying the workpieces together.

Step 5

Connect the resulting blanks to each other for stocks of threads into one long garland, make knots many times and tie the remaining threads on a bow, then hide them between candy wrappers. I recommend not to cut the ends of the threads short near the knot, because. the garland blanks are still heavy in weight and over time the threads in the knots can “disperse”.

The garland is ready! It can decorate any room for the new year. On it you can attach homemade christmas toys from light bulbs, paper, fabric.

This is how our garland looks in the design of the office. At first she was small. And we hung it over the door. We stubbornly collected wrappers for this garland for a whole year and, as they accumulated, strung them on a thread. And a year later, it has increased significantly. Its length became 10.5 meters! And now we use it every year to decorate the office for many years! We attach it either on the wall above the front door, or on the cornices along the windows, or under the ceiling. All relatives, friends, neighbors and acquaintances were included in the gathering.
