What shoes go with jeans? How to wear jeans: the worst mistakes and fashion tips

So, jeans differ in three parameters: fit in the hips (fit), cut from the knee (cut) and fit depth (rise).

Classic: r regular fit

Regular- jeans with a straight cut along the entire length. The hips are tight, but not tight. These jeans are suitable for everyone and go with any outfit. The main thing is to choose the right size: when buying and after, they should be slightly tight, but at the same time there should not be a feeling that they will crack at the seams as soon as you try to sit down.

All jeans companies have a similar model. But still, they are slightly different: Levi’s will suit someone, Wrangler will suit another. It is better not to save on such a model and give preference to a well-known manufacturer. Firstly, you will wear these jeans often, which means that the denim must be of high quality, and the seams must be neat. And secondly, having once picked up a model that is ideal for your figure, you will save yourself from problems with the search in the future.

Extremes: l oose fit, skinny fit and carrot fit

Jeans feel loose and tight in the hips, ranging from loose to skinny. Both options are extreme, which means that it is worth considering when choosing the features of your own figure.

Loose- baggy, absolutely free and not constraining the movement of jeans (they are also called pipes). But you will look too relaxed in them. This is not always appropriate and not for everyone. They look perfect in combination with loose T-shirts, a casual walk on bent legs and accompanied by a recitative.

True, if you have excess weight or your legs are crooked, loose fit jeans may be the best option. In this case, it should be borne in mind that they will look harmonious only with sportswear and shoes.

skinny- the other extreme. These are tight-fitting jeans, which are not so bad to pull on, it is much more difficult to take them off without assistance. An ideal style for skinny people who are not alien to punk culture. By the way, this model is not as inconvenient as it might seem. On a skinny figure, these jeans sit like a second skin and are almost imperceptible.

In general, there are a lot of prejudices about skinny (girly model and all that). However, some of them really go. Pairs well with sneakers and almost any top.

carrot- narrow (skinny) at the bottom and loose (up to loose) at the top. A very attractive option. Therefore, in order to look adequate in such jeans, you need to understand your figure well, the compatibility of clothes and how much this style corresponds to age, place and social status.

Compromise: relaxed fit and slim fit

Less radical options, different from the classics, are relaxed and slim.

relaxed they will sit a little looser than the classic ones, which is more comfortable in many situations: when you sit in the office all day or, conversely, if you need to rush around the city from place to place, as well as in winter (you can safely wear thermal underwear under them).

Slim- These jeans are a little narrower than the classics. For plump men, this option is not suitable: it will only emphasize the flaws. But on a slender figure, the model looks amazing! And this the best option for combination with clothes and shoes in a classic style. On the other hand, of course, it makes no sense to put on such ones: after all, they are a bit cramped.

Cut from the knee: s traight, t apered and b oot-cut

The cut from the knee is tapered, straight and flared.

straight cut: a straight leg actually means a slight narrowing from the knee, repeating the shape of the leg. This option is universal: for long and short legs, for full and thin.

Taper cut- Jeans tapered to the bottom. Pairs well with the classics. sports shoes especially when the foot size is not too big. But only suitable for owners perfect figure. If the legs are long, the jeans can be rolled up.

Boot cut- flared jeans from the knee (but not from the hip, like the hippies of the 60s). This leg is easy to roll up even with a tight fit on the hips. Or, for example, let out of cowboy-style boots. Actually, with a cowboy style, these jeans look the most advantageous.

Well suited for those who have short legs, due to the fact that they can cover part. Also, the model can be advised to owners of large feet: these jeans visually balance huge shoes, whether it be sneakers, sneakers or winter boots.

Planting depth: from low to high rise

Regular rise sit just below waist level. Such models are most common, they are also the most versatile.

low rise, on the one hand, they do not put pressure on, but on the other ... In general, you should not sit in them.

high rise- high landing. The model can visually lengthen the legs, sometimes found with an additional button. Can be worn without a belt, but it's rather exotic.

Summing up

  • The classic version - regular cut jeans (regular straight) - will suit almost anyone and go well with different shoes and clothes.
  • The best option for owners of a good figure is a slightly cramped straight or slightly narrowed cut (slim straight). Perfectly emphasize the dignity of the figure and are suitable for those who want to stick to the classic style in jeans.
  • The most convenient option is a slightly loose straight cut (relaxed straight) for normal and flared (relaxed boot cut) for normal and short legs.
  • Men with a problem figure (overweight, crooked legs), if tired of the classics, can try baggy jeans (loose). But keep in mind that the rest of the image will have to be thought out to the smallest detail so as not to look ridiculous. And, of course, this style is far from appropriate everywhere. Still, it’s not worth going to the theater and for an interview.
  • Owners of skinny straight legs can try tight-fitting jeans (skinny). Let's be honest, skinny legs will not be brutal in any case. But you should not be afraid to look feminine: femininity begins much higher than the calves.
  • Not for men at all - jeggings. These are not jeans, but leggings disguised as them. In other words, for girls.

When choosing jeans, it is worth remembering two things: the dress code, if it is accepted in your environment, and your own convenience. What is more important for you - choose for yourself. What is definitely not worth worrying about is fashion. If you are not working, she should be the least of your worries.

Once upon a time, jeans were considered the most fashionable and luxurious part of the wardrobe. Their value was equal to the value of a car, and a man in jeans was ranked among the elite class. Pants were an exclusive product and brought charm and European style to the image.

For this reason, men did not think about what to wear with black jeans or what to combine with. blue pants. Today, a pair of jeans is the basis of any wardrobe, but not always the matched image is admired by others. For each pair of men's trousers, designers have selected specific recommendations for combining with other elements of the image.

Classic straight fit men's jeans

Perhaps, such a style will seem old-fashioned and irrelevant to someone, but, according to stylists, the classic is eternal and straight high jeans, of course, are must have in a man's wardrobe, regardless of his profession, style preferences and age.

Properly fitted classic jeans fit snugly at the waist and reach the middle of the heel of the shoe. A characteristic "accordion" is formed in front. Jeans that are slightly tapered to the bottom are also considered classic.

Boot cut jeans

In this model, the legs are flared from the knee and their length reaches the heel, in front it visually gives the impression that the bottom of the leg cuts the shoes.

Fashion secret: this model of jeans perfectly corrects such a disadvantage as wide hips.

3. Skinny or skinny jeans.

Skinny - skinny jeans

Men's jeans come in several degrees of narrowness, skinny jeans are considered the narrowest of them. The model follows the contours of the leg, tightly fitting the figure. Tight trousers are often worn tucked at the bottom, or shortened - such liberties are only allowed with this style.

Fashion tip: choose skinny if you are confident and will not be complex. Tapered legs visually make a thin leg even thinner.

Color palette

A wide color palette of jeans is the current trend of 2016

Two classic colors that are perfectly combined with clothes and fit into different stylistic images are blue and black. Also this season, gray, white and blue shades are popular.

in fashion collections famous brands jeans are presented in green, burgundy, yellow, beige shades.

If you prefer shocking and like to attract attention with bright, extraordinary images, pay attention to models decorated with prints.

Printed jeans for the most daring

Fashion Tip: Basic men's wardrobe- classic jeans in dark blue.

materials

For sewing jeans, regardless of style and model, durable, cotton fabric is used. Weaving is of particular importance - it must be diagonal. If the jeans are made from a fabric consisting entirely of cotton, they will shrink after washing.

The material that stretches slightly is considered optimal - with the addition of elastane (from 2 to 5%). This model sits perfectly on the figure and does not stretch on the knees.

Fashion tip: feel the fabric of the jeans, it should be slightly velvety.

Decor and accessories

Since it's about discreet men's fashion, stylists recommend to refrain from bright colors, a large number of decor and accessories. A man should always look perfect and most importantly - by age. Appliques, embroideries and bright prints are fashionable, appropriate in adolescence. The more respectable the age of a man, the more conservative the model of jeans should be.

How to wear blue and black classic jeans

Blue and black jeans - the basis of everyday wardrobe

First of all, jeans are an integral part of casual style. They go well with white T-shirts, plaid shirts, warm cardigans and pullovers. Some stylists believe that jeans cannot be worn with a denim shirt, however, if all parts of the image are matched in the same tone, it looks stylish.

Light blue jeans are combined with white T-shirts, light shirts, sweatshirts and thick knit sweaters. As for outerwear, jeans look quite harmonious with leather jacket.

If you want to give some rigor and restraint to your image, put on a white or blue shirt, and put on a jacket on top.

Accessories will complement the image - a belt, tie or scarf, it is important that they echo the shade of the shoes.

Black jeans harmoniously look with sportswear, with things in casual style and even with classics. Combine them with shirts different shades, bright sweaters and cardigans, turtleneck sweaters, jumpers and turtlenecks.

A very bright and contrasting image is obtained in combination with a white T-shirt. Try to complement the classic set - black jeans and a white tank top - with white sneakers and a black leather jacket. You can replace sneakers with brown boots and dilute the look with a white hat.

Black jeans with a shirt look stylish and strict, complemented by a classic-cut jacket, and a tie is used as accessories. You can wear a coat on top.

Classic business jeans

Shoes for black jeans are selected very different - stylish shoes, rough boots, sneakers, loafers. Just choose the shoes that are comfortable for you.

Fashion Tip: Don't smooth out the creases on black jeans, as they only vaguely resemble dress pants.

What to wear with ripped jeans

Fashion ripped jeans

Every year designers offer new models men's jeans, because denim-style things are so practical that they will never lose their relevance. A special niche in men's fashion is ripped jeans. The secret of the popularity of this extravagant model lies in the combination of practicality and showiness.

Many guys use ripped jeans to meet members of the opposite sex. The paradox is that girls are attracted to slightly careless and brutal young people. It is jeans with traces of aging that emphasize the style and originality of your inner world.

How to wear skinny skinny jeans

Before moving on to the question of what to wear with skinny jeans, let's figure out how skinny differs from slims. Many mistakenly use both terms for the name of one model of men's trousers, but this is not entirely true.

Skinny jeans are very skinny jeans. Slims are classic trousers with a slim fit. Skinnies were originally considered part of women's wardrobe. Thanks to democratic modern fashion skinny pants have become part of the men's wardrobe.

Skinny jeans are preferable for men with a good physique, because skinny emphasizes all the flaws and extra centimeters on the figure.

Skinny jeans are paired with T-shirts for a flattering fit.

Ripped jeans with a white T-shirt - stylish and practical

Don't wear an oversized T-shirt with skinny jeans. Another worthy option is a classic shirt. You can also use a T-shirt and shirt in the set, and in cold weather it is enough to wear a jacket.

In order for skinny trousers to fit perfectly on the figure, it is important to choose the right model and color. Remember that tight pants will demonstrate your interest in modern fashion. This season, the most relevant models are blue, black, brown and gray shades, khaki skinny is also popular.

To create stylish, comfortable images, it is enough to purchase:

  • several shirts - white, blue and plaid;
  • several jumpers and sweaters.

By combining them, you can create stylish images.

  • if the bottom of the outfit is dark, the top should be light;
  • in order not to violate the proportions of the body to skinny jeans, it is better to choose a voluminous top.

Straight jeans - what to wear and how to choose

Jeans with a classic cut are a great choice for the office, business meetings and everyday wardrobe. In order to skillfully hide some “streetness”, that is, casual in the image, you need to figure out what to wear oversized jeans with.

Stylish looks with classic jeans

Stylists pay special attention to this issue, because we are talking about the most practical and popular part of the wardrobe.

  1. For work in the office, choose jeans in dark shades. Such models look reserved, business-like, but at the same time very democratic.
  2. To maintain a business style in the wardrobe, pay attention to the cut of jeans. Excessively narrowed models in the office look out of place.
  3. For the office, business meeting and a visit to the institute, choose classic shirts. After that, the image acquires some officiality. For an informal meeting with friends or a city walk, you can wear a polo or flannel shirt instead of a dress shirt.
  4. A blazer will be a great addition to jeans for a strict look. It is selected in rich blue, black or brown.
  5. Shoes are the most important element of your stylish look. For a business set, it is appropriate to pick up classic shoes and any of their variations - oxfords, brogues or loafers.
  6. Another element of the business kit is a stylish black belt. This detail will add elegance to the image.

Classic business jeans

Thus, classic-cut jeans are quite acceptable and practical clothes for the office and even a business meeting, the main thing is to harmoniously choose shoes and accessories.

Choosing jeans for a real stylish man

The ideal man should remain so in any clothes. To do this, it is not enough to know what to wear with jeans, it is important to know how to choose the right clothes. The ideal proportions for a man are legs, longer than the torso, the hips are narrower than the shoulders. Any minor figure flaws can be hidden and corrected with the help of things.

Three main criteria for choosing trousers:

  • length - at the bottom, jeans should not form an accordion;
  • volume at the waist - trousers should be fastened easily, without pulling the waist line, trousers that are too large in the belt form excess volume and ugly folds;
  • volume in the hips.

Tall, long-legged men can afford jeans with a low waist and tapered bottom. It is permissible to choose trousers with cuffs.

Not too straight legs perfectly hide jeans light shade, with a slight flare and no vertical print.

Disproportionately short legs are visually lengthened with trousers with a high waistline. It is appropriate to choose models without scuffs and slots. The style should be straight, avoid excessively narrow and wide models.

Clothing also helps to adjust the volume of the body. It is appropriate for thin men to choose models of a light shade and a straight cut. Owners of a dense figure should pay attention to models with a small flare, made of light material and in dark colors.

Jeans are a versatile piece of clothing suitable for any occasion. There is no such person who would not fit trousers from denim. However, many women choose the wrong model, or complement jeans with other clothes, shoes and accessories that focus on figure flaws and make the image fragmented.

Every year fashion designers develop new model jeans, and every girl strives to update her wardrobe with a fashionable novelty. At the same time, she forgets about the structure of her body and age. For example, ripped jeans today can be seen on both slim and curvaceous girls of all ages. What mistakes do girls and women make when trying to be in trend?

Misconception No. 1 - wearing jeans that fit like a second skin can hide problem areas

In fact, super-skinny skinny jeans look good on slender, long-legged girls of average or petite stature.

Misconception No. 2 - boyfriend jeans are versatile and will make any stylish

In reality, boyfriend jeans, which are now at the height of fashion, will look good on tall skinny girls with a boyish body type.

Attention! Girls full and with wide hips, wearing this model, will emphasize their shortcomings.

Misconception No. 3 - short girls with wide hips will emphasize their advantages by wearing flared jeans that have returned to fashion

In fact, this model is suitable for women of high stature, thin and medium build.

Attention! Low-rise flared jeans will visually make them even smaller and expand the hips of full girls.

Misconception #4 – Wide Jeans Hide Imperfect Legs

This is only partially true - wide jeans suit everyone, provided that they correct length and width.

Attention! Pants with a very loose cut will add a few kilograms, however, as well as cropped ones.

Misconception No. 5 - low-waisted trousers, popular a few years ago, make the image seductive

However, only a girl with long legs and wasp waist.

Attention! They shorten the legs and even an extra centimeter at the waist will be visible. This mistake is often made by ladies aged 30-40, whose youth coincided with the fashion for this model.

Jeans and shoes

Many girls, even choosing the right model of jeans, spoil the overall impression with the wrong shoes. You need to know what pair of shoes to wear with jeans of a certain cut.

Misconception #1 – Skinny jeans can be worn with absolutely any shoes

In fact, this choice visually makes the legs shorter. Pants of this cut are combined with shoes with high thin heels, provided that the girl is not above average height.

Tip: It is better to complement the look with shoes with low heels or without it.

Misconception #2 – Boyfriend jeans require a pair of athletic shoes

Despite the negligence, this model looks stylish in combination with elegant pumps or high-heeled sandals.

Jeans and clothes

Even a model that fits perfectly on the figure requires the right top, which many people forget about.

Misconception No. 1 - a single look with flared jeans is created by outer loose clothing that covers the legs to the middle of the thigh

In fact, this will make the figure overweight.

Tip: A fitted shirt or thin sweater tucked into jeans perfect option.

Misconception #2 – T-shirts and shirts in bright colors make the look daring when paired with ripped jeans

In reality, they are incompatible.

Tip: This model is an eye-catcher in itself, so the top should be calm.

Misconception No. 3 - Boyfriend jeans, complemented by a baggy top that reaches mid-thigh, hide flaws

In fact, by dressing like this, you can add a few pounds.

There are two approaches to wardrobe formation - rational and irrational. In the first case, you first purchase basic items that are easily combined with any other clothing and only then (or in parallel and dosed) complement them with outstanding ones. In the second, you impulsively buy any bright and unusual clothes without any meaningful plan, as a result of which your closet is filled with “interesting” shirts, jackets and trousers, the combination of which is a real headache.

My advice is to make it easy for yourself on a daily basis. morning fees- start filling your wardrobe with things that have the highest efficiency.

If you are for a rational approach, then first of all you need to pay attention to the real ones, and they, as a rule, meet three criteria: they have a history, have a wide range of compatibility, and are relevant now.

One such item, namely, a denim jacket, will be discussed today.

Story

It appeared more than a hundred years ago, and there was no period when the denim jacket would disappear from view. To this day, it is one of the most popular pieces of clothing. As usual, it was originally worn strictly for its intended purpose - builders, miners, car mechanics, cowboys (by the way, one of the names in English sounds like Ranch Jacket) - in general, such a common working option. Subsequently, the jacket became a favorite piece of clothing for truckers - hence another name - Trucker Jacket.

Famous actors and style icons such as Robert Redford, Steve McQueen, Harrison Ford and David Beckham have been spotted wearing denim jackets on multiple occasions. Bikers, punks, rock stars - no one missed the opportunity to contribute to the cause of building a denim jacket into a cult. Today it is truly a cult thing without any reservations.

What is the secret of popularity? It's very simple: wearing a denim jacket makes you feel cool. Is not it so? A feeling of masculinity and brutality cannot fail to visit you as soon as you throw on a blue rough fabric, tight-fitting shoulders, short Levi's Type 3. Look at Martin Sheen in the 1973 movie "The Wasteland" - you will understand what I mean. You can also try to repeat his trick with putting on a jacket (I did not succeed).

An additional factor of unfading demand is increased wear resistance and versatility: it lasts a very long time and gets even better over time, and you can combine a jacket with a huge amount of clothes and shoes, often going beyond, but more on that later.

For now, it's worth saying why Type 3 and whether 2 and 1 exist.
The predecessors of the third model were the Type I (506XX). Features: 9 oz denim, regular fit, low left chest pocket, two vertical pleats at the front and tucks at the back, and an adjustment tab with metal buckle. The jacket appeared in the early 1900s.

In 1953 it was replaced by the Levi's Type II Jacket (507XX). The fabric and fit remain the same, with a second pocket added to the right. The strap on the back disappeared, but the designers compensated for this by equipping the belt with two short straps on the sides with buttons.

Levi's "Type III" Jacket, introduced as 557XX, is a late modification that saw the light of day in the early 1960s. The name Trucker Jacket is associated with this variety. It features pointed pocket flaps, a slim fit cut compared to previous versions, and denim is more dense (14 ounces). Since the mid-80s, two lower side pockets have been added.

The pioneer is, of course, the legendary Levi's, but now this model, sometimes with slight variations in design, is produced by many manufacturers: Uniqlo (the most budget option), Iron Heart, Acne Studios, A.P.C., Orslow and many others.

How should a denim jacket fit?

Depends on what style you prefer - collected or relaxed. The first involves a clear silhouette and fit (my personal version). The jacket does not sit too tight, but does not hang on the shoulders - the size is chosen exactly so as not to restrict movement - no more. The sleeves reach the beginning of the brush, if desired, they can be slightly tucked up. The length is about to the waist of the trousers or slightly lower, depending on how high the waist is.

On some types of figures, a small oversize looks great, the trend of the last few years is loose sleeves, the shoulder seam is a few centimeters further than its usual position (photo below). There are also more extreme options, but, in my opinion, they look good for the most part only on girls.

Do not button up your denim jacket with all the buttons. One, two, three medium - optimal for looking at ease. Or you can leave it completely open. As for the raised collar, there is nothing deliberate here; lift or not - the choice is yours.

What to wear with a denim jacket

The compatibility potential is quite large. The jacket looks great both surrounded by related items in style - jeans, T-shirts, sneakers, and separated from it by several points on the scale of formality - shirts, chinos with arrows, and even ties. This is the beauty of jeans - the soil for experiments is incredibly fertile.

What pants?

My favorites are chinos or five-pocket pants in a different color than the jacket. When combining top and bottom, as in the case of an unpaired jacket, I recommend. Light khakis, plain whites, coffee-au-lait, reddish-brown - these are the shades of trousers that I wear when combined with a dark blue denim.
Look more balanced with a light denim jacket dark colors bottom.

Denim with denim

Overloading the image with denim is not the best solution: the top, bottom, and even the bottom layer in the form of a shirt look heavy. However, this applies to more than two denim items. If you decide to wear a jacket and jeans at the same time, then let them differ by at least a couple of tones.

In principle, there is nothing criminal in the so-called Canadian tuxedo (Canadian Tuxedo), a set of a jacket and jeans made of the same material, but, firstly, it does not look so interesting; secondly, such an image still refers us to earlier times and is not very relevant today, in my opinion.

What's with the shoes?

It must be understood that light colors and holes look informal. Choose shoes for them sports style, especially sneakers and sneakers. Light brown suede loafers or deserts will also perfectly fit into the image. A dark blue jacket without scuffs looks stricter, so it will go well with many types of leather shoes (example in the photo). Except, of course, black smooth leather oxfords.

Mixing styles

Basic and minimalistic, which means a win-win option is a white T-shirt or a thin sweater under a jacket. Below - dense smooth trousers "five pockets" or from a thin corduroy in a small scar. In this case, you are driving on a flat asphalt road with fresh markings. As soon as you try to add things from other categories, you turn onto a dirt, bumpy road with no clear guidelines. And here you need to be careful.

Remember, obviously strict garments with a denim jacket will look awkward. A stiff-necked shirt, a solid-colored silk wide tie, classic trousers with ruffles - all this is in too obvious dissonance with the brutal and relaxed mood that the denim jacket sets. Mixing styles requires a more subtle approach: if a tie, then only informal; if arrows, then only on casual trousers; if a shirt, then better with.

Denim jacket as an intermediate layer

Should a denim jacket be considered outerwear? Certainly. However, this will not be the whole truth. The fact is that, if desired, it is quite possible to turn it into for a while - and here is another widest field for fantasy. , sheepskin coat, coat - any truly outerwear in conjunction with jeans will undoubtedly dominate, giving the latter a chance to play a modest, but important and outstanding, supporting role.

Try it: do not limit warming in cold weather exclusively to sweaters or jackets. A denim jacket is a great alternative.

I am glad if the article helped answer the question of what to wear with a denim jacket, and in general, if it was interesting to read. Are there any doubts or gaps? Is there anything to add? Please in the comments.

Even more interesting materials in our groups.

Recently re-read here Soviet classics, and I came across the phrase: "The eternal Soviet spell is jeans." But really! IN Soviet times jeans were the most coveted item of clothing, they were ready to “sell the Motherland” for it (however, they sold it). I have a feeling that the desire to wear jeans has grown into us genetically. For many, looking fashionable is wearing jeans. And it doesn't matter that jeans suddenly don't suit you at all.

High security denim zone. Top 5

1. Jeans "on the hips." A fashionable concept that is mysteriously very popular with us, but absolutely not suitable for most!

Actress Jennifer Garner

Take an honest look in the mirror: in order to wear low-waisted jeans and not scare small children, you need to have an envy of an elastic body, narrow hips and, of course, the absence of lateral fat accumulations. What do we see in return? Loose belly, fundamental hips and a wide loin. And when the proud owner of all this pulls on fashionable jeans on her hips and, immensely confident in her sexuality, sits down on the nearest horizontal surface, she shows all her “problem areas” to the whole neighborhood.

Actress Milla Jovovich and Reese Witherspoon

2. Long years of work in the fashion industry have instilled in me a harsh life experience: if some kind of ugliness has come into fashion, then these are just flowers! Next comes the berries. These "berries" were very, very tight jeans, combined with the same low waist. You don't need to be a designer, a fashion historian, or even a person with a sense of taste to guess: the owners of an impeccable figure can afford such a style!

Singers Gwen Stefani and Rihanna

By the way, about trousers in general. In one detective story by Agatha Christie, I read a brilliant phrase. There, according to the plot, there is an investigation of the murder, and the investigator interrogates the witness, an elderly and conservative lady, who readily talks about a suspicious person in trousers and gives out a phrase that I recommend that all ladies write in yard-long letters on the mirror: “If these girls saw how they are behind look in trousers and shorts, they would never wear them again.” And it does not matter that the action of the detective takes place in the 40s of the last century. Because the harsh truth of life is this: few people have such a figure that they look great from the BACK in jeans, trousers, shorts, jeans on the hips and very, very skinny jeans with a low waist.

Actresses Anne Hathaway and Kristen Stewart

3. Did I mention something above about “flowers” and “berries”? So, there are also "hybrids" - super-short denim shorts, dressed over flesh-colored tights. With disgustingly cut trousers and dirty inside pockets sticking out from under them. Here I can admit: it’s even worse when such shorts are worn on the most unsuitable for this bare feet and walk around in a similar form in the city center.

Olivia Wilde and actress Mischa Barton

4. Denim miniskirt. Such, you know, straight and short - and longer in width than in length. And definitely on the hips!

5. Denim has entered our lives so tightly that it is not removed either in winter or in summer. And, for example, when the slush comes up, they begin to tuck jeans into boots. Moreover, with terrifying regularity, owners of full legs do this, choosing a shoe model that is not the most inappropriate.

Actress Lake Bell

Many may reproach me for the harsh intonation of the article. But I want to convey to you how easy it is to disfigure your own appearance. Jeans themselves are not evil - they are an extremely convenient wardrobe item that greatly simplifies life:

They do not need to be ironed (not to mention smoothing out the folds);

They do not need to be cleaned (yes, they generally can not be washed for weeks!);

There is no need to make sure that these sticky colored threads, hairs and other little things do not cling to them (as it always happens with black trousers);

If desired, they can be combined with anything (yes, even with a dress!).

But wearing jeans without taking them off is boring to say the least! Not to mention the fact that Russian women lack the ability to integrate jeans into their image. What I see on the streets is banal and predictable: short tops that do not even reach the navel, no less short puffy jackets, and frightening heels all the time on my legs.

Remember how in the movie "Girls" the cook Tosya smartly listed a kilometer-long list of dishes that can be prepared from potatoes? So jeans can be worn with a lot of things. Consider: with a white cotton shirt, with a T-shirt, with a linen tunic, with a bolero jacket, with a knitted cardigan, with a Chanel tweed jacket, with a biker jacket, with a leather jacket, with a laconic mini dress - and this is just a daytime option!

Evening: with a lace bustier, with a satin corset, with a silk top, with a chiffon tunic, with a romantic frilled blouse, with a sequined mini dress, with a tuxedo jacket, with a velvet jacket, with a velvet bolero jacket ...

And on the legs: wedge sandals, patent leather shoes in the style of the 80s, moccasins, elegant high-heeled sandals, ankle boots, jockey ankle boots, soft suede boots in the Indian style, biker boots ...

And yet, do not buy "the most relevant jeans of the season" without first looking at yourself honestly and from the outside! All these “fashion peeps” look good only on the top models that advertise them.
