Already from the name it is clear that these crafts are based on modules that, when inserted into each other, are assembled as a constructor. Therefore, the first thing we need to master is the creation of a module. To do this, we need a regular A4 sheet 1. Cut the sheet into 16 equal parts, as shown in the figure.

  1. Fold a square piece of paper in half with the right side inward.

  2. Having unfolded it, we fold it in half again, but in the other direction.

  3. We unfold the workpiece, fold it inside out diagonally in half.

  4. We unfold the part again and fold it diagonally, but in the other direction.
  5. Having unfolded the workpiece, we turn it inside out towards us.

  6. Along the lines that were obtained by folding diagonally, we fold the square.
  7. Bending the edge of the square, flatten it in the middle.

  8. Turning the square over, we do the same with the 3rd edge, as well as 2 and 4.

Therefore, beginners are strongly recommended to practice adding basic modules before starting to make a large batch of them for a specific craft.

Almost any paper can be used for modular origami: from color to newspaper, magazine, etc. The main requirement for it is flexibility. The sheet should be easy to fold and hold the resulting shape, so too dense is not suitable. Their size is chosen arbitrarily, it is much more important to maintain an aspect ratio of 1:1.5. The most commonly used rectangles are 53 by 74 and 37 by 53 mm. If there is no experience in working with triangular modules, it is better to take larger size: Otherwise, difficulties may arise in the final stages of adding the part.

The manufacturing scheme of the base element will not cause difficulties even for a child. The rectangle is located horizontally, after which it is bent in half along the longitudinal line. The next step is to mark the middle line, for which the paper is bent along the vertical axis and unfolded back.   • Beginners are advised to try their hand at the maximum simple crafts: for example, vases from triangular modules. According to this scheme, all elements are connected, and the resulting chain closes at the right time. The row that will be on it is created by pointing new modules to the lower ones, while in the case of a vase, it is necessary to push the details outward a little in order to gradually expand the shape of the product. When you need to go to the narrowing, the modules, on the contrary, will wind up a little inward. In total, 18-20 rows are needed on the pot-bellied base of the vase, after which the neck can be removed.
  • Since this part of the vase is supposed to be narrower, the number of modules in the ring is reduced by 2 times, and therefore new circle. It will be 13-14 rows in height, which are laid out already through narrowing and expanding to the top. The border can be arranged separately, for example, by laying the modules on their side and fixing them with glue. They should be extended to the desired height, not forgetting to draw a concave shape. Depending on the size of the vase, the number of modules placed on top of each other will be calculated.
  • At the final stage, a border is created that connects the disparate lines of the neck into a single neckline. A corner of a new module is inserted into each upper triangle from under the bottom so that free corners go to the sides. The sides of additional parts will be applied to them, and from above they will be fixed by triangles put on them. This will stretch the “bridges”, which form the border of the neck of the vase. If you wish, you can add 1 more row of modules on them, fixing the result and increasing the width of the finish.

It takes about 700 modules to complete, the number of which varies depending on the height of the craft. The row, which is the base, contains 32 modules assembled in a ring. The new stage is a smooth transition to the swan neck, which will take only 2 modules in width: this zone does not need to be touched, continuing to lay out the rows up. Origami from triangular modules: schemes and ideas

Modules are the same elements that are made up of small pieces of paper. Then these modules, nested inside each other, create beautiful three-dimensional figures. Paper crafts: triangular modules

Let's start by creating triangular modules. A sheet of A4 paper must be cut into 16 identical rectangles with sides 53x74 mm. Having bent the rectangle in half along the length, it is then again bent in half in width and unfolded. After that, the edges of the paper are brought to the fold line. Then the module is turned over, and at the lower edges the corners are folded to the triangle. It remains only to completely bend the bottom edge up to the triangle and fold the module in half. As a result, each module has two corners and two pockets with which they are attached to each other. Usually the corners of one module are inserted into the pockets of another.

Crafts from triangular modules - vase

It will turn out from 706 white, 150 red, 270 lilac and 90 yellow triangular modules. The craft will be assembled by putting the modules on top of each other.

So, it will be necessary to assemble a vase according to the above scheme.

Crafts from triangular modules: swan

The original and rainbow is obtained from 500 triangular modules of different colors.

  1. We start the assembly by creating the first two rows. For this, the corners of two triangular modules are inserted into the pockets of the third.
  2. After that, we take another fifth module, adjoin it to the side of the second module, fix the received fifth module.
  3. Then we repeat the steps until 30 modules are obtained in each row. We close them in a ring.
  4. The next three rows are added on top of the second, only in a checkerboard pattern.
  5. Slowly and carefully turn the workpiece inside out. It should be shaped like a mug.
  6. We collect the 6th row of 30 modules.
  7. Then, at the base, we choose a place for the swan's head - two modules of the 6th row. To the left and to the right of them we build 12 modules.
  8. This will be the 7th row, on which we form the wings. Each subsequent row must be shortened by 2 modules.
  9. Each wing should have 12 rows.
